Nice Source of Truth for SOX
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva has been a great repository for all things controls! Previously our team utilized sharepoint and spreadsheets for our RCM, testing, etc. We now have one system that stores all of our controls data and allows us to perform testing, exception tracking, and reporting all in one area!
What do you dislike about the product?
Workiva still struggles in terms of permissions. While there has been improvement in this area, there is still some room for growth! Not all data sheets, data, etc can be permissioned on a data element level. In addition, reporting features can sometimes be a little clunky and require work arounds!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Everyone collbarating in one place and having one source of truth has been great!

What do you like best about the product?
The vertical integration allows me to use less platforms!

This software is expensive and still in development

One Stop Shop
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy the collaborative aspects of Workiva. Not only can we collaborate within our company but also with our external auditors. Additionally, the data and reporting features allow for easy management of controls and risk information.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some downsides include the reporting aspects. Our team has had to turn to other platforms such as Tableau to create dashboards and other visuals as there are some limitations with the charts, tables, and dashboards in Workiva.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva has allowed us to house all of our risk and controls procedures and data in one spot.

Assigning permissions is never fun but I acknowledge it's necessary

Workiva Carbon is now a great resource for carbon accounting that previously had to take place outside of the platform
Best platform for connectivity
What do you like best about the product?
The suite of options allows for a lot of cross-collaboration across teams and functions

Can be challenging to learn, but staff is very helpful

Automates greenhouse gas reporting, allows me to send tasks to ESG data providers, produces linked data in reports
User friendly platform
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva makes it very easy to link financial data. I love being able to copy and paste from the source spreadsheet.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a fairly new user, I do not have too many issues. A personal issue of mine is knowing there are a lot of features I'm not utilizing and not enough time in the day to research/learn.

New but liking it
What do you like best about the product?
I like how quick and easy it is to make updates. I can have a source of truth that links up to all my fiancial reporting that I am putting together for business managment review.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing I dislike yet. I am still trying to figure out what it has to offer as I only started using it in Dec 2023. My company is also newer to using it so I feel like there are many features that we have yet to use. Our main use is for FERC reporting
