Long-term User
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva makes collaboration between many departments possible. Not only that, but the ability to manage the entire workflow process through different functionalities makes the workstreams easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times, it can be slow. Ever since workiva was updated there seems to be more rendering errors in a document for example. Performance is the biggest issue most of the times but other than that, it runs fine.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Streamlining specific workflows and processes. Whether that is for SEC filings or utilizing the technology in other ways. We are able to be more nimble, agile, and productive with much lower headcounts.
Incredibly Fast and Simple to Use
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva is amazing- this has greatly simplififed reporting for us and eliminated a great deal of stress. It makes sure that no numbers will appear one way in one section and another way in a different section and makes controlling access to each segment much simpler than when we all worked in one Word document and had to take turns editing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Workiva does not enable Pivot tables, so some support Excel files may need to be rebuilt once, but that's a one-time task to save a lot of time going forward. I have heard that Wdata includes Pivot tables, but as my company does not use Wdata, I cannot verify.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva streamlines our SEC reporting and allows us to work simultaneously in a document with security configurations customized to each user. It has greatly decreased the complexity of our task and increased our peace of mind about consistency and accuracy of data.

The UI and UX is not that friendly and harder to use

I like the ability to link documents to each other, perform data checks, and send questionnaires

It's a little confusing from a user experience, and the ramp for a new user is high

Excellent product and customer service
What do you like best about the product?
Our representatives are not only super quick to respond, they also reach out on a regular basis and keep an open line of communication with us. They're also very receptive to new ideas and thoughts we have on the products.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's a definite learning curve and some of the training modules could be updated. They have a ton of information but it's hard to sort through and it's still easier to learn by just following someone else who does it or by figuring it out yourself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The collaboration it provides is unmatched compared to other options. It cuts down in a lot of back and forth and allows for seamless reviews and feedback processes.
