Simple, flexible and very useful
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is very well designed, very intuitive and even when we get new people to use this in the team they pick it up pretty quickly. Its flexible and we use it on both sides (Sales Process tracking and Sprints)
What do you dislike about the product?
Custom information capture at each stage could have made this even more powerful. Also, more reporting and dashboard features would be nice to have. Overall fairly satisfied with how it it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaborating on our Sales leads as we have a very unique process and Asana's flexibility helps us set it up and have multiple users collaborate on a lead. On Project Management side as well this is turning out to be very useful
Asana has made it so much easier for me to manage my own time.
What do you like best about the product?
I love how flexible Asana is. I can create my own columns to track varying elements of my tasks. This makes it super easy to manage the time I estimate each task will take too. It's also easy to change the format for each project based on what that project is. Is it an internal learning tool the team needs to implement? Is it an event? Is it a general marketing campaign? These also look so different from each other, and Asana allows us to create based on that specific project.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's hard to get everyone onboard in Asana. There are so many pieces to learn, and nuances for our specific team, and can be time-consuming to get in and learn. So really the fact that Asana is so robust is the biggest challenge we face when getting members of our team to use the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're working on getting people to plan further ahead with their small day-to-day tasks, but we're also using Asana to think through bigger projects that are coming down the pipe too. So ultimately Asana is our planning tool to manage our teams' work and workload.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would strongly recommend Asana because it's so customizable and yet easy to use at the same time.
Love Asana!
What do you like best about the product?
I truly appreciative the collaborative nature of Asana, allowing me to use it for both my professional and personal life.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was more of a gantt chart-like view.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving core collaboration needs across a cross-functional team. A lot of streamlined operations and the ability to duplicate plans for similar tasks/programs.
Ultimate Workplace Management Dashboard for Businesses
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is the only tool in this space that is loved the most. Asana helps our organization work cumulatively on a project seamlessly. We can create, assign, and manage tasks with the greatest of ease. It helps us break down a huge project into small tasks and assigns those to multiple team members where they can work and update progress in the description box embedded within the task menu. It reminds about the tasks which are due by some date in order to help us priortize our work. It allows us a lot of conveniences to work with no trouble while working remotely.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana is a great tool yet some drawbacks are there. If a task is to be assigned to multiple people, it won't allow you to do that. Apart from that, if you are working on a task from a long list of tasks and you have to go to the next task you have to go back to the previous master task to jump to the next one. It doesn't provide you the convenience to jump to the next task from the previous one. That consumes a lot of time when we are working under pressure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using it to keep a record of the tasks I have performed in a day. Additionally, I'm using it to track the progress of the tasks assigned to my team. I'm using it to gather data from multiple people working within the organizaion in several departments. At last, it reminds me of the due tasks and helps me prioritize my work.
Asana is transforming the way we work
What do you like best about the product?
Asana makes it so easy to collaborate and provide visibility to those who need it. It also provides instant stats on workload and schedules, which makes resource management so simple!
What do you dislike about the product?
There are two things that I would change about Asana and that is allowing 'people' and 'date' custom field types. Asana doesn't allow this by design and I understand their reasoning but for more complex workflows that provide close collaboration between people and teams, it would make it much more simple. Also, in a marketing environment, we need to track dates other than just due date, such as review dates, premiere dates, flight start and end dates. We can capture additional dates in text fields, but we can't control date formats and there is no easy method for tracking or seeing them on a timeline.

We finally have insights into the work we do, volume, timelines, client insights, etc. That is going to be invaluable in strategic decisions about staffing and budgets. It is also providing insight to people with super ease and clarity. Another thing that I LOVE about Asana is that you don't have to wait to build a perfected workflow to start using it. We stood up a fairly simple workflow and Asana is so easy to optimize as you use it. Phased improvements being introduced to a team that already has familiarity with the tool will lead to more successful adoption with less disruption.
Asana was a want, became a need, and now it’s essential to my small business
What do you like best about the product?
Keeping all my projects in one place, so I can combine contracts on my To Do List.
Effortless sharing with contractors, freelancers and stakeholders.
Intuitive and easy to use; initial setup took maybe an hour.
For non power users, the cost can't be beat (aka free).

What do you dislike about the product?
I only have one feature I wish Asana would implement: being able to easily transfer projects to other people or companies. As a entrepreneur and contractor, sometimes my clients want to take over after my part finishes... but there's no easy way to do this. There is functionality within a different company's offerings (which I discovered in the always helpful Asana forums), but Asana doesn't support it and has no plans to at this time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping me focused on the tasks most important to me, scaling my business, and attached to outcomes.
Increased Writer productivity with one contract by 75% after implementing Asana.
All of my tasks in one place, even if I have multiple jobs and contacts on the go.
Quick and easy project creation; simple to onboard new teammates.

One stop shop with room for navigation optimization
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Asana is our virtual "workplace" - where we house all of our projects, links, timelines, etc.
I like the emoticons/reactions
I like the emoticons/reactions
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like the navigation of certain things. Some examples:
when someone assigns me a sub-task ("design deck"), it's not always easy to see the original task/project - especially in an email notification... so it takes time to dig and find it.
it would be great if there was a way to make the parent task more apparent/visible at first glance
the inbox feature needs work/optimization
It's really hard to read and there needs to be better/more sorting options - sort by sent, sort by received (strictly messages - filtered separately from tasks/@mentions), view all messages from a specific person, view all messages sent to a specific person, etc.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it's nice to have almost everything in one program - we have stopped sending emails internally and try to only use asana messages or tasks
It’s a great tool to organize, delegate and track tasks/projects
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that you can collaborate so well with others on projects. Saves multiple emails back and forth
What do you dislike about the product?
It should have an app for the MacBook...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping me stay on top of tasks without having to wade through emails. It's enhancing organizational culture too
great task management tool
What do you like best about the product?
i love being able to check the progress of assignments without bothering my team, sometimes the stop and start can be really detrimental to a project. I have used a few other tools like this and the collaboration is far superior.
What do you dislike about the product?
nothing comes to mind, it's a great tool, haven't heard my team complain at all either.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
keeping everyone on track during long projects to meet deadlines was always a challenge, things get buried and forgotten about until it's due, this allows everyone to see what's due and can be reminded of what needs to be done and who's responsibility different pieces of a project belong to.
Very good tool to manage the tasks and timelines of the entire team
What do you like best about the product?
Asana provides excellent visibility of the entire team in the organisation. The ability to set deadlines on each task and see how the goal is being progressed is just incredible.
What do you dislike about the product?
The integrations and reporting could be improved for sure. There should be some level of templates to manage OKRs using Asana. Most of the projects are defined from OKRs only.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are mainly looking to track the tasks of all the team members across multiple departments. Asana helps a lot in structuring the company-wide goals into sub-tasks and assigning & follow them to individual team members.
