What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, it even has a great free plan option, only downside is that it will show their logo.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it to manage projects for my students, send out materials for them to continue working with. It's a very straight forward software.

Delightful for marketers too
What do you like best about the product?
Contentful markets to devs a fair amount, but the product is pretty great for us end users too. The page hierarchies are super clear. It's really easy to create new pages, and not break everything, and not have to beg your web dev to prioritize your project. Easy to use dashboard keeps everything in control. Also has really good author/user controls compared to other CMS.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's harder to hack together a page with Contentful than it is on Wordpress in the HTML view, but that's probably a good thing, since you won't have marketers coming in and breaking everything :).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a great tool for launching custom landing pages and microsites for campaigns (like say, for events). You can easily use a single template then continue to reuse it.
Great tool for self employed who can afford it
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and how FAS it is operationally.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing currently. I would say it was just too expensive for a self employed artist.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having fluid and consistent content that matches all platforms so it looks polished and like I know what I’m doing.
The basics of CMS in a simple package
What do you like best about the product?
Flexible price plan that fits with every business size. Provides data on any platform Out there.

What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't show how the finished content will be displayed live.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using this product gives our company several ways to manage web contents and store images and documents for online use.
Great if you don't know how to code
What do you like best about the product?
The UI is really nice. I have a lot of flexibility around configuration. I also like how much I was able to do just using the free version of their application. Having all my content in one place is great too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't view how the page is structured - cross-browser.
Kinda slow at times when doing more complex tasks

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a bunch of people managing content and we're also about to launch a new website.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you spend a lot of time with your CSM. Getting your environments all set is the most important thing you can do early on.
Great for nonprofits
What do you like best about the product?
I mostly use Contentful's CMS interface. It's easy for a large team to manage and update. We built our site using components and the content model is well suited for translating those components into content types and pages. We have built two iterations of our site on Contentful. Our developers love building with Contentful's framework. It gives us a lot of flexibility and allows our staff to have more control over content that isn't so dependent on code.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's no out-of-the-box blog solution so we use a third-party blogging platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're a nonprofit so we need to have a site that can handle both evergreen and new content.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Their customer service can be slow to respond. It would be nice if they had a hotline or chatbot.
Better than WordPress
What do you like best about the product?
I'm the head of a German student-run nonprofit initiative. We use Contentful in conjunction with Gatsby and Netlify to host our website. Contentful's generous pro bono plan allows us to have individual author accounts for each of our individual chapters located in university towns all over Germany.
What do you dislike about the product?
It should be easier to copy content models from one space to another.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Contentful to maintain https://studenten-bilden-schueler.de.
Easy to use CMS
What do you like best about the product?
Interface is easy, it's very flexible so you can customise it fully to best meet your requirements. Its also great at being able to create a whole range of content templates. Real-time editing is great when there are multiple users working on the same piece of content.
What do you dislike about the product?
The image/file area is quite clunky. If you're not a developer it can be quite difficult to customise. Because it's a headless CMS its also difficult to see how the content will be displayed in live.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing website data, web content and storing image/document files for publishing online.
Impressive Headless CMS Service
What do you like best about the product?
Extensive feature set, good documentation
What do you dislike about the product?
Some technical challenges when integrating
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My business has a new website with its content managed by Contentful. Contentful's service has given us the freedom to use our preferred tools and platforms to build the website, while taking away the headaches of creating our own CMS or using a tightly integrated 3rd party CMS.
Content is managed by a number of different people with varying technical skills. The clarity and simplicity of the Contentful features and interfaces makes it straight forward to maintain our content and train new staff in how to do so. In addition, the fine grained user permissions and roles allow us to restrict editing of specific content to certain trusted users. This was a key requirement for us.
From a technical perspective, after initial trial and error and some hiccups, the integration and tooling provided by Contentful helped us get up and running quickly. Contentful's documentation is very thorough and their support very responsive, so any issues we had were quickly resolved.
I would happily recommend Contentful to businesses looking for a powerful and flexible CMS solution.

Easy way to maintain your website
What do you like best about the product?
Contentful helped us bridge the gap between developers and our marketing team ( the content developers). Our car pool app, PoolY, has recently seen major success and increase in the number of active users recently so Contentful's pay as you go payment plan has been very profitable for us when we wanted to scale up.
We saved so much time and money because we didn't have to write code and create our own data servers for our website. Contentful's API readily integrated with our website and apps' code and we were up and running in a matter of months.

What do you dislike about the product?
it takes a long time for the changes we make in the backend to show up on our live website. This makes the maintenance period painfully long and creates long periods of time when users cannot access our website.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Contentful to deploy backend updates and maintenance while hiding the code form our content providers and marketing team. Contentful also helps us with storing our data and content in a secure manner.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Contentful is truly a boon for a team of developers that use an array of programming languages. It helps you abstract the your code layer from the content layer to keep things organized and tidy. In my experience, Contentful is great at scaling and handles a huge surge users very well.
