Excellent cloud based software to handle reporting needs
What do you like best about the product?
1) Very user-friendly solution

Workiva provides software for handling reporting functions both from our SEC side and for our investor relations.
Valuable timesaving product
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to link the Excel spreadsheet to the produciton document.
What do you dislike about the product?
Importing a PDF Document is not smooth and it can be difficult to manipulate tables in the production document.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva has streamlined the creation of our Annual Comprehensive Financial Report. Workiva has greatly simplified the process of creating the presentaion of our report.
Workiva Review
What do you like best about the product?
I like the software's intuitiveness regarding how easy it is to link up numbers in the financial statements. Also, using the XBRL tools is a plus, even if you have a professional service manager from Workiva performing that work.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the fact that Workiva's new "XBRL Review" tool does not have any way to track for changes in an XBRL outline.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has helped our company to be more productive because we spend less time preparing our financial statements now that we have automated links. The software is much more intuitive than the software we were using previously.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to real-time connect with team on a document. The revision history, comments, cell history, links make it SO powerful! Certifications are powerful to manage reviews and approvals
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there are brief outages of functionality (ability to add comment will disappear until I refresh browser, etc). I would like to be able to edit who is on a certification letter after it has been sent out, without having to delete and create a new one.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Connection between subledger data and Wdesk allows us to (nearly) instantly generate financial information in a synchronized place that can easily be disseminated to other areas.
Best SEC Reporting Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva makes SEC Reporting quite seamless from the track changes ability, tagging, linking, multiple editors for collaborations and XBRL. It makes our jobs very easy once everything has been setup and roll-forwards are pretty seamless.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much to dislike about Workiva. I think they could improve to functionality for rolling forward filings but that isn't a real hindrance to the process or tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva allows for all of our SEC Reporting process to be completed in one easy to use online collaboration forum. It also allows for the submission of the report and XBRL checks.
Wdesk Statutory Reporting Review
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva is a wonderful product for those seeking efficient and dynamic reporting solutions for their company or business. We have really liked its ability to link to data requests.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some product design elements are not as user-intuitive as they could be. For example, when switching between tabs or sections of spreadsheets, other aspects of the data request remains static.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Workiva to prepare our financial reports. It's great for sending data requests and using those to compile notes for financial statements and audit reports.
Great product, great support
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to customize over time for our company's needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Workiva is more interested in big projects than minor tweaks to existing features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SOX Auditing, support requests, certifications, and version control are a huge benefit
Good solid program, but excellent customer service
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to use, similar (but not exactly like) Office programs. My favorite aspect is the responsiveness of the support team. I have never before used software with support people that "get back to you" as well as this team. They are very open to suggestions for improvements and enhancements, and keep you in the loop as those suggestions make their way through the process.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not all Excel formulas and functions are available. They aren't "show stoppers", but there have been a few that I miss. As I said above, make a suggestion, it might make it into a future version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SEC filing, monthly analysis and presentations of results in the closing process. Syncing Excel data is fast and trouble free. It makes it easy to update lots of data very quickly.
Wdesk is the Right Solution!
What do you like best about the product?
We are able to not only create our external financial statements in Workiva, but we also track our monthly and quarterly tasks, account narratives, memos, and other analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I could do accounting tie outs within Workiva especially if I am doing a tie out of a PDF to an Excel or Word document. This would save my Team so much time and would be stored in a platform that contains review notes, sign offs that help accounting with SOX controls!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva has already solved a lot of problems over the years that have made my Team more productive, efficient, and easy to track for SOX purposes.
