Great Project Management tool

  • May 04, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the functionality and I very much look forward to diving in to really get my head around how the Forms and AI features work and how they can improve our efficiencies. It's easy to use, and there is a great knowledge base to refer to if you need to figure out how to do something.
What do you dislike about the product?
The way that dependencies work is a bit frustrating for our business, only because we had thought they would trigger a deadline (eg, if the task in the template is set up as task B is dependent on task A and task B is due +3 days after task A, the deadline date for task B is still based off the project start date and not a timeline that starts once the blocking task is complete).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are currently working to organize our workflows so that we can remove the need to go through emails and texts and whatsapp groups to get all the information you need about a particular project and streamline it so that we have everything, and all communication around a project, within the project in Asana.

A Streamlined Tool for Team Collaboration and Task Management

  • May 03, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a versatile and user-friendly project management tool that streamlines team collaboration and task organization. With features like customizable project views, task prioritization, and real-time communication, it helps teams stay on track and organized. Its AI-powered features take productivity a step further by automating tasks, offering smart recommendations, and allowing you to set tasks using natural language. Asana also integrates seamlessly with other tools like Slack and Google Drive, making it easy to work within your existing ecosystem. Whether you're a small team or a large organization, Asana adapts to your needs, providing clear accountability, detailed reporting, and a flexible approach to project management. Plus, with a robust free plan and scalable paid options, it's an affordable solution for teams at any stage.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Asana offers great functionality, some users may find its complexity overwhelming, especially when first getting started. The free version has limited customization and reporting tools, which might be restrictive for teams that need more flexibility or detailed analytics. As projects and tasks pile up, the interface can become cluttered, making navigation a bit challenging. Additionally, with many tasks assigned to different people, it can sometimes feel like there's an overload of activities to manage. Despite these drawbacks, Asana remains a powerful tool for team collaboration and project management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is the primary task management tool I rely on as a data science intern working across cross-functional and enterprise-wide teams. It solves the problem of fragmented workflows by centralizing task tracking, communication, and reporting. This brings clarity, accountability, and coordination to my projects, helping me stay aligned with multiple stakeholders and deadlines across the organization.

I like the ability to keep projects separated while allowing comments and attachments to be added and organized by tasks. I appreciate the easier organization of tasks and projects that Asana offers. The initial setup was super simple, making it easy to set up and get team members on board.
What do you dislike about the product?
The ability to have a single seat premium license would be nice for small freelancers who don't have a team of workers
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana to keep up with tasks, check in with co-workers, and keep projects on time.

Compared to JIRA, ASANA is more user-friendly, but we may have lacked support and guidance on how to use ASANA effectively for both developer tasks and executive project updates.

Perfect tool for Project Management!

  • May 02, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I think Asana is the best tool for project management. It really is so customizable to your needs. Our team uses it as a calendar on a weekly basis view. It is so easy to attach documents and pictures and create automations. Different templates can be created to fit the project at hand. Easy to integrate email automations. Connect well with google.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish google calendar could be further integrated into the calendar view of the project. Not sure how it could be done with a team of people.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping projects organized and on track.
