Effortless Task Management and Automation for Freelancers
What do you like best about the product?
As a freelancer, I work with multiple clients at the same time. Managing multiple tasks and ensuring that proper tracking is done is not easy. This is where Asana helps a great deal. It allowed not only to ensure that the project is shared with the respected team members, but also helped me to track the status well. Starting from the allotment to when the task is in progress to completion, it helped me to keep track of every step with ease. The best part was the ability to curate different projects and tasks at the same time. Another helpful feature was the automation. I was not required to constantly check if there was a new allotment or anything. The automates messages and emails ensured that everything was done in time and there were no delays. This helped streamline actions and smooth the entire day's tasks. I was able to integrate it with the existing doc system and clients as well. In fact, when I started using this, I found it very simple to use with no deep tech points that hinder the implementation. I have been using this for almost 2 years now, and I am really happy. Also, the support for any issue was seamless.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are no major things that I do not like about Asana. But yes, for newbies, it is a bit complicated. While there is a centralised view for every project, there should be an option where they can be notified of what has to be done next, or a sharing module. Rest is all great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For freelancers like me, Asana is solving the biggest issue of task management. It allowed me to check everything and keep work on track with no problems at all. This app has helped me to manage multiple tasks, save time, and ensure that the work progress is recorded with no delays.

I really appreciate how Asana reduces silos across teams and opens up greater transparency on what others are working on. It provides visibility across teams, which I find very beneficial. I also enjoy the easy-to-use interface, which makes it straightforward to keep track of ongoing, upcoming, and completed work all in a centralized place.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the management of more complex projects challenging in Asana. It's also difficult to integrate financial tracking and visualization. The initial setup for my portfolio was hard because it involves multiple projects with related action items.

Streamlined Project Tracking but Lacks Customization
What do you like best about the product?
I think once the templates are set up, they're pretty easy to use. I also like being able to have a portfolio that has all of our projects for that year in it to more easily look across projects. The templates allow us to track progress on projects and really customize it to our company's specific flow for different conditions. So we have about 10 different common project types that all have slightly different flows, and I'm able to capture that accurately and relevantly with those templates. The portfolio allows us to see key details from a 30,000-foot view of all of our projects, including things like the project name, who's assigned to it, when it's launching, progress, and project type.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd really like to use Asana for bandwidth tracking and better understanding forecasted availability for my teammates, but with the features we have access to now, we haven't been able to find a way to do this effectively. It seems like there are some limitations in the dashboards that prevent me from setting up as customized views as I'd like based on custom fields we've created. I've tried a lot of workarounds on it and haven't been able to find a solution. I also have found that when we've reached out to get help on things, often the answer we get is that that's not possible or that's not part of current functionality. Additionally, setting up templates wasn't as automated as I'd hoped. It really felt like we had to rework the template every time we wanted to make a copy version of it, which is a bummer.

I use Asana to track milestones, deliveries, and time on client projects, ensuring cross-team visibility and accountability. It's a huge upgrade from Excel, letting us customize project flows and view all projects at a glance.
Keeps Me Organized and Streamlines Campaign Planning
What do you like best about the product?
I like how it helps keep me organized and I'm able to plan campaigns smooth and efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that Asana AI will automatically change status' for tasks.

It's helping me keep my marketing calendar organized and able to make sure the approval process within team is a smooth system.

What do you dislike about the product?
Key Performance Indicators seem impressive and useful in theory, but implementing them in long-term projects turns out to be quite complex and challenging. Project progress updates are not shown on the dashboard in real time; instead, multiple managerial approvals are needed before any data is reflected. This approval process can cause confusion, particularly when some approvals are delayed, as it may give the impression that the project is not moving forward at all.

Powerful, Affordable Project Management with a Clean Interface
What do you like best about the product?
Clean interface, robust capabilities, affordable project management, effective team collaboration.

There's really not much. I dislike not knowing all the ins and ours yet because it's so powerful!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is my single sour of truth for anything I'm working on. As such, I use the automations, AI assistant and native integrations to automate a lot of my work. It's been a game changer for my efficiency and completion.
