A very close replica tool like Microsoft Excel with some added features
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva helps to capture real-time updates from various users at the same time without getting slowed down or crashing. It automatically saves the documents which is beneficial in case you forget to keep and there is a sudden power loss.
What do you dislike about the product?
Someone using microsoft excel would find certain functions not available with workiva. I also encountered challenges in editing microsoft documents in workiva and had to create a new replica in workiva from scratch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva acts as a depository for us where we save all the required documents. It saves us in saving documents on local drives. Also because we have global users, accessing shared drives can be slower for offshore users however with workiva that is not the case. There are no delays or lags in accessing the folders or files.

What do you like best about the product?
We have been on the Workiva platform for the last 10 years. The control over our documents and ease of reporting it provides is second to none.
What do you dislike about the product?
Features in the general folder layout and multi document functionality
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making XBRL more dynamic for tagging and review.
A good tool to track and manage audits with some capabilities for reporting as well.
What do you like best about the product?
The history section of individual requests/ tasks and the ability to collaborate on items.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is less intuitive in terms of guiding to sections that a user may be specifically interested in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Very helpful in tracking and collaborating on items. These are some features I have used the most. There would definitely be other good things. Other than that, basic reporting also is very helpful

Workiva revolutionised the way we prepare our financials!
What do you like best about the product?
I am amazed by the connection and linkage functions between Sheets and Docs, and the ability to create integrations between ERP system and Workiva. When I make a change in the Sheets, I can simply publish them to all destinations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some Excel functions or formulae which we are used to are not available in Workiva, and it would be great to have them included - e.g. text overflow/wrapping to adjacent cells.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Feedback submitted on the Community Hub are also taken into consideration by the team and addressed by Mike - this helps us to improve our financial statement preparation process.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it is easy to sign up users to be able to review and link data into reports for multi functions

Sometimes the network can be slow and there can be weird quirks, like reloading the webpage multiple times to use some features

Ease of use for writers and content owners, everything is on cloud so is always working and saving automatically, ability to comment and for multiple people to work on it, full audit trail and being able to go back to any version

I'd like the ability to download PDF with only comments that are currently live in the document.

What do you like best about the product?
Workiva offers a leading cloud-based tool that prepares and files SEC filing documents and allows collaboration and links throughout the document for one source of truth. Workiva (Wdesk) is also very scalable in other functional areas and workstreams, such as, SOX, ESG, Management Reporting, Investor Reporting, general technical memos, and more. It's intuitive and consistently improving through upgrades primarily driven by user requests.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are often platform glitches that can be frustrating when you are working on time-sensitive projects. The PowerPoint in the SEC tool doesn't have many of the features we need to maximize and collaborate with departments that have higher quality requirements for graphics and graphs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I wish the improvement on the Powerpoint would come faster for investor documents. Currently, they are improving it for ESG reporting. Still, the upgrades for SEC reporting are needed for us to add our earnings materials to Wdesk and link the documents for greater efficiency.
Workiva has been a very useful tool to make our reporting processes more efficient.
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva has allowed us to connect directly to our systems to bring in fresh data automatically as scheduled. The traceable and auditable data brings comfort and confidence each reporting cycle.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a fairly short learning curve in getting set up with the software. While the software incorporates many facets of Excel and Word, there are some intricacies in getting up to speed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva is growing confidence in the reporting package data. With a constant connection to our data sources, we have removed inconsistencies with the documents.
