What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can find contact info for prospects and add them to Salesforce quickly and in bulk. It's a great tool for uploading new finding prospects. They often provide email addresses and sometimes direct phone numbers for those prospects as well. If they do not already have a prospect's contact info in their database, you can make a request and they will hunt it down for you. It used to be that there was a 50/50 chance they'd find it but now with ZoomInfo, it seems like the information quality and completeness is even better. When you make a contact info request I believe they test out various emails the find the correct one for that person and then they call the contact and their company to find the correct phone number. I'd say it usually takes about 1-3 business days for them to get back to me with the info, but it's usually really fast and it's almost always super accurate. Every once in a while, they can't find the info but that's very rare.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike is that some of the prospects I find on LinkedIn at a company I'm trying to prospect into and want to upload into Salesforce aren't always in the database. It used to be that when I make a request for to the team to find their contact info asking for them to be added to the database, it's only a 50/50 chance they'll find it but it's gotten much much better. When they can't find the contact info, I do have to add the prospect to Salesforce myself manually and hunt down their contact info on my own which can be annoying and time-consuming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I love that I can find contact info for prospects and add them to Salesforce quickly and in bulk. It used to be that many of the prospects I was looking for were not in the database, or their contact info was missing, incomplete, or incorrect. However, ZoomInfo has made the database so so much better! Every prospect I'm looking for is usually available in the database and typically accurate. When I can't find someone I just quickly submit a contact request and the team at ZoomInfo gets back to me quickly. The business problems I'm solving are speed to outbounding. The fast I can find prospects' information, the sooner I can upload them into Salesforce and the sooner I can get them into Outreach and into a sequence so I can send them a prospecting email. The sooner I send more emails, the more conventions I can have and the more deals I will close! Path to quota. :)
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a great tool but it needs to be supplemented with other tools and manual activity. Prospects, their email addresses, and their direct phone numbers are often not available in their database. I have to call and send emails myself to verify contact info and I previously used Zoom Info at the same time as DiscoverOrg and ZoomInfo seemed to have more direct lines and much higher accuracy.

Great Lead Information, but lags in it's operation

What do you like best about the product?
I like the amount of detail you get on each company and employee, as well as the ease to import Account/Contacts to your CRM. I also like how accurate and up to date the data is.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the biggest issues I have is how slow the website operates. I've tried on multiple computers and devices and when you move from the different aspects of the site (from overall info to lets say the technology tab, it lags. When you try to search employees it lags.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using it for my lead generation. The benefits are the amount of data available and how accurate it is.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a tool to help with your sales teams lead generation, this is definitely a viable option.

Sales prospecting. The info included in DiscoverOrg is perfect for prospecting.

What do you like best about the product?
Contact information is very good...if we have any questions or issues about the information, the customer services team resolves them quickly

I would like to have the scoop information be more timely, as when we see something about an initiative, sometimes the project is already done

What do you like best about the product?
Unlike some of their competitors, it is pretty rare for me to get incorrect contact info from DiscoverOrg. Very few of my emails bounce!

It's really easy to use, and if you like to dial they have direct dials for many contacts.
What do you dislike about the product?
I often cross-reference with Sales Navigator and notice there are contacts at many companies not in DiscoverOrg. Sometimes DiscoverOrg will have contacts that don't have emails or phone numbers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to reach out to people we otherwise wouldn't be able to contact via email/phone.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's expensive but worth it.

Comprehensive information on business and prospects. Phone numbers/emials.

Missing many contacts that are easily found on other channels. Ie. Linkedin, Zoom, Etc...

Contact information for prospecting. Detailed information on current systems used within a company.

Being able to download V-cards of important contacts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Operations contacts seem limited. Also, many companies we do business with don't have a listing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting to some contacts to at least start chasing some of the stakeholders involved.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
there aren't many options that will provide organizational structure with contact information

The data quality of DO is second to none. This allows us to confidently run complex ABM campaigns. We can target an entire org chart and stay up to date with opp alerts.

What do you like best about the product?
Discoverorg.com is an excellent prospecting tool which helps me uncover acqusition prospects and valid contacts within the companies
What do you dislike about the product?
DiscoverOrg.com's database focuses on companies with +300 employees; this means that a lot of SMB companies are not returned on the list. Also, if you search for a specific company and DiscoverOrg has determined that they are affiliated with or owned by another parent company, instead of returning the company which you were searching for and calling out the link association, only the parent company is returned, but once you know these two challenges, they become less of a problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DiscoverOrg helps me to locate prospective accounts and contacts faster than many other contact sourcing platforms. Thanks in part to DiscoverOrg's ability to verify contacts accuracy within 90-days, the contacts are extremely accurate, which helps me to significantly reduce sales cycles.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Purchase as many verticals as possible. Depending on company structures, contacts can report within different verticals.
