Asana allows us to focus on the work, not the project management software

  • May 14, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy for everyone to use. We implemented this tool for a small team and everyone had previous experience with other PM software. After using Asana for a few days, there were no complaints. We use it every day. I've adminstered clunky project management software that basically felt like a full time job in itself. Using Asana is so much better and allows us to focus more on the work itself than wrestling with the project management tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have any negative feedback about Asana.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana prevents us from having to send all updates as emails. And, it organizes and archives projects and collateral without any additional effort.

What do you dislike about the product?
No complaints! They really seem to have thought about everything a collaborative organization needs
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having tasks be the source of collaboration from inception to completion.
Accountability and collaboration.
Customization for roles and work styles.

Asana is a helpful tool

What do you like best about the product?
Asana has recently evolved beyond simple task management into a more intelligent work platform. Its newest AI-driven features, no-code AI workflow builders, help automate processes, and generate insights directly within projects. Asana is great with having workshops and webinars to help with new launches and learning new skills.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana has made major strides in AI and project management, but there are still areas where it could improve. When using AI to build rules, it doesn't always work as intended, which can be frustrating. The free tier is very limited, with advanced features like reporting, automation, and timelines restricted to paid plans. The platform can also feel overwhelming when rules do not work as intended. Reporting tools, while improved, can be less intuitive than dedicated analytics platforms, and managing complex task dependencies may feel clunky for large-scale projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When collaborating on projects, the entire team can see where we are and what steps need to be taken next but also allows for assigning roles and visibility on what tasks need to be assigned

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I need to do lists to get all my tasks done. Asana solves that problem

Excellent software for project management

What do you like best about the product?
Asana has been very helpful for our team in managing projects, collaborating on various tasks, onboarding, and developing consistent process across multiple teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
The hardest part of Asana has been implementation by our team. I think with any new software there is always a learning curve and takes time to get the whole team on board and adjusted to using something different.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Personally, Asana is helping me to prioritize tasks, keep organized and manage time throughout the workday. Combined with a pomodoro timer it has significantly increased my productivity.

Easy to Use Project Management

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I have liked the most about Asana was how easy it was to get on to the platform and understanding the various features. They had a simple onboarding process where I got to learn about all the different apps, integrations, and features. I have also really liked the ability to have multiple product boards, integrations with other platforms, and automation in tasks management.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that I could see some of my subtasks in the board view with the cards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana for my feature release process and I like that I can visually see where each feature is at. I also like it because if I move a task to done, it will begin a new process in another board.

Great for Organizational Collaboration

What do you like best about the product?
Asana has an intuitive design that makes it easy to jot notes down on the go. This is great for notating one's own personal action items during meetings, or for writing tasks for the whole group to share collaboratively. The interface makes it easy to select who the task is assigned to as well as the due date in just a couple of clicks.

The global search feature is easily my favorite. This allows me to pull up any task with just a key word to quickly find what I'm looking for.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the check mark feature is great for checking off tasks, this can pose a problem for collaborative projects. While I may have completed a task for myself, I can't check it off only for myself without everyone on the team seeing it as checked off — even if they haven't completed the same task for themselves. However, this can be remedied by copying to project to one's personal Asana interface and checking it off there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana ensures that all tasks can easily be organized, accounted for, and visualized for all involved parties to see (even just yourself!)

A must have tool for project and task management

What do you like best about the product?
Very friendly user experience and the ability to 'decorate' my own calendar with project status/progress. Colors help motivate me tremendously in work.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's no timer to record how long I have been working.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps me keep track of the task and the overall project based on the calendar feature (which I use everyday). I can see how ahead or behind we are. And upload all the materials needed for that project. It allows me to link to my own Google Drive!

Has been a great tool!!

What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it has been to track my tasks and keep an eye on progress. It helps break down big projects into smaller, more manageable tasks and makes sure all parties know who is assigned to what task with high visibility.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only criticism I can think of, is that projects get a little buggy when multiple people are trying to edit something at once. I'd try to aim for a more stable experience in those moments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps solve problems related to project management and team collaboration by providing a comprehensive suite of tools designed to organize tasks, track progress, and enhance communication among team members. It addresses challenges such as task overload, missed deadlines, and misaligned priorities by offering features like task assignment, deadline tracking, and centralized project visibility. This benefits me by streamlining workflows, ensuring that deadlines are consistently met, and fostering better teamwork efficiency. Additionally, the platform’s ability to provide clear oversight and real-time updates helps in maintaining productivity and reducing the stress associated with managing complex projects, ultimately leading to a more organized and effective working environment.

    Education Management

User friendly, easy to learn and a better project management tool than monday.com

  • May 14, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It was easy to implement. We moved from Asana to Monday.com within a few days, and customer support was helpful.

As a beginner, "Live trainings and Courses" were clear and informative, and provided a good understanding of the core functionalities of the platform
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not had much hands-on experience with Asana yet, but during our migration from Monday.com, it was hard to migrate subtasks from Monday.com.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is a great tool to set goals and monitor progress in real time.

We are benefiting from automating workflows, which is helping us with efficiency by reducing repetitive manual tasks
