Easy to use for project management
What do you like best about the product?
I like how collaborative and easy to use Asana is. I work as a freelance grant writer and it's nice to have all my projects and deadlines in one place and the ability to share documents and updates with supervisors.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I wish there was a chat feature for real time conversations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a freelancer, I work on multiple projects for multiple organizations so Asana helps me to stay organized and complete requests on time. I am able to stay on top of my work and keep others involved notified of where I am in the process.
Great project management tool
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is one of the best project management tools I have ever used. It is really easy to assign and keep track of a project using asana. It makes it easier to keep track of a project with a lengthy timeline. I really liked the feature to have tasks with different colors which can be used to determine the type of the task. I used a web app and mobile application, both designed magnificently to streamline the flow of a project.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was an option to change the layout of tasks as one may like to view tasks in different formats. The description of a task can't be viewed without clicking load more for each task which is quite cumbersome. Other than those I am pretty content with Asana.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps to keep track of your team's performance and make plans for future sprints.
Useful features, but fairly steep learning curve
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the layout of the platform. It's helpful to see all of your projects on the homepage. I also really like the "board" page so that you can see the status of all of your projects in one spot.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because there are so many features, Asana has a steep learning curve. It takes a bit of time and practice to really figure out all of the features. This can be tough, especially when coworkers or others on your project haven't quite figured out the platform yet. Asana would work super well if everyone on the team buys in and dedicates the time to learning how to use it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Obviously, the main problem that Asana is designed to address is project management. With Asana, it's easy. to see the status of a project and what tasks everyone on the team is responsible for and working on.

I like the simple layout and easy to use structure. It helps keep our teams on tasks and ensure communication

At times of teams are using it differently, it can be a little confusing on how to collaborate.

The free version is a good place to start but limited.

I really like how easy it is to create and assign tasks as well as being able to mark them done or partially done, etc.

I hate that we had to stop using it at our firm because it's not HIPAA compliant

I really just like the ease of use compared to other project management software

It takes a while to get used to! Once you get the hang of it, it's smooth sailing.

Organization and follw-through! Individual stakeholders are held accountable.

DIfferent ways to classify projects that can connect to other projects streams.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since you can organize projects by separate streams the dashboard can get cumbersome and things can get lost.

Multiple cross-referencing project management streams.

It's an amazing and easy-going tool for everyone to manage projects, timelines, updates, and even chats.

I'd been happy using this tool. Can't say anything missing on this product so far

We'd managed different projects using the tool, and after we finished, we all kept using it for comunication. Its keeps everyone focuses on their tasks and timeline.
