Workiva is an intuitive, user-friendly product.
What do you like best about the product?
It's a very intuitive product and well organized. The ability to link information throughout the document and have multiple team members work on the document simultaneously is very efficient. The SEC filing process is also very user friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
One minor issue sometimes occurs when importing the SEC exhibits from a Word file format, the formatting gets changed sometimes and requires editing. Also, while our baseline usage of the product has not changed, the annual subscription cost has increased significantly over the years.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Workiva has enabled us to meet our XBRL tagging and SEC filing requirements and has made us more productive, as the entire team can work on the documents together.

What do you like best about the product?
Workiva is a wonderful product that streamlines our financial reporting process and eliminates many administrative headaches through automation. Additionally, the Workiva suport team is one of the best I've dealt with. They're supportive, resourceful and very responsive. It's also customizable so we can interface with internal groups as well as external auditors.
What do you dislike about the product?
No downside that comes to mind .

Workiva is very user friendly and helps us saving a lot of time through Wdata and linkages
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy using Wdata, where we can drop the updated input data on a needed basis. It is connected to all the right places accordingly through the linkage that saves not only the preparer's time but also the reviewer's time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The desktop version of Microsoft Excel has a few functionalities but not Workiva. For instance, Workiva does not let users wrap the text. The user needs to expand the column to show the whole text manually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As mentioned above, Wdata within Workiva helps our team saving a lot of time as we only need to drop a new set of input data in one place and it updates all areas that it is connected to.

It would be nice if there was a live intro training.

Less work making changes to financials and version control. Easy to file.
Workiva has been an excellent solution for managing our audit.

Easy to use, customizable to fit our needs, and the links to the database save so much time.

I wish we were able to add links in the certifications. The manual updating is painful.

What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the easy-to-use features. There are multiple different internal and external groups that work simultaneously to get a filling done. Since the program mimics Word and Excel it is so user friends and easy to get new users working inside a document. The blackline feature/authorship features have been so helpful in the past few cycles. The Workiva support team is always so responsive! They have been a pleasure to work with! I have used multiple other Financial Reporting software from competitors, and by far, Workiva is the best-built and most valuable.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only improvement I would love to see is being able to change the authorship colors. Right now, I believe it is assigned when you sign up. The problem occurs when it glitches and gives several people the same color. This makes it challenging to distinguish in the authorship tab. I believe I read that they planned to add this feature in future updates!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva is helping to solve SEC filing discrepancies. I believe the ability to not only create and own the document but also live file it has been the most beneficial feature from my perspective so far. Cutting out the need for printer services has saved so much time!

Everyone in our Office can log in and complete work as necessary.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the table and compatibility issues. It is very sensitive to symbols and takes a while to load.

Workiva Certifications
What do you like best about the product?
We use w-Desk certifications module by Workiva at our company. We have more than 500 users who are certifying on various questionnaires on a quarterly basis. Having a central place where we can effectively manage and archive responses from a large population of associates was critical to us during the purchase decision. I like that Workiva works seamlessly with our servers, providing a seamless experience for our associates. No credentials are needed for respondents to certify, and the process is user-friendly and efficient. Certification forms are flexible in design and look professional.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish Workiva allowed us to print an individual response letter, rather than all letters combined. Some of our processes involve 500+ respondents, and auditors only pick a sample of letters to audit. Instead, we have to run the entire PDF file that takes a long time to run and is hard to review. I wish Workiva had better formatting and template design features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva is a helpful tool for our SEC compliance as it gathers feedback from Sales, Financial and various other leaders to provide disclosures to our CFO for the company's statutory reporting purposes.
Very positive GSR experience
What do you like best about the product?
The solution fits our company's reporting needs like no other product we reviewed did. The customer service is excellent.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside of GSR is the inability to compare across multiple documents.

Workiva efficiently allows our team to prep and review our financial statements and share them with our auditors.
