Easy of linking to sheets to multiple places

It tracks and automates repetitive processes.

It isn't always as flexible as I would like.

It tracks required processes so I don't have to track them manually.
Increased efficiency
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful aspect is the linking capabilities that allow our company to work on multiple documents simultaneously while ensuring consistency and accuracy. Also, helps to make collaboration, review, access, etc. easier to handle. Though I haven't needed it much, last minute filing assistance has been easy to access with quick solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price for a small company like Dynex. A lot of the things included in the cost aren't things that necessarily work for us because we are less than 20 employees.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having several documents to complete at the same time. It has decreased the amount of time it takes to meet deadlines, making me more productive.

I like the intuitiveness of the platform and crossover to excel

Excellent Financial Reporting Platform
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Workiva is able to quickly roll forward and link all related financial statement data very efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the tables that are reflected in the spreadsheet don't always link correctly, and careful detail is needed to make sure the spreadsheet and the actual document match.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Financial reporting would not be possible without Workiva. We enjoy the tool a lot and are more productive because of it.
Helpful tool for automating a detailed process

The rollforward capabilities, along with the ability to reduce manual error

Some aspects of Excel that are not included in Workiva, that could be helpful to further simplify complex processes

Reducing manual aspects of the reporting process, and helping with project management
Version Control Savior!
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva allows us to create and monitor internal controls so much better than manually in Excel. Updates are live and each department has their own access which is extremely helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform can't pull in information and data from the test matrixes to generate meaningful reports and data graphs. We oftentimes have to compile the data separately and create reports external to the program.

Data management and source control.
Workiva is a great platform that allows you to freely create customized files and reports
What do you like best about the product?
I like that we have the ability to manage and maintain all of our files ourselves, and the ability to create custom reports for our clients. It also allows us to streamline everyone's access to files.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are still some kinks to work out - small inconveniences like not having "replace all", "select all", etc. and the performance is very slow once you build out a large file.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We keep our data warehouse in Workiva, so we can easily update data and publish links without refreshing a thousand Excel pivot tables. It is also helpful with version control and user access.
Reliable and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
The interface and finding the solutions needed are very fell defined to learn and use on your own.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have much that I dislike. I used to have a lot of issues filing but that was when NextGen was rolled out. It has since improved.

Filing errors and warnings have become more streamlined over time as the Next Gen documents has matured. I used to run into technical difficulties that required me to reach out, not any more
