I would recommend Asana to a colleague!

  • October 26, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is best for cross-functional collaboration and project management. I like it particularly when working with large teams within my organization, especially when deadlines are a concern. Absolutely would recommend asana to a colleague, which is why I titled my review that.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the complex options Asana provides for organizing projects. I find it confusing. I'm not sure how to make use of features like Portfolios and goals, in particular. There are other things that I dislike about Asana but in transparency I can't think of any at this time
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps me stay on top of my tasks within larger initiatives and helps me wrangle collaborators for my initiatives. It's great when extra visibility is necessary for complex projects. Problems that result from a large and quickly scaling organization are really those problems that Asana is solving for us.

What do you dislike about the product?
We are not a fan of the updated pricing tiers and limited abilities of the goals section.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It keeps us on track and prevents things from slipping through the cracks.

Kanban boards are great to track work in progress
What do you dislike about the product?
Subtasks can get very chaotic - they're a rabbit hold and I've asked our team to avoid them entirely
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Task management and visibility of work

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a nice platform visually speaking, full of features, and it fits good in the project management apps sector.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I found negative about this app, was the fact that despite the pretty user interface, it is not straightforward to work with, decreasing the usability speed and the convenience of software called to help you be more productive and organized.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana was supposed to be a tool our team might employ to be more productive, keep the workflow organized and manage the track of activities.

What do you like best about the product?
Super intuitive, customisable and easy to collaborate with my team. There are lots of bite size video tutorials.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cross-collaboration between projects is not straightforward. It's a tool you have to use daily to get the most out of it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team project management, workflow management working with my team, delegating tasks, understanding workload and visibility of projects in the business.

Not developer friendly - good for small tasks

  • October 25, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is an excellent utility for keeping tasks all in a single place. It is helpful to help workflow when small tasks start to pile up, and people can reference it and mark things when completed to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Where to begin? If there are too many items in a project, there is an overflow error that gives no feedback to the user on how to fix it. All functionality breaks when this occurs. The restful API endpoints are the only way to delete tasks automatically, which you would need to code yourself after setting a trigger on a webhook (good luck to regular business owners). Such a simple functionality is not even available for their business plan. Such a simple fix to so many issues, but instead of adding these simple features, they take the "we will look at this issue if it gets enough attention" approach. At a certain point, it is not worth fixing someone else's poor software design and philosophy but instead finding a better product or making one yourself (seriously).
The service is continually experiencing server-side latency and authentication issues. It is not for large-scale businesses with hundreds or thousands of tasks for their employees as it is unreliable to perform simple tasks at a large scale.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps with our underwriting pipeline and other work which needs human attention, and it keeps all of our to-do items in a consolidated place.

Pretty good Project Management system - Just too many options

  • October 25, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
There are too many features that I absolutely love but again, sometimes too many is just overwhelming
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact the President of the company refuses to look at my projects because again, there are too many options - Yet, not all bad!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping me organized, not letting anything slip through the cracks! Got rid of my post it notes!

A great project management software

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is user-friendly, and they keep improving the functionalities of the software.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found it hard to assess my agency capacity and I would love to be able to track time without using another software like everhour.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps manage projects and communicate with customers and freelancers involved in a project.

Asana is an excellent interface with outstanding usability!

  • October 22, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a simple but effective tool that helps you keep track of your projects and tasks. The interface is straightforward to use, making it ideal for those who want to start project management without having to invest a lot of time in learning how the software works. Additionally, Asana's remote API access allows you to export data to other tools like Google Sheets for further analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are several things I don't like about Asana. Firstly, it's not very good for tracking opportunities in sales. Secondly, the interface is quite confusing and challenging to use. Finally, there's no way to export data from Asana into other formats, such as Excel or CSV
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem with Asana is that it does not have automatic email notifications for the remaining work. This means that the project manager has to constantly check in with the team to see what needs to be done, which can be time-consuming and frustrating.
