Workiva is great and the customer support is fantastic.
What do you like best about the product?
The seamlessness of the software, the ability to link and rollforward and the available customer support that you can tailor to the specific needs of your organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Formatting within the documents, sometimes it's not as intuitive as a Microsoft program and while there is a plethora of information available in the help articles, I frequently feel that I can't make my searches specific enough to get the information that I need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SEC Reporting.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to link financial data in multiple files and locations has been very helpful for our team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the add-on features like Wdata are expensive. I believe our organization could take advantage of these if the initial cost wasn't as high.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Updating reports efficiently and accurately.
The most comprehensive and friendliest reporting platform
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva is a one-stop shop for all financial reporting tools. Their customer support staff is excellent both via chat and over the phone, and their online help community has amazing insights and best practices.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest issue I've experienced with Workiva is extended wait times for support personnel on peak filing days / times. If they could have a few additional support staff ready on those days, it would cut back on the anxiety that naturally comes on filing days, and is intensified when something isn't working.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva allows us to integrate multiple platforms - External Reporting, SOX and Internal Audit testing, and soon ESG - all in one. They have great help articles and kind, knowledgeable support staff.
Love Workiva, has made out tasks automated and efficient
What do you like best about the product?
Linking between statements and documents, connection to Oracle GL for refreshed information and platform that allows many users to edit documents at the same time and collaborate.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that we could have a live feed of the Oracle GL data but instead we must wait until scheduled loads or perform a manual refresh ourselves in order to update the information
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration across many different people, teams, and organizations helps greatly to make a one stop shop for everyone and not having to combine people's excel templates or use a bogged down shared spreadsheet on a shared drive.

Financial statement linking and footnote organization
What do you dislike about the product?
Hard to get legal firms on board with use for larger projects due to attorney client privilege concerns

Efficiency in SEC filings.
Use Workiva for SOX Compliance and the application suites our needs.
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the "Linking" feature to/from reports/IPE/narratives, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that the application doesn't have enough intuitive trainings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva is connecting reports used by various teams so that everyone in the company can sync up.

What do you like best about the product?
Single source fo truth, linking is easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see more in-depth demos, specifically in more complex areas like building chains in Wdata...I think the more examples I see, the better my understanding will become.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva is currently solving a problem with how Visio flowcharts import into their solution as the formatting can be off. This will benefit me in the future so I don't have to make a bunch of formatting tweaks.
Good Audit Tool and Improving
What do you like best about the product?
The workflow of the adit tool makes it really audit to assign task.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the things are really nuances. For example, if you'd like to upload a new narrative it's really tedious to reline the controls.

Great and easy-to-use platform for SEC filings
What do you like best about the product?
Customer service and support - people are very kind and helpful
What do you dislike about the product?
Platform sync to MS Word is not perfect - as users such as executives and lawyers use word this would be helpful

Ease of many people working at the same time
I would recommend Workiva to others as a collaboration platform.
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva has been an asset to our team in terms of more efficient, real-time collaboration, with on-hand support from the Workiva team. We've used it for our financial statements and Workiva has streamlined the process when working with our external auditors. Overall a pleasant experience, intuitive interface, and modern features.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some functionalities I would like to see in Workiva that I have seen in other similar applications (i.e. Compare and Contrast feature in Microsoft Word has the ability to track more changes than Workiva's Blackline feature). Tracking changes in Workiva's History function could also be more detailed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva has solved our workplace's quest for ability to view team member comments in real-time, and this has enabled us to address issues faster, with added benefits of permission access and controls.
