Asana keeps me sane

  • July 19, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana keeps my life organized. Asana allows me to keep my work organized. What's great is that not only am I organized I can keep my clients organized as well. It's a no pressure way of reminding your clients what they need to do and they can see what you have been doing too.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the different views confusing. Sometimes finding your projects between the different tabs is slightly difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a great way to keep all my Clients organized.

Lots of features but I don't feel more organized

  • May 31, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana makes it possible to collaborate with others -- to have shared to-do lists and events with all my co-workers so that we can coordinate within our team and across various teams in order to make projects happen. I like the way it's possible to create different projects and dashboards and to assign tasks to specific individuals.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's difficult to add another site/login to my daily work process -- I find that I still jot things down on post-its or use my calendar application to keep track of things I need to do, instead of putting them in Asana. It's also difficult to track where things are in a process or to schedule the order in which things need to happen. Also, it's possible to assign things to someone, but they don't necessarily have to acknowledge/accept that the tasks were assigned.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're solving the problem of multiple people working on the same issue without coordinating. Benefits include less duplication of work responsibilities and fewer conversations about "has anyone thought of x" or "has y been addressed." It's easy to find invoices, documents, and materials related to a particular project.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend you evaluate what existing productivity tools you're using, and determine whether it's better to invest more in those (or upgrade to more elaborate versions of them), or to add another tool instead -- in which case you may want to divest from some of your current business practices.

Keeping the ever growing task-list organized

  • May 09, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
My husband and I can see every task we've recorded n addition to assigning those tasks to a certain person at a particular time. Takes the stress off us to remember everything.
What do you dislike about the product?
Well, nothing really. The dislike is more with myself for forgetting to do what Asana tells me to do! :)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time and task management, communication between partners

Easy, intuitive and good for small teams

  • March 14, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to have oversight of both my tasks and those of my team members is very important. It's easy to set deadlines and stay on track. It has also seemed to have adopted certain elements from trello and other productivity tools which have helped create a more complete product.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are better tools for more graphic-intensive projects. All users on the same domain are automatically included in the same account. This is ok for smaller teams, but for larger more disparate teams this seems like it could create some organization issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a distributed team so it is important that the entire team is able to keep track of what the others are working on. It promotes accountability and allows us to adapt as needed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We did trials of a few different options, and our trial with Asana helped cement our decision. If your team is small enough it can stay free and if you're looking for a way to manage your projects, no reason not to try it.

Great tool for group project managment!

What do you like best about the product?
I love the tagging and task following capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really wish you didn't have a pay just as much as Asana it's self for the time tracking. I think that is a core feature that should come with basic membership. It would be so nice to allocate a time amount to a task so that the team can see workload in that way. Too much to do is our biggest issue right now and we need a way to prove that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization and simple project management where huge issues as our team grew. This has helped all of us work together, keep on track, and helps nothing to fall threw the cracks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Always do your research, but asana is what was best for our team.

Absolutely Love Asana

  • January 18, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the visibility that Asana gives our Stakeholders. Through using Asana we've taken what used to be 3-4 hour meetings and trimmed them down to 30 minute meetings!
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that they don't have a solid Windows Phone app is the only thing that i would say that i dislike about Asana. Considering the tools that Microsoft provides to easily make apps that bridge all 3 platforms, i don't know why people continue to treat us Windows Phone users like the black sheep!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
API Integration was easily implemented. Ability to associate tasks with one another while keeping them organized by area of concern, while still providing great visibility and notification of progress has been life changing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would definitely give Asana a shot if you're at all unhappy with your current task software

Asana helps me organize web design projects.

  • December 20, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate that Asana now offers project management tools in both list and tile formats. I personally prefer the list format. It's easy to see our progress at any given time. It also makes it super simple for me to quickly look at a project and see whether we're on track to finish on time and on-budget. Project management for website design projects can be a nightmare, but Asana really has helped me stay on top of my client work, and has helped my sanity!
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana's user interface can be a bit confusing at times. There are so many capabilities, and it can be challenging to discover what formats and configurations will work best for me. I assume after a while longer of experimenting with formats, I'll get a more concrete system down.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has helped me avoid overwhlem and disorganization in my largest client projects. I used to use Google spreadsheets for project management, and Asana gives me the same benefits, but with more capabilities. My working speed is much quicker now that I have Asana to automate some of my tasks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try out the free version, and give yourself time to adjust to the format. There are also helpful blog articles with suggestions on how to organize projects, along with examples.

The satisfaction of crossing tasks off my list. Being able to manage team tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish it was easier to disable email notifications.

Miscommunication of task delegation. Asana allows us to be on the same page.

Asana review

What do you like best about the product?
I love the flexibility of asana. You can set up projects in a large variety of ways based on what works for you and your team.
What do you dislike about the product?
it seems like Asana continues to have improvements and feature additions that only make it better - no complaints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I think it is kind of a one-stop shop for project management, etc. It makes it so you don't have to use a ton of different products.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think this the best free (and paid) project tracking software out there.

What do you like best about the product?
Always being in the loop with each team members tasks and the feeling of checking items off a virtual to-do list.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the reminders via email are too frequent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to share tasks across our team and leaders are able to assign items to the correct individual within the organization.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great FREE platform that performs like a paid service.
