Absolutely love working with Workiva!
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the easy-to-use features. There are multiple different internal and external groups that work simultaneously to get a filling done. Since the program mimics Word and Excel it is so user friends and easy to get new users working inside a document. The blackline feature/authorship features have been so helpful in the past few cycles. The Workiva support team is always so responsive! They have been a pleasure to work with! I have used multiple other Financial Reporting software from competitors, and by far, Workiva is the best-built and most valuable.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only improvement I would love to see is being able to change the authorship colors. Right now, I believe it is assigned when you sign up. The problem occurs when it glitches and gives several people the same color. This makes it challenging to distinguish in the authorship tab. I believe I read that they planned to add this feature in future updates!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva is helping to solve SEC filing discrepancies. I believe the ability to not only create and own the document but also live file it has been the most beneficial feature from my perspective so far. Cutting out the need for printer services has saved so much time!

What do you like best about the product?
Everyone in our Office can log in and complete work as necessary.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the table and compatibility issues. It is very sensitive to symbols and takes a while to load.

Workiva Certifications
What do you like best about the product?
We use w-Desk certifications module by Workiva at our company. We have more than 500 users who are certifying on various questionnaires on a quarterly basis. Having a central place where we can effectively manage and archive responses from a large population of associates was critical to us during the purchase decision. I like that Workiva works seamlessly with our servers, providing a seamless experience for our associates. No credentials are needed for respondents to certify, and the process is user-friendly and efficient. Certification forms are flexible in design and look professional.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish Workiva allowed us to print an individual response letter, rather than all letters combined. Some of our processes involve 500+ respondents, and auditors only pick a sample of letters to audit. Instead, we have to run the entire PDF file that takes a long time to run and is hard to review. I wish Workiva had better formatting and template design features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva is a helpful tool for our SEC compliance as it gathers feedback from Sales, Financial and various other leaders to provide disclosures to our CFO for the company's statutory reporting purposes.
Very positive GSR experience
What do you like best about the product?
The solution fits our company's reporting needs like no other product we reviewed did. The customer service is excellent.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside of GSR is the inability to compare across multiple documents.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva efficiently allows our team to prep and review our financial statements and share them with our auditors.
Good system for SOX
What do you like best about the product?
THe most helpful thing about Workiva is the versatility of the database. You can customize the database to accomodate your reporting needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
The system can be difficult to use at times, and you have to go to the customer success managers for a lot of items that ideally you could accomplish on your own.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides a good GRC and testing platform to facilitate an effective SOX program.
Great experience - great customer service
What do you like best about the product?
The customer service and support teams are top notch. Always reading and availble to answer questions or assist with tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Inability to link directly to spreadsheets or files outside of workiva makes updates manual. Would love to see integration with GL or shared drives.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva solved both our SEC reporting and SOx compliance database problems.
Workiva is incredibly user friendly.
What do you like best about the product?
The tools available through this program allow for efficient and consistent updates. We love that we can link across many places. We also find that many of the product updates continue to improve the product.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing currently. The only challenge on occasion is not seeing certain formatting issues until we are already ready to file. Obviously we could strive to check that prior to filing.

Workiva allows us to ensure our data across filings is accurate and consistent.
Accounting Manager
What do you like best about the product?
There is a lot to like, but for me is the seamless link between word and excel. Further, it has the same function as Microsoft office needed for the financial statement.
What do you dislike about the product?
Fewer shortcut keys and functions as compared to Microsoft office.

Easy filing to SEC Edgar and blackline to various version histories.
From Employee to User- Workiva is Great
What do you like best about the product?
Everyone at Workiva is a subject matter expert in their area. No matter who I am speaking with- I know they will be able to provide me with the insights and information I need to help me with my SEC filings.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was an easier way to integrate my financials with our ERP. I have used the WDesk sync feature in the past and didn't have a great experience with it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva makes it easy to share my SEC filings with my team and complete our required filings.
Workiva can be glitchy and hard to navigate. I like their reports feature.
What do you like best about the product?
The reports feature is helpful. Additionally, the dashboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
Glitchy and doesn't provide much flexibility in testing.

Workiva is helping to solve organizational issues that occur in manual tracking.
