Consolidated reporting tool
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that multiple solutions are available helps consolidate reporting and utilize similar data across those solutions in the different reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the functionality isn't as refined as we like it to be.

The way Workiva displays my whole work on one single window/page makes my work life easy.

- I always leave formatting feedbacks/ new feature requests that workiva is trying to solve. This will directly benefit me

Automated processes, single source of truth, better audit controls, historical version maintained at cell level

"Replace All" option is not available. Dummy portal for XBRL testing is not available.

Automated repetitive work, brought structure and control to Statutory reporting

What do you like best about the product?
The solution is exactly programmed and personalised for our circumstances, plugging into our CRM and adapting information exactly as required - but on a large scale with automation that is flexible, as needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing much - there is a large investment up front if you want to get the most out of it, in terms of planning and also interacting with the implementation team and correcting issues as they arise. In our case the automation for transfer pricing documentation is deep, reusing master narrative with adaptations, pulling financials and headcounts on an automated basis - in future to adapt these fields a relatively good understanding of the underling technology is very beneficial.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The time spent per TP documentation report, also maintaining consistency, and in future it will allow a single functional narrative update as opposed to iterative updates based on needs.
This tool is simply magical. It is very flexible and allows you to do several jobs easily

The flexibility of the Wdata and Wdesk tool. The WSync feature.

In Wdata, it is not possible to add restrictions in the data by country for example.

5 Months of using Workiva
What do you like best about the product?
It is easier to track documents, issues and incidents in one place. It is an application that is easy to use if you get the hang of it. The learning curve for using Workiva is not that high, and I guess I learned how to use it in a month.
What do you dislike about the product?
The spreadsheet does not have all the functions that Microsoft Excel has. For example, Today() and Now() functions are missing. Those functions are helpful in date difference, and those were not there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The auditors I came to work with using Workiva said that their work has been faster than before, and there are no more switching from Microsoft Teams to Sharepoint to Outlook in looking for the documents needed for Issues and Incidents.
Click of a few buttons and I get reports to Powerpoint.

Simplicity of the platform.
I like that we can easily interface with other software. Connectors to Oracle and our DataWarehouse. Setting specific times for queries to run and then push through the data to your spreadsheets.
Workiva has made my life easier while I was in Commercial Reporting. I automated my reports from the database right through to the presentation. Click of a few buttons and it was done.

What do you dislike about the product?
The Excel and Powerpoint version on Workiva could be a bit more robust like the actual MS versions, which would make my reports look better and easier to transition into the new system. Excel needs more MS Excel formulas and Powerpoint more MS Powerpoint functionality with Charts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They are solving timing issues that we are currently experiencing. It takes 3-4 days to roll over files manually and with Workiva, you just change a number. We can now reports faster and on time.

- some country specific functions would be helpful like an automatic hyphenation or a table of contents
- In addition, I would be happy about a function to hide the comments marked as "resolved" in PDF export, i.e. not to export them.

What do you like best about the product?
Most of the items can be customized based on user preference. The support team is awesome. They provide immediate responses and solutions to the issues raised.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the updates are not reflected on real-time basis. Speed can be improved.

It serves as a one stop destination for details of all controls, testing documentation, saving files, maintaining status trackers.
