Easy to use, but limited in function
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is very easy and intuitive to use. When you work with computers on a regular basis, you shouldn't have any problems getting started with Asana. It is mostly self explanatory and has a good help/FAQ section.
What do you dislike about the product?
In the end we ran into walls with Asana that we couldn't cross, so we needed to switch to another software. Asana does provide an export function, but has made it as complicated as humanly possible to get the data out. That was a bitter ending, to a pretty good UX.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Work on projects and tasks as a team. But as I stated before, we had to switch to a more powerful alternative.
A great way to work as a team and keep your work organized
What do you like best about the product?
The functionality that I found most interesting is the possibility of working in a team by dividing the tasks and being able to communicate through the practical system of comments with the various colleagues.
What do you dislike about the product?
In the constant use of the last few years I have not found anything that I did not like, I am very happy with this service in free version
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to minimize the time for scheduling the processing of my various projects, both in team and alone. I can manage various tasks with simplicity and order and to be more organized in my work
Asana solves most of my task management problems!
What do you like best about the product?
I love the connectivity. We can use forms in our website, we can invite guests to specific projects and keep them in the loop on how their project is coming along. I just love the versatility of it. I honestly have 2 accounts. One for work and one for managing my home and my other side hustles.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some limitations with a lot of aspects of Asana, but honestly another thing I love is the Asana teams is constantly coming up with new ways to improve!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Overall it just keeps all of my stuff in one place. I have a trillion things going on and I don't know how I managed before Asana. I don't know what the company did before Asana.
Asana is a great tool for many teams, but my team doesn't fit their ideal use case
What do you like best about the product?
Asana allows our distributed team to communicate in a seamless manner and pass work off from one individual to another. It's easy to see how much progress was made on a given task or who is currently working on it. We've also created projects for a variety of workflows and customized them as best we could to suit our needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
It seems like Asana's focuse lately from a PR/account management standpoint has been around Goals and rolling everything up into Goals. It also feels like they've stopped launching any new features that don't support goals in some way.
Even when new features are announced that would benefit our team (I'm an Asana ambassador so I get these notifications regularly), it can take months for a full rollout to all Asana accounts so that teams can start using them. And certain features that sound like they could be really useful (i.e. triggered subtasks) are lacking functionality that would allow us to incorporate them into our workflows (i.e. can't create dependencies with triggered subtasks).

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have team members who work all around the country and across time zones. Asana allows us to hand work off to team members regardless of location.
Excellent Project Management Software
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to get started in Asana. The program is very easy to use and understand without extensive instructions or teachings.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't love the Asana mobile app. I mostly work from the desktop app though, so it's not a big deal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps me stay on track with cross-departmental projects. It also helps me stay on top of my personal to-do list.
A Project Manager's Dream
What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can create subtasks and organize every detail of a project or task. It helps me plan and map out processes and steps for my projects. I also love that I can multihome
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish it would sync with calendar to block out holidays or heavy meetings days so that tasks couldn't be assigned on those days. This would save time updating deadlines.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana solves the problem of cross team collaboration on large, long term, complex projects. It also prevents me from forgetting details because I can create a task and use it as a reminder to follow up in 2 weeks. My follow through has increased exponentially since using Asana!

Asana Is My Hero
What do you like best about the product?
Asana has become one of the most invaluable tools in my career. I have worked at Tesla, NerdWallet, and Amazon, all of which use Asana to great effect. It helps us easily track and view data, organize everything into a single-source-of-truth and automate mundane PM activities.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside of Asana is that it tries to please everyone by enforcing new features that may have been brought up in forums, but never offering solutions for those who may want to not use that feature. Being able to customize the software to your specific needs would be wonderful, but it seems like some of the core settings are not customizable (like having the option to have Subtasks inhert the info of the parent task). I also wish the feedback feature didn't FORCE a Subtask to be written.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana, at its heart, is a time-saver. It automates mundane tasks, allows batch editing, and templatizes repeat projects. That's just a small fraction of its capabilities, but for my production graphic design team, we use it to track our endless work streams so that we're better prepared to handle fires and provide data for stakeholders.
Asana is one of the best platforms I've used
What do you like best about the product?
The possibility to collaborate with my co-workers on projects and the amount of updates Asana makes regularly. Every month an incredible feature drop is created!
What do you dislike about the product?
It seems limited for agile projects. Also, the workflow and parameter possibilities appear to be endless, but when you get into them, they are very limited. Please don't make me pay other people for the work you should be providing!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management typical problems. My organization has a lot of projects, and keeping our team centralized in only one platform makes the correlation between them really easy.
Asana assists with projects and daily work by facilitating transparency and communication
What do you like best about the product?
The ease with which teams can collaborate and provide information.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some collaborators can be resistant to using the software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to track where tasks are in our processes and where the bottlenecks occur. This has allowed us to streamline our workflow and improve handoffs between teams.
