My Journey with Asana
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Asana is how it brings clarity and structure to team collaboration. The ability to break down projects into tasks, assign responsibilities, and set deadlines helps everyone stay aligned and accountable.
What do you dislike about the product?
While I really appreciate Asana’s robust features, one thing I find challenging is that it can feel a bit overwhelming for new users. There are so many views, settings, and customization options that it takes time to learn how to use it effectively. I think a more guided onboarding experience or simplified interface for beginners could really help ease that learning curve. That said, once you're familiar with it, the flexibility becomes a major strength.

My Takeaway from "Getting Started with Asana" Live Training
What do you like best about the product?
My experience with the "Getting Started with Asana" live training was positive and informative. The session provided a solid foundation for understanding the core functionalities of the platform and how it can be effectively used for project management.
What I found most helpful was the clear demonstration of how Asana consolidates project communication in one central location. This feature appears to be a significant advantage for team collaboration and keeping everyone on the same page.
The various project views offered by Asana are also a definite plus. It's great that the tool caters to different work styles by allowing users to visualize project information in a way that best suits their preferences, whether it's a list, board, or calendar view.

Asana for Impact Training
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a very helpful tool in terms of organization and ensuring important tasks that build into projects do not fall through or get overlooked. I like its simplicity of tasks layout as well as time scheduling options.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not seamlessly integrated with our organization's calendar and other communication tools that I feel will be more helpful. For instance, I had to manually schedule the training in my calendar, and it still failed to show up. So, I nearly missed the training. I have a personal account with Asana that sends me prompts of tasks status, but I cannot see the same in my work account. It could be something to do with my settings, but I would still prefer that those prompts are set up easily.

I am in the process of trying to sell my management on getting an asana description, and I'm always a bit hung up on the same things.
1. Colored text- This would be huge for helping to emphasize and highlight the body of tasks.
2. Multiple "Messages" tabs in a project - I want a place to track about daily updates, and I want a page for project specific messages.
3. Multiple "List Views" in projects, with the ability to change sections/fields - My tasks for a project may vary in what department handles them and the information I need for them.
4. Portfolios not showing specific tasks within a project - I want to see within the gant veiw of a portfolio exactly which milestones a project still needs to hit.
