The only real choice for password management

  • October 01, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
1Password is by far the best choice for password management. It has a fairly simple--but not perfect--interface that operates consistently across platforms and is the best looking of any password manager. It's offered for a very reasonable price. The required security key gives the feeling of an added layer of security.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like all password managers, the interface just isn't quite intuitive yet. Most issues are in the Windows app. For example, using the mini window on Windows requires you to navigate several right-click menus to copy a password. Clicking on a saved password tends to take you to a broken link on the relevant account's website (i.e., clicking my Google account takes me to the Google 404 error page). These problems, combined with a violation of the visual rules of the operating system, create an even more annoying hitch. What do I mean by this? When the 1Password Mini window is opened, it opens with the standard window controls in the upper right, implying that the window will remain on screen if the user clicks somewhere else. However, if the user clicks on something in the web browser--like a text field--the window immediately closes. If the user, trying to copy a password in the right-click menus, accidentally right-clicks the wrong password, the way to return without closing is to click on the mini window. However, if they click on a password or another menu item, they will be taken to that link, and the window will close. I might be more forgiving of this if this was implied, but when a password is right-clicked, the mini-window turns dark, implying that the only clickable options are in the right-click menu.

With that being said, while that sounds like a lot of negatives, it's still miles better than every other password manager. Plugins to every major (and many minor) web browsers often negate the need to interface with the less well-thought out mini-window.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1Password makes it easy to keep my passwords together across my myriad of devices. Apple's closed nature and unwillingness to support any web browsers apart from Safari and Chrome made iCloud Passwords too much of a hassle to use with other devices. The lack of attention to detail in other password managers makes them feel much less secure. 1Password's long history and (mostly) great apps provide peace of mind.

Convenient and Powerful

  • September 20, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
1Password supports all the usual things anyone would want out of a password manager. It's easy to set up and easy to use. Setting up 2FA on websites is as simple as a button click and very fast, and the autofill works exceptionally well.
What do you dislike about the product?
There aren't many downsides that I can think of except the login process, which can be a pain if you have multiple accounts like me (1 for office use and one personal account).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My passwords are now 20 characters long and randomized, and the autofill makes it incredibly convenient to log in to websites. 1Password has made things very safe and secure.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
1Password may at first come off as a pricy solution, especially when compared to free services that do much of what 1Password does, but the autofill and the customer support and travel mode make up for it. The apps are beautiful and it is very easy to program 1Password to conform to various types of login requirements.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like how easy it is to create, store, and autofill your passwords with 1Password 7.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do dislike how the program will pop up and try to save passwords to every single site you go to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to create and manage separate passwords for all the different critical sites that I have to use every day.

1Password is really this kind of "life hack" which feels like a super-power on an everyday usage.

  • August 31, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
1Password saves me time to generate yet another unique password on another website with another login credentials. It does not just save me time, but it also gives me a lightning-fast and sleek overview of all my user accounts and credentials. Before I used 1Password I tried to create my own list, but I quickly lost the overview and got frustrated.

1Password is really this kind of "life hack" which feels like a super-power that tackles the everyday struggle of creating new passwords and accessing them.
What do you dislike about the product?
The emergency kit is a little hard to find on their website. I'd recommend having this as a side-bar menu item so users can quickly get access to the emergency kit. Just like the EHBO emergency kits, they're shown prominent, not in the back room.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1Password is really this kind of "life hack" which feels like a super-power that tackles the everyday struggle of creating new passwords and accessing them.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're dealing with a lot of passwords, login credentials, documents, and other kinds of information that need to be hidden from others, I'd definitely recommend 1Password. It gives you a way more overview in a sleek design and is available on every platform, which makes it super accessible from a user perspective. Their support is incredibly fast and helpful, which gives you less stress when you need their help because you know they'll be quick to help you out.

1Password is a lifesaver!

  • August 24, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
1Password not only makes it easy to securely share passwords with teammates, it helps keep everything in one place and makes onboarding new team members a breeze. The Google Chrome Extension makes it very easy to use. I used it at my previous organization and recently started at a mostly volunteer-run non-profit, so this is making everyone's lives easier and saving valuable time!
What do you dislike about the product?
Adding a new password using the Chrome extension can be difficult, and requires logging into the full site.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1Password is solving the issue of sharing passwords via Slack and Google Docs, and also solving the issue of having to chase down certain people to get the passwords to various accounts.

  • August 23, 2021

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Now company's passwords and personal in one spot. I don't need to use multiple applications for that.

What do you like best about the product?
I've been using 1Password day for the past 8 years. It evolved so much and now became a critical part of my toolbelt. I like how they integrate with every OS/browser imaginable. 1Password made me become more secured by making it easier to use to strong passowrds without the hassle of remembering them.

Not much I dislike of the product. There are some small glitches here and there on the browser version where it asks to open the desktop app or stutters. Its a minor thing compared the greater good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Opting in for strong passwords on all my accounts.
Looking back at old passwords and changing reused ones.
Watchtower that gives a hint on which passwords might be compromised.
Multi-device support.
