Organization for those that struggle
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Asana serves as a centralized hub for my entire team. I honestly get annoyed with being asked what I am working on and this just seems to serve as an easy to display or inform what I am working on. So far, it has been easy to use and integrate into our team dynamics. The live courses they use to teach you how to use the system have been very helpful. I am a visual learner, so I also appreciate them recording the session and sending it to us after the training, this most definitely helps with implementing this system. Overall, I see myself using this daily and having my time refer to it for any updates that I may have.
What do you dislike about the product?
It seems to have a ton of features, which at first can be overwhelming. However, I have chosen to take it one day at a time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps to keep me on track with my projects. I no longer have to inform my team of what I am working on, they can just view it.
Helping me turn the chaos in my brain into organized projects
What do you like best about the product?
Creating templates that I can reuse year over year.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be very intimidating for some time, you have to get used to navigating it!

Asana makes keeping track of tasks easy!
What do you like best about the product?
The UI for Asana is intuitive because they've thought about how to make it easy for people to switch between the list and boards view. I love that i can assign project to people, set due dates, and also track in one place and not digging through my inbox.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have much complaints but some of the advanced features are in the higher tier plans. It would be great to have more without having to upgrade.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I manage a department and my agencies that have different tasks so Asana allows me to keep track of these task, deadline and to assign in one place. It make what seems like a complex task easy to visualize.
Solid Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
The biggest advantage Asana has over other tools is the fact that it's not trying to be an "everything" application. Many project management tools want to house everything from projects and tasks to team chats and all documentation. We simply didn't need those extra features and really only need a tool that let's us manage projects and tasks; we already have tools for other aspects of our work. To that end, Asana works well as a project tool and we're happy that it integrates well with other tools in our stack.
What do you dislike about the product?
While not difficult, there's a lot to learn and setup. It's time consuming. However it's worthwhile investment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a small but growing company tracking thing in Excel spreadsheets was tedious. Asana has helped us break free from spreadsheets and now we have a central hub for all projects and work happening on our small team.
Asana is 10/10 for staying organized
What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to use and communicate with my colleagues.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the tags that showed up in the team board showed up in my tasks so I could see the task status without clicking into it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes it easy to keep projects on track and collaborate with other stakeholders.
Asana is the perfect tool for integrated campaigns
What do you like best about the product?
Our marketing team loves using Asana for integrated campaigns. When there are so many tasks assigned to different people, it can get overwhelming, but Asana makes it easy. We've adopted templates that we duplicate for each campaign so the tasks aren't a long manual process. We also love the capability to share the project or task to multiple boards.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I would say I dislike about the platform is there is a bit of a learning curve. I think it is important to identify someone on your team who will be the champion of the software and then train/enable the rest of the team. It is worth the learning curve!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana organizes all of our projects for task management and also gives visibility to the company as to which projects we are working on and when they will be completed.
Balances flexibility with structure; accommodates different users' preferred ways of working
What do you like best about the product?
I have managed a wide variety of projects across a career that spans more than 3 decades; technology integration, software development, Six Sigma, etc. I have never adopted a project management solution as quickly as Asana. It is soooo good I can use it in multiple settings. And I find it incredibly easy to use well.
Asana offers multiple ways to visualize and manage the same basic data; tasks lists, Kanban cards, Gantt charts, etc.
Asana allows me to simultaneously manage simple projects (for myself or a few contributors) and complex projects (with multiple contributors and sub-tasks or matrixed projects).
It also offers very helpful customizable dashboard with kpi and goal tracking for leaders who want to see a status without diving into the weeds.

What do you dislike about the product?
As with all solutions, garbage in, garbage out. Some people are not motivated to organize information and maintain its accuracy. Asana relies upon a lot of manual data entry and maintenance. It's not an "automation" or "behavioral management" tool. You have to care about what goes in to get the best results. Asana might be more useful to mid-level managers by incorporating more features to manage a team of project managers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used Asana in different roles. I currently use it as an independent consultant, but I have also used it as a corporate director with a globally distributed team. I currently use Asana to grow my business by helping me track my business development / sales pipeline. It is also where I simultaneously manage projects for multiple clients. I can also add different accounts to set-up projects for my clients that they help maintain without adding them to my own organization.
Asana is excellent for our organization's efficiency
What do you like best about the product?
Asana has been a game changer for our team. Tasks are delegated easier, workstreams are more visible, and overall organization has hit a new level. Our team is MUCH more productive now that Asana is completely adopted.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally, I have trouble finding a task or project. Not sure if that's an Asana issue or user-issue, however.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps us maintain organization, moves tasks forward, allows others to see if/when there is a snag, helps us problem solve better. Have also really enjoyed the ability to use AI to give project updates.
