Useful for tracking projects & team collaboration

  • September 28, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use in task list type items. Ease of template setup and use for reoccuring projects with similar setup but varying team member engagement. Easy to setup template for full scope of project then remove any task items which are not necessary for a specific project. Easy to tie into Zapier tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
A little cumbersome to tie into various solutions, i.e., SmartSheet, DocuSign, Teams. This will be extremely variable based on the amount of support/buy in to the tool and integration with other solutions. Especially when allowing access to users external from your organization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana to track project status, task list items for each project and store notes for individual tasks. Due dates are easily assigned by dependancies within a template or in a free standing project.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking to integrate with Teams or other applications, ensure your technical support team can allow access to ensure you can take advantage of add-ins or integrations. There are many great integrations. Another suggestion would be to consider whether or not your project(s) will require input from users outside of your organization and making sure you have an understanding of how that will work. Understanding the security/views/permissisions is key, but extremely doable.

Effective solution to collaborate, work together and manage it all

  • September 25, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana impresses from the very beginning. Compared with Jira, it shows itself more user-friendly and less complicated, when the goal remains the same: to manage collaborative work in flexible methodologies. Workspace organization and its opportunities to switch between List, Board, Timeline and so on allows you to keep the hand of the pulse of all the working process and makes team processes handy and easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Compared to Jira again, in my humble opinion, Asana needs its own "Confluence", a cross-linkable workspace to keep documentation and other valuable and essential data with opportunities to track someone, to link with tasks pages, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anyone in the team contributes their best into work on a product

What do you like best about the product?
One of my favorite things about Asana is how easy it is to join and collaborate with other companies, agencies, and teams. It's so intuitive and functional, it's hard to imagine working without it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana has so much under the hood that it can be overwhelming at times. However, that can be said about most premium project management platforms. The mobile app is not my favorite either. The desktop / browser experience is great.

A decent task tracking tool

  • September 23, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's fast and easy to create and assign tasks, the board looks nice. I think it's great for some teams but definitely not for everyone.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it lacks some functionality that is crucial for project management. For example, it's impossible to create raws, I would use them to track specific campaigns and columns to use the progress. Also, I really miss checklists in the tasks and the ability to add the dependencies (depends on, next step, etc.). It only has is blocked by now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I manage my tasks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's definitely an easy and simple solution for some teams. But if you need a project management tool, I would probably consider using Jira.
