Asana helps keep me organized
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to start and keep everything orderly. There are areas to track nearly every aspect of every project my team and I need to complete. It helps us stay on track and not forget little details.
What do you dislike about the product?
Right now, I haven't found anything that I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I like that I can keep track of all of my projects and teams all in one platform. Before we started Asana, we were dropping the ball on little things (and sometimes big things too!) But now, all of the steps are laid out in a super easy manner, and we are so grateful!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would 100% recommend Asana to everyone! Even if you don't use it for business purposes, you can use it to organize your life. Seriously don't know how I lived before Asana
Efficient project management tool for staying on track!
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to create, outline, schedule, and assign multiple projects and tasks at scale no matter how small or large. Communication within Asana makes for a seamless experience from beginning to end.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana is a great tool. I dislike that you cannot assign a project to multiple people at the same time. Unless I am unaware of this function, but that would be very helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are creating and managing tasks internally with our existing team as well as externally with our freelancer developers. Work is easily tracked throughout Asana for both applications.
How asana helped me to manage my work?
What do you like best about the product?
Usually, I work on 4-5 projects at the same time. So, working with all the teams simultaneously for home and getting reminders of deadlines are two best things.
What do you dislike about the product?
Grouping tasks ProjectWise was the most boring thing to do on Monday. Asana should provide group task ProjectWise.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Management of different teams, handling Interns, tracking project timeline, and finding bottleneck problems faced during any project.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If your team or company is facing problems related to management. You should consider Asana. It will help to manage your team and find problems.
Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
Software is easy to use for any level of user. It's easy to setup and modify to meet your needs
What do you dislike about the product?
Column headers are hard to see and should have the option for color coding.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It keeps everyone on track with project status. Especially helpful with a remote workforce.
works well as content management system
What do you like best about the product?
I've used it for one project with my current editing job and for the entirety of my contracted time with a freelance client. It's very easy to use and helps organize tasks and deadlines. It's easy to mark something off as completed, assign it to the next person, tag someone, add an emoji reaction or a comment, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't had any issues yet but also have not been the one to create content and deadlines in the system. I can only speak as a user who marks tasks off and reassigns them (or reacts or comments). And I've had no issues with any of that yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For the special project I worked on, Asana was the perfect content management system to keep us organized and on track. Especially since I needed to collaborate with others outside of my team, it made things much smoother than if we were relying on emails and chats to keep each other updated.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I know there are a lot of content management systems out there to choose from, but if you only need something for up to 15 people, this is a good one to consider if the budget is an issue. It's easy to use and really keeps teams and projects organized.
The Future is getting closer and closer
What do you like best about the product?
I liked the interface of the application, very interactive and easy to use, mainly now when we are still suffering from a pandemic; it came to help and a lot in work at a distance. I also really liked how project management is done (especially excel), and its highest point is the focus on helping the user in your organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing in particular that I haven't liked out of the delay it sometimes takes to confirm the account email. Maybe the app could be better optimized for android users and send more notifications but nothing too wrong.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
solved many problems I had in working with my employees at the time of quarantine, and even at this very moment, I still use Asana to help organize my workflow very simply
Effective Team Management with ASANA
What do you like best about the product?
Coordinating with the team is more manageable with Asana. The tasks can be prioritized and assigned to the team members according to their skills. This project management tool has all the features you'd expect from a tool of its kind. The graphs of asana show data accruately which keep us on track. These graphs will allow us to determine how much work remains and make decisions accordingly. The ease of collaborating with Asana allows our team members to coordinate with each other more effectively and improve productivity.
What do you dislike about the product?
During my use, I found no downsides to it. It was quite reliable. For startups, it's a good deal. Mobile phones don't always work as smoothly as computers, though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To ensure the effectiveness and coordination of our organization, we use Asana as our task management software. As part of our project management process, we share data between team members and with other departments using Asana. After setting priorities into Asana, we've seen great results in our organization's efficiency. We are able to meet our deadlines earlier now.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Software like this is pretty good at what it does. I highly recommend it for better coordination among team members and to meet deadlines.
It could be a lot better
What do you like best about the product?
The things I like about Asana are the most basic of functions. You can assign priority levels, tags, projects, approval stages and dependencies. You can filter by complete/not complete, duplicate tasks and add subtasks. Although my default is board view, I'm very fond of the calendar view. Asana is a to-do list that will email daily about your tasks if you so desire to be emailed daily.
What do you dislike about the product?
The search feature is no Google; if you forget the name of the task you'll spend a lot of unnecessary time manually looking for it. You can't search comments or descriptions, only task names. Any user can change the due dates, projects and assignees at any given point, making it impossible to figure out who isn't doing their work and to what degree. My biggest pet peeve is the notifications. you either receive none of 50. I've missed countless assignments because someone tagged me in the comments but not the description. There's no automation / conditional logic to make our lives easier when we create tasks. Under "My Task" you have to automatically assign things to "do today", "do next week", "do later". I've used this software numerous times at different companies and I feel I still don't know it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All projects are placed in Asana, from the simplest 'capitalize the letter B' to more complex requests. We quickly see who is working and who has no work to do. There's transparency throughout the company. Everyone has access to calendars and projects, so each team is aware of what's happening, when. It serves as a great tool to keep our production meetings short.
An essential tool for project management
What do you like best about the product?
I've used Asana in the past as a part of my role in managing projects. It provided all the features I needed to track activities, set goals and manage resources. It was easy to use daily.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much I dislike about Asana. I was pleased when I used it, and it was a problem-solver. Nonetheless, I found the numerous notifications unnecessary and a bit redundant.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
At the moment, it enabled me to manage my team's workflow and daily to-do lists. It allowed me to set goals and connect my team members to work towards those goals.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Motivate your team to get to know all the tools Asana provides and make the most out of them.
Asana - good tool for project management!
What do you like best about the product?
Asana did make it easy to see who was doing what and what needs to happen for projects. This was used for event planning within the non profit space, some coworkers did need this tool to help them stay on track.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool did make me feel like I was being micromanaged. I like to do things on my own time and add to my calendar instead of using an app. I do understand however how this would be helpful for teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana allows others to see who has completed what and what still needs to be done. Asana is easy to use and allows for team projects to be successful and efficient.
