A versatile solution for call routing and termination in the SIP and TDM world

What do you like best about the product?
We use Freeswitch as a custom-built aggregation gateway and a custom-built fax solution. Freeswitch allows us to provide call sequencing and forwarding to the next possible endpoint as well as providing custom least cost routing solutions and fall back from SIP to Copper when T38 won't work.
What do you dislike about the product?
Due to the edge case uses, there is no standard build and GUI interface for our needs. We have had to build everything in-house. Some of the integration has been challenging, but worth it in the end.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Freeswitch is our soft switch between clients and upstream providers. We run both physical and geographical redundancies with Freeswitch and replicate databases for call routing between hardware. Freeswitch is versatile enough that we have multiple companies using FreeSWITCH as backup services for each other.

I just waste my time and money, it doesn't work well.
Is better to install from a clean Debian instance using the documentation.

You guys should be ashamed. The software is broken out of the box and won't authenticate.

Bummed. Installed it, but the default password would not work

I was able to load the image, and get to the web login. However, the default login would not work. I tried using the EC2 instance as the password, no luck. If somebody else is able to log in, please update. I was able to install a debian image and use the script and use FusionPBX. Would have been nice to be able to use the image.

Created the instance but neither login for GUI or SSH worked. Don't have time to waste on something that has issues that quickly. If they can't get this right, what are the odds the system is viable. If you have time to waste, enjoy.
