Good system for SOX
What do you like best about the product?
THe most helpful thing about Workiva is the versatility of the database. You can customize the database to accomodate your reporting needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
The system can be difficult to use at times, and you have to go to the customer success managers for a lot of items that ideally you could accomplish on your own.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides a good GRC and testing platform to facilitate an effective SOX program.

What do you like best about the product?
The customer service and support teams are top notch. Always reading and availble to answer questions or assist with tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Inability to link directly to spreadsheets or files outside of workiva makes updates manual. Would love to see integration with GL or shared drives.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva solved both our SEC reporting and SOx compliance database problems.
Workiva is incredibly user friendly.
What do you like best about the product?
The tools available through this program allow for efficient and consistent updates. We love that we can link across many places. We also find that many of the product updates continue to improve the product.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing currently. The only challenge on occasion is not seeing certain formatting issues until we are already ready to file. Obviously we could strive to check that prior to filing.

Workiva allows us to ensure our data across filings is accurate and consistent.

What do you like best about the product?
There is a lot to like, but for me is the seamless link between word and excel. Further, it has the same function as Microsoft office needed for the financial statement.
What do you dislike about the product?
Fewer shortcut keys and functions as compared to Microsoft office.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy filing to SEC Edgar and blackline to various version histories.
From Employee to User- Workiva is Great
What do you like best about the product?
Everyone at Workiva is a subject matter expert in their area. No matter who I am speaking with- I know they will be able to provide me with the insights and information I need to help me with my SEC filings.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was an easier way to integrate my financials with our ERP. I have used the WDesk sync feature in the past and didn't have a great experience with it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva makes it easy to share my SEC filings with my team and complete our required filings.
Workiva can be glitchy and hard to navigate. I like their reports feature.

The reports feature is helpful. Additionally, the dashboards.

Glitchy and doesn't provide much flexibility in testing.

Workiva is helping to solve organizational issues that occur in manual tracking.
Great tool for filing
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy using Workiva when filing SEC reports. It's very user-friendly and can access on the web. I think being able to leave comments on any document makes it easy to review and approve.
What do you dislike about the product?
When downloading reports to a word document, sometimes the formatting gets screwed up a little bit and makes it harder to review, especially when sharing those documents with auditors and upper management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Compared to a previous tool we used for filing SEC reports, Workiva allows users to collaborate in real-time. Users have access to updated data or see if their comments or review notes have been addressed. I like the 'resolve' button once a comment has been addressed, but the comment stays within the system. Good for audit trails.
Workiva has helped us utilize efficiencies within our reporting that has been very beneficial.
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful feature is linking all of our external reporting documents to one source file, which helps ensure that if an amount gets updated, the change automatically flows through to the rest of our documents. This makes it easier to update all of our documents at once, and saves time on the backend of double-checking all amounts.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside to Workiva is that sometimes around quarter end timing, the system seems to move slower or even crash at times, which can be frustrating as all the materials are time sensitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I wouldn't say there are any direct problems that Workiva is solving solely for us, but that Workiva is constantly trying to add more features that aid the overall reporting process. These new features generally help create efficiencies and well as make the system overall more user-friendly.
Wdata is very powerful
What do you like best about the product?
Wdesk if very intuitive; one just needs to copy and paste. Our prior system had difficult codes to memorize and place in the correct position.

We had Deloitte assist us as an integrator. I suspect that made things more complicated than what would have been ideal.
While the Chain tools is very powerful, there is no training on it available from Workiva or other third parties.

Workiva is streamlining the 10-Q preparation process.

What do you like best about the product?
software development always happens, this is very helpful
What do you dislike about the product?
i feel the cost is big high. Our organization has quite high fee but we are willing to pay, it will be better if cost can go down.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
for example, XBRL upgrade is very helpful, which makes the tagging easier.
