Asana, a comprehensive web-based solution for project management

What do you like best about the product?
It is a very easy to use tool as it has a fairly simple interface and suitable to adapt to all types of projects, it encourages teamwork in a formidable way with its commenting functions and the way in which information is shared, it is compatible with different devices and can be used from mobiles, tablets or computers.
What do you dislike about the product?
It misses an option that allows to visualize the projects in a complete way to have a better perspective of them, it is not so easy to integrate Asana with other project management platforms, some functions should be added to be able to invest less time and resources when carrying out the different projects that we manage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Asana we can keep in order all the data of our projects and keep them up to date, facilitates efficient communication between partners who are running projects, we can follow the operational processes that carry out the projects in real time from anywhere where we are on any device. Asana is a comprehensive solution for the development of projects via web that has great features helping the management of tasks, organization of work, division of project phases, creation of calendars and file storage, also providing the ability to add comments and notifications to ongoing projects.

Great work collaboration platform

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is an effective platform to manage team projects. I can assign tasks to my co workers and track work progress.
What do you dislike about the product?
In the beginning, the interface is not much user-friendly for me but after using for a few weeks, i got habit of it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In hybrid or remote work culture, asana makes easy for us to work effectively as a team. It is the best team callobration tool to avoid mess of emails and bring all tasks on one workspace.

What is our primary use case?

In my company, we use Asana for project management tracking.

How has it helped my organization?

Asana helps us in our company to split tasks and assign them to different people. Asana allows each one to individually update the task completed, which can be tracked and visible to all the teams in the company.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature of the solution is its project management tracking systems.

What needs improvement?

There is always a constant need to update the product to be able to give it more features in terms of tasks like adding commands or nodes. The product's page is not user-friendly. In general, the product's page should be more friendly to use. Asana does have all the things the user requires, making it a good product.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Asana for a year. I am a customer of the solution.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It is a stable solution. Stability-wise, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

We had multiple teams working from different countries in the company, with Finland being the place where the main office was located. There were only 30 users of the solution in the company.

How are customer service and support?

The solution's technical support was okay. I rate the technical support a seven out of ten.

The technical support would respond through a chat system and get back to you at a later stage, so instant support wasn't available.

How was the initial setup?

I rate the initial setup a seven, on a scale of one to ten, where ten is the best.

The solution is deployed on the public cloud.


To be frank, I don't know the time taken for the deployment because when I joined the company, Asana was already a subscribed tool. I was not the person who had subscribed and deployed Asana in the company, making me just a user.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I was not involved in the pricing part of the product since it was done by development teams and my manager in the past.

What other advice do I have?

I would like to tell those planning to use the solution that the product is a good fit for medium and big companies. I suggest small companies go for the lighter version of the solution sensitive, more simple. Asana's version, meant for medium and big companies, has more features and functions.

I rate the overall solution an eight out of ten.

Asana is a robust tool for project management

What do you like best about the product?
Project management software with features like as projects, workspaces, tasks, and sections to manage projects and tasks for many clients and teams. Asana is primarily intended for teams to spend less time composing emails, meeting, and working on assigned assignments.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana provides necessary reporting and analytics options, but sophisticated reporting capabilities may be improved. Asana gets daunting for a simple project due to its abundance of features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Respond to emails, delegate new duties, divide responsibilities, and search for your coworkers' mail? All of these duties might consume the majority of your time, preventing you from focusing on what is truly essential. Asana eliminates the need for such mundane duties and frees up workspace for you to work.

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is great for managing tasks, time, and projects. I use it often for monthly tasks to ensure all items are completed before the deadline.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a bit difficult to use due to all its features and for someone who is not tech-savvy, but once you understand how it works, it's fantastic!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Asana for our Marketing Calendar and as a Deadline Calendar, it helps us keep campaigns and posts organized and stay on track to meet our goals. We are now more productive than before and have more time to focus on other items since we're all on the same page.

What do you like best about the product?
Flexibiility to create tasks, and tasks within tasks. This allows us to holistically keep track of our projects

User interface can be better. Its sometimes hard to find the features you are looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping track of our project tasks and setting achievable deadlines.

What do you like best about the product?
Support is amazing, the functionality is now at a stage that we dont need other apps. We can do it all in asana. We have been using a number of others but the functionality in the business suite is more than enough to enable us to keep out team accountable and reduce wasted time in WIP meetings.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much, the only thing is with all great products it will take you some time to put the effort in to get out the best from this. But in life you get out what you put in at least it's easy to navigate and get our head around.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest thing for me is being able to have forsight on when a project deadline won't be met or if a number of tasks are NOT done which may start a fire. Having visability on not only my team but the whole organisation is a godsend. Know what is being done is great, but when there are so many projects and possible deadlines being missed the person who is ultimatley responsible is me. So having this visability allows me to be a person of my word. Asana will continue to assist me in being able to be a person of my word to my board, and more importantly honest with myself.

Great tool for tracking projects/due dates

What do you like best about the product?
I don't really explore the new things. I just like that it does what I need. I really like the "My Tasks" section. Gives me a quick glance at things that may be overdue and things that are coming up. I like the inbox too where I can find the latest comments about certain projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nope. It's works great for me and I wouldn't change a thing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeps my work organized and keeps me hitting my deadlines. It's a great communication tool as well.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease to use. It has a very user friendly interface which you can master from day one.

There could be integrations available for multiple third party apps to ease the user from switching tabs

Useful project management program

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Asana can be used among different people and organizations. I like that I can create different projects with tasks, subtasks, and notes.
I also like that I can create a recurring task with subtasks. I recently created a recurrin task called Marketing and added different subtasks of social media tasks and emails that I need to be doing weekly.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a bit cluttered looking, I wish there was a way to visualiy improve it but I don't know what that would be. Things don't show up "To Do" if they aren't assigned to yourself or someone else. The MANY emails I get for someone completeing a task etc is a bit cumbersome too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping my tasks organized in a way that could be lost if I was doing it on paper.
Providing a space to collaborate on tasks with others in an effecient way- they can add tasks for me, links, I can ask questions in the notes, etc. I've used it with a vitual assistant agency as well to delegate to them in a streamlined way.
