Most User Friendly Project Mgt Software I've Used
What do you like best about the product?
It's very intuitive and user-friendly, no one ever taught me how to use the software, I was able to figure it out just by exploring the features and Googling my questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's no live customer service support so it can take a while to get answers when you have questions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me organize my work and stay on task
Asana is fantastic
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is great for streamlining team collaboration, keeping tasks organized, and ensuring projects stay on track with clear deadlines and priorities.
What do you dislike about the product?
The drawback is that with two separate organizations, only one can be registered, leaving users from the other organisation classified as guests.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Clear priorities and deadlines keep teams focused
Getting used to it!
What do you like best about the product?
It's a great place to keep everything centralized as one source of truth for many people within my organization. Visually, I can quickly see what items are outstanding and when it's due. I'm new to Asana but would like to use this every day for my personal work to-do lists instead of a messy notebook.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have anything negative to say yet, and I don't feel comfortable listing things I dislike at the moment because chances are it's user error! I have a lot to learn, but this seems like it will be very beneficial. I've only recently been onobarded to the platform, but implementation went well. I'm working on integrating DropBox, but it is pending our system admin approval. Hopefully that will streamline the process and cut down on the number of applications I reference on a daily basis.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is taking away my need for a messy notebook and endless spreadsheets and word documents.
Collaboration improves with enhanced task automation and user-friendly dashboards
What is our primary use case?
What is most valuable?
I find the collaboration features to be the most usable. The dashboards provide an overview of tasks, showing how much has been completed and what remains. I can add external users to access their projects, share files, leave comments, and tag people. Asana's automation allows me to automate deadlines and send notifications to the right people about approaching deadlines.
What needs improvement?
The integration with email should be more seamless. When I'm writing an email and want to tag someone in Asana for a task, the process should be smoother. It would be easier if I could assign tasks directly from my email without needing to open Asana.
For how long have I used the solution?
My team and I have been using Asana for more than a couple of years.
What was my experience with deployment of the solution?
The deployment process is straightforward. Once the IT department approves it, it doesn't take much time. It's a matter of installing it and starting to work on it. Training the people might take a couple of weeks, but overall, it's quick.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Asana is quite stable; it is a tool I can trust.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
I would rate the scalability of Asana as eight out of ten.
How are customer service and support?
The technical support is of high quality. Asana provides decent support with blogs and new trends.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Before Asana, I used Google Sheets and occasionally Slack. Asana improved our processes because Google Sheets required manual input with no dashboards, while Asana offered a more convenient solution.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup is quite a simple process, not difficult at all.
What about the implementation team?
The deployment was done in-house.
What was our ROI?
I have seen a return on investment with Asana. However, due to its pricing, I need to be careful about adding each user and feature.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The pricing of Asana is slightly high. To add one user is expensive, which makes me cautious about upgrading or adding more users.
What other advice do I have?
I would recommend Asana to others. Overall, I would rate it eight out of ten.
Great intuitive interface, terrible customer service and pricing model.
What do you like best about the product?
I tested out a handful of competitors but non were as simple and as intuitive as Asana - I love how the subtasks neatly nest inside tasks which makes it easy to organize and find things again down the road. I was able to quickly onboard even the least tech-savvy team members with ease, which is a testament to the well-thought-out interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
They are NOT clear in what constitutes a free contributor. It is only after you are neck deep in projects and your trial runs out that the harrassment begins to "upgrade seats" - EVERY SINGLE PERSON in your organization that is ever tagged in a task will require a paid seat. There are no free contributors except for people outside your organization that might need to see something. Customer service was terrible and probably a bot most of the time and it took 2 weeks of emailing back and forth (phone calls were requested but never granted) to even come to finally understand that there is no way to upgrade SOME of your organization and leave the rest free. Zero flexibility.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps us keep work requests out of our email and keep all the needed assets and approvals easy to access.

Learning a New Way to Organize and Plan
What do you like best about the product?
I like having the tasks all in one place, I like that we can setup templates for events that repeat. I also enjoy being able to share with colleagues working on a project without having to search for emails or files or folders.
Learning the Asana program was relatively painless and the availability of customer service and online answers is very helpful to get up to speed without having to rely solely on your colleagues. Implementing the tools available was clear and user-friendly.
We use Asana on a daily basis between departments, teams, and programs.

What do you dislike about the product?
I think it takes away some of the interaction between colleagues, which is fine as long as we make efforts to engage and network in other ways while we work as a team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
From what I have experienced it allows all of us to know where we are with a project, who is responsible for a task, and when that is completed. This helps us to run more efficiently and within known goals and objectives.

I like the notifications process and outline.
I like the notifications process and outline.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think it is easy to see tasks for a team across multiple projects. I have had to use custom saved searches but the search criterea is pretty limited forcing me to have multiple saved searches to see what I want
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Outline of our work to be completed
Ability to use projects to manage larger, complex bodies of work
Ability to use projects to manage larger, complex bodies of work
Convenient yet powerful Tool for managing Multi-portfolio across multiple functions

Asana is pretty easy to work with, project creation, templates options, collaborations across team-members and across functions, and the best one is multi-homing.

Rolling up of efforts, % Complete or other Quantifiable fields should be more easy to automate.
