Use for SEC reporting and workflow tracking
What do you like best about the product?
The system is easy to use and very user friendly.

Would like to Share between workspaces while using spreadsheets

We where just able to integrate with our financial statements so no more imports. Improved flow efficiency
Fast to pick up
What do you like best about the product?
The integration agent allowing direct feeds from Oracle based platforms to Workiva, once set up is user friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Implementation of a direct feed with Oracle FRS based reports would be a nice feature to have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva, once set up, allows for seamless rolling of quarterly/annual filings.
SEC Reporting
What do you like best about the product?
The functionality of the worksheets linking to the document. The creation of milestones within the document in order to create the comparison of different versions enabling the efficiency of review.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not necessarily about the platform per se but about the dissemination of information as it relates to the various functionalities and user interfaces.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The SEC reporting, the ease of interfacing with internal audit.
Team efficiency and collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Seamless changes to documents through Workiva linking and automated notifications of progress through workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
Other teams buy in to the program resources. Having centralized sourcing of information and the various groups within our Company not capitalizing on this information.

Wdata automation and the speed of refreshing our data.

What do you like best about the product?
What I appreciate the most about Workiva, first and foremost, is the excellent customer support. Michael Dressor is our Rep for Alcon and he responds to any questions we have very quickly which is highly appreciated. On top of that, it seems like our feedback is truly heard. Several features (can't remember off the top of my head) we requested appear to have been implemented. It does not feel like a large company that we are working with which is nice.
Workiva implements several features that they astound me that they even thought of it in the first place. The linking feature for our Sustainability reporting is a lifesaver and internal audit really appreciates the fact that all data points are traceable directly to the source.
I also appreciate the fact that everything saves automatically for peace of mind, and I think the Sustainability program we use is highly user friendly.
Workiva implements several features that they astound me that they even thought of it in the first place. The linking feature for our Sustainability reporting is a lifesaver and internal audit really appreciates the fact that all data points are traceable directly to the source.

What do you dislike about the product?
Workiva Sustainability addresses a problem that few have even thought of, with that, there will be some growing pains. There are several minor gripes I have, for example, I believe Workiva utilizes an older build of Excel for its formulas. Meaning I can't utilize array formulas which requires me to spend more time being creative in my solutioning when it could be done pretty simply.
From an audit lens, it is odd to me that input cells linked to the Sustainability program are not connected in ways that it needs to be. For example, if I as a data provider go into a data collection sheet, submit the task throught the "Sustainability" Button on the tool bar, it gets reviewed by the data reviewer, I as the data provider can go in after the fact to change that data point and nobody would ever know until someone takes a deep dive into the audit logs. It should restrict all users automatically from making changes after the fact.
I also believe that there should be a form feature, kind of like MS Forms. I wish as well that the Workiva Excel add in allows you to update excel sheets from workiva, not just Excel to Workiva. That would help so much. The "activities" log might make sense to me, as someone who is tech proficient, but proving certain activities to internal audit is challenging as there is not a definition guide for each action. Its basically just "trust me, thats what it means" as of now

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To keep it short, we use Workiva due to the fact that everything can be traced directly to a source which is wrapped up in a tailor made ESG solution.
Workiva is quicker, faster, and better.

The downsides of using Workiva are working with colleagues who arent using the platform.

Workiva makes working collaboratively on documents easy.

Customizable permissions can be extremely useful but can be confusing to users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We host maintain a large volume of documentation. Workiva allows us to have SME's work cooperatively without requiring us to reconcile each SME's version of the document.
Workiva - Best Collaborative Professional Tool
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful features of Workiva are its linking capabilities as well as the ease of permssioning within a document, spreadsheet or presentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
The inability to create a pivot table in a spreadsheet as well as the latest features such as grammar checking found in many other programs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows for controlled collaboration and to create single sources of truth.
GRC Workiva
What do you like best about the product?
We use Workiva across GRC. The tool is very useful in keeping all the GRC Teams aligned. The tool is very customizable for any process.
What do you dislike about the product?
It’s too customizable at times. It would be great to have off the shelf functionality.
