Useful, but grew out of it
What do you like best about the product?
the kanban boards were the most useful tool for us. nice organizational tools, decent team size and sharing abilities. Good price for sure. good inexpensive option when first starting out.
What do you dislike about the product?
We had trouble with integrations and general UI/UX difficulties to feel comfortable in the program. the desktop app didn't work very well. mobile we avoided entirely.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We switched away from it since our team was growing. It was useful starting out, but I feel like we grew out of it fairly quickly. I guess it helped us grow in that respect, but we switched away once we got big enough to need a more powerful management system.
No single seater plan with false advertising
What do you like best about the product?
Custom Fields, ability to add tasks to My Tasks along with tasks fro other projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
No single seater plan! People are asking for it since 2017, such a simple thing to add, yet they refuse, and don't tell you anywhere until you're ready to pay.

Is not that user friendly
What do you like best about the product?
Perhaps the popularity, and that everyone knows Asana
What do you dislike about the product?
It's confusing and a lot of elements aren't that easy to find or track
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working from home with my colleagues, helps communication but not that much
The tool is perfect to simplify collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is an excellent tool for simplifying collaboration with the rest of your team. You can prioritize and delegate tasks based on each team member's skills, and Asana also includes powerful reporting and scheduling features. The ability to see your project's overviews using different graphs is beneficial. It allows you to stay up-to-date on progress and make informed decisions about where to allocate resources. Additionally, Asana's collaboration features enable team members to communicate more effectively with each other - which is crucial for any successful project outcome.
What do you dislike about the product?
Mobile app needs work - The mobile app for Asana is functional but not as robust as the desktop version. Asana can make it challenging to stay on top of your tasks when you're away from your computer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration. Transparency regarding the project and team development. When we look back, we can get a bird's-eye view of how much time we have spent on various projects.
I can define my work as before asana and after asana
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use and the source of truth for a wide variety of action
What do you dislike about the product?
After exploring the tool for a while, it starts showing some limitations, mainly on the automation
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Make sure everybody is on the same page regarding any project, any team is working on
Great for personal use - if you don't mind the upkeep
What do you like best about the product?
It is nice to have a place online that will keep track of all the tasks that I create. I also like the amount of detail I can include on each task, including dates and times.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest downside is having to create the task and input all the information. With the amount of work I have, it feels bad to have to carve out time to create all the content within Asana.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana does help to keep all of my tasks right in front of me. It is great because I won't forget to do a task if I have created it and assigned the proper details.
Amazing tool with the flexibility to help staff at various level of need.
What do you like best about the product?
I am a fan of the board view in particular - but I generally set projects up in the list view to start with. The ability to add ad hoc columns/fields is powerful because each project can have its own key markers - not every project fits into the standard metrics of stage and priority. Users can jump right into because the Project/Task dynamic is easy to understand, then as they build knowledge, they can move to subtasks, dependencies, and ultimately to rollup views in Portfolios and Reporting. There is an ability to be functional with the product from day one - while allowing super users to really make use of tools that move project management to the next level. Workflows are a wonderful tool for getting staff to think about how a project flows from start to finish - we find it very useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is less about Asana than it is about how one integrates it into the company...each individual and team can adopt it and use it successfully, but for the kind of advantage one could truly get out of Asana - you need company-wide understanding of top-down goals, and so starting with the Reporting and Portfolios may be a better approach. Otherwise - adoption can look good, but not be as impactful. An actual feature that is sometimes harder to make work in some scenarios is the Due Date. My work is more "ASAP" oriented with due dates being somewhat irrelevant...or too far out and "soft" to matter. So Start Date is key because then I see what has been sitting too long. Asana does not quite have time options that work perfectly for that. I also like to put completion dates in...but I don't want to clutter my calendar view with a long bar across a month or two. So I use dates less than I'd like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Duplication of effort, missed communications when several teams are working independently on overlapping areas of a project, accountability and ownership. All of these areas are seeing considerable improvement as more staff adopt Asana into their workflows.

What do you dislike about the product?
There's a whole feature wishlist from the users, some of the points are waiting for a few years to be done, like. f.ex. handling code snippets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana to run dev sprints with one team and kanban boards with others. Thanks to the multi-homeing fetaure it's easy to communicate on the tasks with all the teams involved.
Portfolios, Goals and Reports dashboard allow me to create easy to look at reports which are very helpful to the stakeowners.

It's helping me align everyday jobs to my bigger team and help me track it simply without reaching out to them and also lets me know the status of the project
