How Asana has streamlined our productivity and why i recommend it to other users…!!
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Asana has helped us to track the pieces of projects that are done, what still need to be done, and who is responsible for each item.
It is the best when it comes to analyzing projects details interactively.
Also it's notification system is top notch.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is efficient and simple task tracking tool..nothing to highlight as a dislike towards it..!!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has allowed us to document entire projects at one place.
Has helped us to manage tasks across departments.
The best PM tool I have used
What do you like best about the product?
It makes very easy to stay organized and easily delegate specific tasks to certain people. Duh tasks are my favorite feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
The recurring task capability could definitrly be improved. It gets a little funky with sub tasks and dates
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana ensures that everyone in my organization is aware of their responsibilities and can easily tap in other people when they are needed. It creates an automatic to do list.
With a flexible pricing policy, the product allows for sprint planning, allocating tasks, and monitoring bugs
What is our primary use case?
For our company, we use Asana for project management. Since my company caters to a lot of enterprise clients, ticket management services are based on the preferred choice of our clients.
I lead a team of software developers in my company, so we use Asana for sprint planning, allocating tasks, monitoring bugs, and a few more tasks.
What is most valuable?
Asana launched a dashboard a year ago. What I like the most about Asana is its API integrations because we use a lot of cluttered toolsets in our company since we need to cater to different clients, for which its integration gives us a lot of flexibility. We use Notion for the documentation, whereas we use Asana for the task, and we have written many automation scripts for our benefit.
What needs improvement?
The mobile application of Asana has to be improved a lot because no one wants to do a complete project management task on mobile. While on my mobile phone, I would like to get an update quickly or a short task notification so that I don't forget anything, for which the mobile interface is very clumsy.
I don't have anything related to the additional features required in the solution on top of my mind because my company hasn't even used 50 percent of the tool's feature set. We have customized the tool based on our processes. We are using whatever we need in the tool, so I don't have any suggestions for adding features to Asana.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Asana for two and a half years. I am just a user of the solution.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Stability-wise, I rate the solution a nine out of ten since I haven't faced any challenges regarding the product's stability.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a nine out of ten since I haven't faced any challenges regarding the product's scalability, and our company hasn't explored its scalability involving a billion tasks.
I have a 45-member team working under me using Asana.
How are customer service and support?
The solution's technical support is not very prompt or strong, which may be because they have to reach out to a lot of users. Though we only got the opportunity to interact with the product's technical support team once or twice, our experience was not good. We weren't happy with the technical support team because of the response time they took to provide us with a solution to our issue, and we had only reached out to the support team since we had no clue on how to resolve the issue in the product. We were expecting experts from Asana's technical support team to resolve the issue within an hour, but it took them 48 hours to resolve it.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
ClickUp and Jira are part of the project management tools we use in our company.
How was the initial setup?
The ease or complexity of Asana's initial setup process depends on the use cases for which the product is chosen. The initial set of phases can be a no-brainer for a simple project creation or for some setup using an existing project template. In our company, we use Asana for Complex use cases, like getting it integrated into a dashboard from Notion or a ticketing system from Jira, for which we need a bit of technical intervention.
The solution is deployed on the cloud.
What about the implementation team?
The internal team in my company, who reports to me, managed the initial setup phase of the product.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I can describe Asana's pricing as a sweet spot since it is neither very high nor very low, especially regarding the value Asana adds to its products. I like the flexibility provided in Asana's pricing policies. In our company, we use 50 percent of the features provided by Asana, because of which we only pay 50 percent of Asana's total cost.
What other advice do I have?
I recommend the product to its other potential users.
I rate the overall product a nine out of ten.
Decent experience but dashboard can be improved
What do you like best about the product?
Projects can be managed well
Easy to collaborate with other team members
What do you dislike about the product?
Bulky dashboard, it can be cleaned and made more lean
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping track of different projects
Asana is awesome
What do you like best about the product?
I like the consistency of Asana - the AI is getting better all the time (so are other tools to be fair). There are also more native integrations with other software so clearly developers also see the value of Asana
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing - Vendors keep charging per user and they don't look at models where small companies need to get all the different features that are on offer, but can't afford to pay for every member of their team to access. So there should be foptions where you can have one fully paid membership or ultra membership or pro membership, whatever the software vendor's terminology is, but that free members can still access and use accordingly. Not need to have to upgrade to the same tier. Unfortunately this is the problem with all software
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have multiple action items within multiple projects all inside a bigger workflow so I use Asana to manage these for me and set tasks and sub-tasks along with all my notes and reminders
Mastering task management with Asana
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Asana is how it streamlines task management. Assigning tasks to team members, tracking due dates, and staying updated on progress – all becomes effortless. Another game changer is Asana's integration capabilites with other tools we use daily, such as Toggl Track and Google Calendar, I can sync all my time-related apps there and analyse data.
What do you dislike about the product?
The challenge with Asana can be its learning curve, it takes some time for new users to master. Also, I find that the mobile app is not quite as user-friendly as desktop version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana's been a great help in cordinating our district's operations and projects. I don't need to send remider emails and in-person meetings, leading to better workday optimization. By providing a clear oversight of tasks, Asana has ensured that nothing falls through the cracks and significantly reduced project overruns.
This was my first introduction to a Project Management tool!
What do you like best about the product?
This tool was quite easy to use and they offer good customer service.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since our team is still a startup we couldn't get any training from their team, which was a bit unfortuante as even though they have help articles, having someone help set us up would have been ideal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This has allowed my team to track tasks and moving away from paper!
Make group projects easy with Asana
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Asana helps organise projects and make them easier to manage. Its to-do list feature allows you to create quick reminders for those involved in the project, while also allowing regularly assigned tasks to stay grouped in one place, making it easier for users or organisations to provide feedback on results. It's easy to create sub-groups so that everyone's needs are taken into account when taking on different roles within a team. The user interface looks great and makes navigation very fluid; there are also plenty of sections, adding an extra layer of customisation options.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the fact that Asana only allows one primary assignee per task. This makes it difficult to allocate responsibility and track progress across multiple users in a team. To get around this limitation, when working with large teams, subtasks or task collaborators can be used, or duplicate tasks can be created to share certain activities with other members of the group.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps me save time and stay organised by streamlining our processes, tracking data, and facilitating communication. Staying on top of my growing responsibilities is now much easier thanks to Asana's easy-to-use platform.
