Great product for improved efficiency and scalability
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Workiva helps with quickly updating financial statements, decreasing errors, and improving productivity. This is especially beneficial for the financial reporting team, as it limits our time checking for inconsistencies and allows for linking across various documents. I also like how multiple users can collaborate on the same document simultaneously and there are review features such as blacklines and track changes.
What do you dislike about the product?
With multiple tabs in the same document and a lot of data included, the software can get a bit clunky and slow. There are also still limitations that can affect productivity, such as not being able to restore an old version of a document and not being able to undo when you paste a range link.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva helps with automating tedious parts of financial reporting, reducing the time spent on manual processes and minimizing errors and improving efficiency. Workiva also helps mitigate risk by providing a platform that is audit-ready and helps meet disclosure requirements for financial data.

What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy that it is user friendly, with familiar Microsoft Office-like features. I also enjoy the linking features.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be glitchy, particularly when it comes to formatting and tables.

It is an easy solution for us to use to produce our financials statements.

What do you like best about the product?
All the features offered for my daily job, easy to navigage, and timely cusomer support.

Minor formatting inconsistencies upon download.

What do you dislike about the product?
not much. But I wish there could be more functionality added on the Workiva App, i.e. edit numbers, edit texts, linking..

SEC reporting and filing
Helpful close tool but wish it had more automation/features to become "one stop shop"
What do you like best about the product?
Good for collaborating during quarter and month end close.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish it had more expanded features outside of just what I would expect to see in an Excel sheet to help with SOX controls, especially when 100+ people are working in the files around close time. It would be nice if Workiva were a one-stop shop for close (disclosure preparation, disclosure checklist, account reconciliations). Would also be nice if Workiva had better integrations with ERP systems to auto pull data from Oracle.

What do you like best about the product?
I like best about workiva the options its gives me to save and export the filings as "Word" and "PDF", and more with having comments and attachment label in them for Audit purposes,

track changes and spell check features is great for any last min updates.
I had some XBRL tagging and view issues with my document and customer support was great navigating me through out the solution

What do you dislike about the product?
If i open workiva in two browsers or new window, sometimes it freezes and not load any more, I had to delete cookies and browing data in order to log back in, but if im working on one window i don't have that issue at all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Filings our 10Q,10K and 8Ks online and fast
Wokiva is a valuable tool in our SEC reporting and disclosure compliance
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva is a good tool for collaborative work. The file organization, editing tools and ease of SEC filing is excellent. Customer support has been excellent also.
What do you dislike about the product?
In times of personnel turnover, new users often have a steep learning curve, expecially when it comes to resolving errors. Fortunately customer support is strong and helpful in resolving error codes and supporting the learning process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva has solved our SEC reporting and disclosure requirement by providing a solution that allows for collaborative work. The up to date XBRL tagging support has been a great help also.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use and the way the system is integrated together. It helps have a single source for the information that you are providing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's slow, but this is few and far between.

Having a centralized location for all SEC and SOX reporting and testing.
Makes my life so much easier!!
What do you like best about the product?
The tool is so intuitive and easy to learn/use. I live in WDesk - all day, day every day. We were using another tool before, and I never realized how much time we were wasting before switching to WDesk. Everything is so streamlined - features like the linking and document retention within the tool make me feel much more confident that my work is consistent.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only improvement that I would like to see would be more "whole document" formatting - like a way to make sure all formatting throughout the sections is consistent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Primarily, our quarterly and annual reporting is documented, reviewed, and maintained in WDesk. It also allows us to collaborate with other teams through the tagging and commenting features.
Easy to use for routine filings
What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is clean and easy to navigate, and makes routine filings very simplified

Some of the design features/options are somewhat limited

To my knowledge, Workiva is working to better design features, streamline the reporting process, and improve data management, which makes our experience with the reporting tools more seamless
