Asana is a great and light task force application for students and more

What do you like best about the product?
clearly I missed out on using something like Asana being super helpful and wished I used asana during my earlier years of post secondary education. Some of my favorite features about Asana is that they created an ease with their workflow and timeline sections when creating a new project. Everything on your screen neatly laid out in terms of discussion tasks, project ideas, and setting your status to when a project starts and ends. Everything is straightforward for the most part and super collaborative. As for frequency of use here, using it a few times have made projects or solid tasks more memorable with people. To-do boards and lists are one of my favorite features in order to ease the implementation of organizing complex or multi-step tasks. Customer support is super easy to access and the integration of working with people and the tools required for success is clearly shown in your performance on the web interface application.
What do you dislike about the product?
The advanced 14 day free trial is offered but really unnecessary, and overall this website would benefit a lot from people using it more than having to pay for it just to use those same amazing features. Otherwise it should be free for students working on big upcoming projects and tasks for the week(s) or semester.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Explicitly organizing big work projects by color, time, date, name, and marked progressing tasks seamlessly and very conveniently. Solves the problem of task delegation made easier for everyone, give a motivational format for groups working together. Each team member gets to set their own deadlines and track their progress along the time, it can be a lot of work in the beginning but it prevents you from forgetting the each delegated task of each member of a final project. if there is a lot to keep on top of you stay accountable to the team and monitor yourself accordingly by avoiding being late due dates for any project deadlines

Found a live Asana webinar worthwhile. Excellent facilitator, presentation clear and informative.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Asana is how it brings clarity and structure to team workflows. It’s intuitive, highly customizable, and makes it easy to track progress, delegate tasks, and stay aligned, especially in fast-moving, remote environments.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Asana is powerful, its flexibility can be overwhelming at first, especially for new users without clear setup guidance. Some features, like advanced reporting or workload views, are locked behind premium tiers, which can limit smaller teams from maximizing its full potential.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps solve the problem of scattered communication and unclear task ownership. By centralizing projects, deadlines, and responsibilities, it keeps everyone in the team aligned and accountable. For me, it reduces follow-up emails, streamlines collaboration, and ensures that nothing falls through the cracks.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It allows me to effectively manage my engineering projects and delegate tasks to my team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a lot of downsides. It would be good if it had chat feature like slack, but other than that it's great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping me manage a large number of projects and keep track of where the jobs are at.

Asana is the best tool for organizing projects and for recruiting

  • June 10, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I still use Asana as a hiring tracker, it keeps my entire recruitment process organized in one place, from applications to interviews and offers. The custom fields, board view, and automations make it easy to move candidates through stages without missing follow-ups
What do you dislike about the product?
iPad and mobile version should have more features
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a recruiter and people ops specialist, Asana helps me stay organized by tracking each role and candidate through every stage. I also use it to create customized onboarding projects for new hires, ensuring a smooth and structured start.

    Non-Profit Organization Management

Make Your Life Better

  • June 10, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like best: aesthetics and intuitive use of it; the ability to easily flip between list and index card / kanban view; the mobile app is really good.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not always transparent or clear what is available in free version vs not. Also don't like having permanent reminder to 'upgrade' even though I have a paid Business version! Upgrading would make absolutely no sense.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is best for helping a team work together and know who is doing what parts of a project, with deadlines. We also use it a bit as an SOP - a person can take a glance at a project and get a sense of whether all the key steps are there, key milestones, etc.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have so many diff accounts for using diff tools to manage projects, now i dont need to have 10 windows open and move around, i can do that in 1 window

What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally some odd interfaces, but usually I can find help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Asana as a project management tool that integrates with our time keeper.

Intuitive and clean

  • June 10, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The interface is intuitive and the solutions actually work. Rather than working around the system to get things done the system really works for us! 10 or of 10.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is some functionality that requires a different way of thinking. Organization can get confusing without a clear handle on how your want to organize before setting up Asana. Nothing that you wouldn't face with other systems, though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping to clarify work with transparency.

The best thing since sliced bread

  • June 10, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ability to organise multiple teams at the same time, all within one platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features aren't yet available - but they're being built as we speak!!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having too many spreadsheets, powerpoints, figma files + many more scattered around the place makes it too difficult to find the right pieces of information (now multiply by that by every team member). It is not only creating a centralised place to store documents and information, but keeps everyone informed on what tasks need to be completed by when.
