Workiva is easy to use!
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva is easy to useand easy to copy. The files links to your backup and it is easy to update as needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
you have to publish each cell when you make a change

everyone can get into the file at once

What do you like best about the product?
Wdesk is highly customizable, which can be great for all the different customers as they can get a customized software experience. However, the customization is not worth it in my opinion.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wdesk is very outdated and behind the times compared to competitors. The software is very laggy and constantly logs the user out of the system. The Testing Dashboard does not allow the user to read the whole control description of the controls and isn't customizable to the user needs. Updating any details within a control takes too long as you have to navigate to a separate "data" tab within the system. Comments aren't able to be attached to the appropriate spot every time. The sub-sections will randomly collapse within the test forms, and the data within the form will not always be saved appropriately.

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing I like about Workiva is the automation with Oracle fusion. We are able to create queries pulled from Oracle to help build our reporting package.
What do you dislike about the product?
Workiva tends to be laggy and slow, especially when I want to copy and paste data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva helps automate our reporting, and saves me so much time. I used to manually update this in Excel without any automations with Oracle.
Wdesk works great for SEC reporting solutions compared to other solutions I have experienced.
What do you like best about the product?
The functionality within the platform, including linking and documentation rollforwards are very powerful. The company also invests in new features frequently.
What do you dislike about the product?
Over time the customer service levels from CSM's have decreased. I often have to solve my own problems/answer my own questions through self-learning.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva keeps us organized and saves time rolling from period report to period report. The linking is easy to trace for tieouts, reducing potential errors.
Workiva contacts are knowledgeable, responsive, and the platform is easy to work with.
What do you like best about the product?
They have responsive and knowledgeable customer service reps and a user-friendly platform that makes it easy to roll previous filings as a baseline for new filings.
What do you dislike about the product?
They increased their pricing and created a separate Stat Audit service (which we didn't need) so we could no longer create our Stat reports in the platform for free.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They are creating ways to lock specific sections of filings or restrict access to specific sections which allows us to control who and when the draft can be edited.

What do you like best about the product?
Ability for multiple users to edit at a time. Ability to track who has made updates and when.
What do you dislike about the product?
Certification functionality should be more flexibtle, allowing for heirarchy rollups and restricted access across letters.

Linking supporting files to main document streamlines processes and saves time of manual input. Also, able to have multiple folks in the document at once allowing for better collaboration.
Excellent user interface
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva has a very user-friendly, intuitive user interface. It makes is very easy for new users to navigate and learn to use the system quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like that I have to go to customer service for any changes that I would like to make to forms. I wish I had more autonomy in creating forms and naming form fields.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva works well for our SOX solution. The reporting and tracking capabilities are easy to use and help us make sure we are on track with our assessment.

What do you like best about the product?
Utilizing Workiva for internal / external reporting, which streamlines processes, along with great customer service.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not having 100% of the functions from excel, powerpoint, word, etc. in the tool. There are certain types of charts that can't be created in powerpoint. In addition, when external legal firms prepare documents, their bullet point format is not a standard format consistent with Workiva's options. So, I have to create custom formats when getting these externally prepared documents into Workiva.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping us to streamline our financial reporting process. We use Workiva for internal / external reporting, making it easier to validate financial statement numbers, ratios, etc., when everything is in one tool.
It's been helpful to have control over the filing process. But the interface is very clunky

Ability to control filing times; access to helpful representatives
What do you dislike about the product?
Clunky interface, laggy (which sometimes results in erroneous typing and formatting), lots of feature outages/issues

Not having to rely on an outside printer company
Excellent Reporting and Collaboration Tool!
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva has helped us tremendously in approving the automation of our financial reporting. The ease of having multiple users collaborating in one document has helped us in meeting tight deadlines. Also, the fact that it is excel and word based makes it so much easier to transition to a new tool!
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I hope for in the future is a way to automatically update the historical prior year numbers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva the software helps us solve issues we have had with checks and balances, making sure that the same number is in two places. Love it!
