A Non-Negotiable Tool for Our Remote Global Team

  • August 06, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Clarity and transparency across teams: Everyone knows what they’re responsible for and when it’s due.

Long-term information retention: Even after years, we can go back and reference old tasks, decisions, or projects.

Customizable workflows: We’ve tailored Asana to suit different teams and departments without needing separate tools.

Remote-friendly collaboration: Asana keeps our globally distributed team aligned, regardless of time zones.

Consistent improvements: New features are thoughtfully introduced without disrupting existing workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited offline functionality: Accessing and updating tasks without internet connectivity is still limited.

Pricing for larger teams: As our team has grown, the pricing has become a bigger consideration—but the value still outweighs the cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana solves one of the biggest challenges of running a remote, globally distributed team: staying organized, aligned, and accountable without constant meetings or micromanagement.

It helps us:

Track work clearly across time zones – Tasks, due dates, assignees, and dependencies are visible to everyone, reducing miscommunication and follow-ups.

Maintain operational consistency – From onboarding new hires to managing client projects and team performance, Asana gives us structured, repeatable processes.

Retain institutional knowledge – Even when team members leave or tools change, the history of our decisions, workflows, and project outcomes stays in Asana, allowing us to learn and build from the past.

Streamline communication – Instead of juggling endless email threads or chats, we communicate directly within tasks, which keeps context intact.

Increase accountability and transparency – Everyone knows who’s doing what by when, which keeps projects moving and prevents things from slipping through the cracks.

Overall, Asana has helped us scale, stay focused, and adapt over the years—even as our team and tools have evolved.

Helps me manage my freelance projects with ease

  • August 06, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I’ve been using Asana for over a year to manage client tasks, deadlines, and small marketing projects. The platform is incredibly intuitive — I love how easy it is to set up boards, assign tasks, and organize everything by project. The timeline and calendar views help me visually track deliverables and deadlines, which is a huge plus.

One thing I really appreciate is the collaboration feature. Even when working remotely, it’s easy to communicate with teammates or clients directly within a task.

What could be better:
Sometimes, the mobile app feels a little limited, especially when trying to reorder tasks or work offline. I’d love to see better offline functionality in future updates.

Use Case:
Freelancer managing 5–7 active client projects at a time. Use Asana daily to track deliverables, send reminders, and stay organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some useful features like advanced reporting and timeline view are limited in the free plan.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solo user managing both personal and freelance tasks.

Good platform for task and project management

  • August 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- I can create many subtasks under a task and put different due dates for those sub-tasks.
- It can also be easily integrated with many other apps such as Zoom, Slack, Microsoft 365, Salesforce; which is a great thing.
What do you dislike about the product?
You can only put 1 assignee in a task. Other assignees, if any, can only be put as task collaborators.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management.

What do you like best about the product?
Asana makes it incredibly easy to manage cross-functional projects and stay aligned as a team. The interface is clean, intuitive, and flexible—whether you're building out a roadmap, tracking tasks, or collaborating across departments. I especially like the timeline view and custom fields, which help turn complex work into structured, trackable workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, there’s nothing I actively dislike about Asana. It does exactly what I need, and any minor quirks haven’t gotten in the way of productivity. It’s a solid tool all around.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps us stay organized, aligned, and on track across multiple projects and teams. It eliminates the need for constant status meetings, reduces missed deadlines, and gives everyone visibility into priorities and progress. As a result, our team moves faster and communicates more clearly.

The answer is Yes. It's worth it

What do you like best about the product?
Relatively easy to adopt. It's helpful even using the most basic functions and building from there. You don't have to be a power user from the start. It's my daily do list done for me. I user far less if any post its anymore. Additionally the amount of live courses and support is abundant also.
What do you dislike about the product?
Change management for those who have never worked with a project management 'system' is challenging. It's about adopting and championing it for those used to managing through spreadsheets. However there are plenty of free courses to assist in understanding it's use.

Would love a 'dual assignee' ability when a Portfolio, Project or Task is co-owned. and Portfolio just called a Folder
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing the amount of tasks across many functions and the variety of due dates that come with all those tasks. Because I'm a fractional consultant I get even more done in the time allotted. It is also creating visibility to the workload and intake that is growing. And it's setting up the company for future operational efficiency now .

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is useful and helpful to keep track of project and deliverables. I appreciate the various views Asana offers to determine which tasks need to be completed and which tasks have been completed. Being able to assign to team members and monitor their progress is also a great benefit.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface takes sometime to learn. Figuring out which template(s) work best for your project and formatting it to your liking takes some time. As well as there seems to be certain limitations when it comes to customizing the ways to view the project or add it to portfolios.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is helping my team solve ways to manage timelines for important campaigns and deliverables across multiple stakeholders.

Asana allows to bring all my workstreams and projects into one tool , which can be shared with all. It's easy to collaborate with multiple owners and assign different owners to tasks. Checking progress is also simple!
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be overwhelming when you are managing multiple projects on Asana and the notifications can be too many at times. Haven't found a way to segment them by priority.

Asana makes project collaboration simpler especially when there are teams scattered across the world. Easy to manage timelines and discuss the progress. Setting goals and checking up on reminders is all simple
