It is very intuitive and user-friendly and so was easy for the team to adapt to.

I have found that occasionally the web browser can be slow.

Lack of desktop option - spreadsheet/document window can be quite small because of the additional space required by the browser.

Workiva for High Volume Reporting
What do you like best about the product?
We work with clients in the Alternative Investment Industry including Private Equity, Real Assets and Fund Administration / Service Provider firms. We have seen increased need to find solutions so high volume SPV and Fund Reporting for multiple entities and many of our clients are turning to workiva for the solution. This is because the solution can be truely business owned and there is a reduced reliance on IT and external consultancies to make changes. The platform is highly flexible and feels very familiar to those who have worked with Microsoft office products.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not really a downside but careful planning needs to be made when implementing Workiva to ensure that best practice for the set up and structure is followed. There is also a need to ensure that internal reporting teams get trained and enabled on the platform to make any roll out succesful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows our clients to better collaborate and provides a robust and secure solution for reporting. Linking data sources directly into reports whilst also having key design elements taken into account ensures an efficient end to end process

The ability to automate and streamline financial reporting processes, leading to a significant reduction in time spent preparing financial statements and reports, so teams can have more time to focus on higher value-add activities.
What do you dislike about the product?
Minimal downsides, the biggest one being the inability to have charts/tables within the Spreadsheets on Wdesk.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva is reducing the time spent preparing financial statements, enabling users to spend more time on higher value-add activities, such as budgeting and forecasting, analysis, and planning. Workiva is also reducing user-related errors, leading to reports that are more accurate and transparent.
