What do you like best about the product?
I love 1Password for years now - it is making everything around passwords safe as well as easy. Creating and changing passwords - as long as the site allows, memorable if I wish - working with one-time passwords, on iMac, MacBook Pro and iPad, all safe, now also on iPad/iOS as easy as I can imagine. And some help and reminders with privacy, weak and duplicate passwords, watchtower ... Please go on as you did, face the ongoing challenges - thank you for the amazingly useful app1
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the process of taking a generated password to the clipboard. I think it doesn't give me the best user experience. I'd like a shorter instant way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Just by the mere fact we're using 1Password to generate and store passwords greatly reduces the risk that leaks from another service online will compromise other accounts. Syncing of passwords and other secure info between devices has saved me many times when I've needed to fix something without being near my computer.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think 1Password is the best option in the market in terms of security. I really appreciate how active the company is and how much interaction continues with customers in social networks, the company's forum, etc. to provide feedback and make the 1Password experience even better every day.

What do you like best about the product?
Use 1Password on 2 laptops, a mobile phone and 2 tablets. Once I store a password, it is available on all devices. I can put bank account information, software licenses, wireless router information, people identities, database information and secure notes, what I like the most is the fact that I do not have to suffer trying to remember passwords and logins, and beyond that, you feel that you have additional protection in your accounts because you can use really complex passwords generated randomly by the Applications, You can automatically fill out and send my login credentials, my name and contact information, credit card numbers, security codes, due dates and more.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does not work on Windows Phone or Blackberry, if you forget your master password, there's no way to get it back, so make sure it's something you can remember.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps create a safer work environment and relieves the burden of increasing attacks, it allows me to share and control group passwords or important information with other people on my team. And finally, every time the password is different, there is less risk of piracy or data loss.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
great app, very useful and easy to use.

Expensive but worth it

What do you like best about the product?
I love that 1password has allowed us to maintain our security procedures and ensure that every member of the team, even reluctant technology adopters, has a super-secure password
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't love how much 1password costs at the enterprise level.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a HIPAA compliant shop, it's of the utmost importance that our passwords are all securely stored. We've been able to completely eliminate bad password etiquette (i.e. storing passwords in plain text, anywhere) by making 1password adoption part of our training.

Streamlines Password Management

  • April 15, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
A big plus in my day-to-day, is that I no longer have to remember any of my passwords, or create a formula. Another huge plus is that all of my passwords are stored behind one master password—so I can make my passwords as difficult to guess as I want—with 1P's password generation feature, I can quickly create a password using all of the necessary guidelines for each stored login. I also can store vehicle ID info, and credit cards. I probably wouldn't be able to use the app if not for the mobile app, which I authenticate with my thumbprint. There's really not much to dislike. I keep telling my family they need to switch.
What do you dislike about the product?
1Password will sometimes will store what it thinks are credentials, from random form fields, which is a little annoying. You have to be careful about saving new passwords, when it asks you, because if you have to go back in and change it before you're ready, you can't use the app in the way it's intended. Depending on the signup process, if you have a temporary password, you'll have to make sure not to save it. If you change your password, you have to be careful and make sure you save the new one rather than allow it to create a new instance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm cutting down on stress levels and time spent manually managing and remembering passwords. Using 1P is a lot safer, as well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Although 1Password is a huge step up from no password management system, you do have to make sure you do some manual management and the occasional info audit to make sure you don't save over the wrong credentials, or save multiples. Every now and then, I have to get on and delete old passwords and make sure everything is correct. A couple times, I've been situations where the info is wrong and I have to go through the password change process again. Sometimes I've stored the wrong password, or it grabbed the wrong field or URL. You just have to be cognizant of the fact that you still have to do a little work to match your process—however minimal it may be.

Fantastic for security conscious people.

What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity of 1Password is fantastic. It allows me to create and manage passwords for various places without breaking a sweat. The vault, combined with the browser extensions and iOS app combines perfectly. It saves me having to worry about insecure passwords, or remembering complex ones. I also love the way it audits your passwords, logins etc., to let you know if they have been found in any security compromises. The UI/UX, especially on Apple based hardware, is fantastic and it really looks great. The ability to use Touch ID and Face ID is also a huge benefit and makes accessing your vault(s) simple and convenient. There are also regular updates to the tool, which is very encouraging in this day and age.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really wish it was better on Windows. Whilst I predominantly use 1Password on Mac and iOS, the Windows version is dramatically different (substandard?). The interface is not great on Windows, and doesn't look at all like the Mac version. It would also be amazing if they could support Linux, but I appreciate that is some way off usually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using and remembering complex passwords for multiple places. This does it all.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is predominantly a Mac / iOS solution. Whilst it does work on Windows, the software feels inferior when using it on Windows, which is a real shame. Functionality is basically the same, but it feels like the Windows version is more of an afterthought.

It's a pretty easy to use product and you'd better have a password manager

  • March 27, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's very convenient to use with the browser plugin, and since it matches the domain name in the URL you're visiting with those in your password database, it can help prevent you from getting phished by scammers who use domain names similar to those you trust.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like it to sync on a regular schedule when using a local server. I'm concerned that they'll remove the local-server option and force you to sync your accounts using their own server. I'd rather everything stay with me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it to make it feasible to maintain different strong passwords for all of my accounts, and to give me a buffer against phishers who use misleading domain names.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's easy to use and has a good feature set. It doesn't support Linux.

My GoTo for passwords

  • March 21, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the integration with browsers through the browser extensions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish the browser integration worked in iOS
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can have a workable unique password for every site I visit. It's only inconvenient if I click on sites in iOS have to go look up the password.

Good solid tool, lacking some features

  • March 20, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Solid support for Windows and OS X. Supports most browsers.
What do you dislike about the product?
No support for Yubikey, no linux support. At some point I may have to find another tool because of these two.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease of use, unique password for each site.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need Linux or Yubikey (or similar device) support, look elsewhere. Otherwise this is a good product.
