Honestly just use a planner
What do you like best about the product?
The premise of Asana is to be able to share your to-do list with colleagues and assign others tasks. I would perhaps enjoy this as a manager; as a subordinate, it's annoying. I find that managers tend to exploit Asana to micromanage their employees. This is, of course, not Asana's fault; the product does exactly what it's supposed to. It can be nice to be able to move tasks around on a virtual calendar, but I personally prefer the old-fashioned hand-written to-do list.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like the more communication platforms an organization uses, the more miscommunication occurs. It can become unclear what was communicated where, whether via Asana, Slack, or email. This is especially true when only some people in the organization use Asana regularly. If an organization wants to best use Asana, it should be implemented for everyone at once and made mandatory to avoid confusion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I like how Asana projects and tasks can link to emails and bring together all necessary information and instructions relevant to a to-do item. At times, Asana has helped me manage my time and workload and feel a sense of accomplishment when completing tasks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend only implementing Asana in workspaces that are tech-savvy. I love the Asana interface, but I think some find it overwhelming and a big learning curve. It would also probably be wise to hold an organization-wide workshop to make sure everyone is on the same page about how to use Asana.

Calendar view with all your team's and your tasks and due dates.
What do you dislike about the product?
Gantt view is missing, it just doesn't make sense to manage a project without understanding timelines and dependencies

Collaboration between teams, great benefit is the email notification per task

Go for the business package, it has a lot more capabilities

What do you like best about the product?
Asana has improved our team's efficiency drastically. I love the ability to build out projects and campaigns to help myself stay on track, and the options to share tasks and go-live dates for things to help with transparency. I am not always the most organized person, so having a tool that can offer me a structure and somewhat of a blueprint to aid me along is awesome.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a slight learning curve, but once you get the hang of it it's not bad at all. We had multiple team trainings which helped a lot. Sometimes things can get a bit cluttered which can be hard when there are multiple a bunch of different boards and tasks and stuff. The only downsides I can think of are that it can be hard to get every member of the team onboarded and fully bought in to having one central place to share all tasks and information. Once you have the whole team bought it, its awesome!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Task management, cross-collaboration, streamlining processes, and increased exposure to everyone's workload. Personally, it helps me think through all angels of the projects I work on and helps me to loop in the correct people at the appropriate times. I also think transparency is key so our team calendar is an awesome resource to see what everyone is working on and what marketing efforts we have going on during any given month.

I would definitely recommend giving it a try!
A full scale project management and team management solution
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is fantastic software tool for managing daily projects and the UI is the best part as it is user friendly and allows for comfortable functions and capabilities
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes email notifications can be a bit much, but this can all be controlled from within Asana
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have cross-functional communication in Asana. The benefits allow for collaboration across organizations and through all outstanding projects.
Best collaborative project management portal
What do you like best about the product?
Asana continues to develop to be an all-round project collaboration tool which reduces emails to manage projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
The weakness with Asana is the mobile app versions on tablets - cut down version of them and it automatically defaults to the mobile app on an iPad.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With a portfolio of projects, Asana helps manage the workload rather than a static Gantt chart. The integration with instagantt works well to suit both business needs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Plan your use cases before you use it, and if using it for project management reporting, get the instagantt integration.
Very good tool for project management
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is an excellent tool for dividing any type of project into consecutive or non-consecutive tasks, associated with the person in charge, company or necessary resource. This also allows you to have an overview of resource usage and task overlap for the same resource and avoid complications early.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside I see with this software is that it requires an additional license for the Office suite. This should be in the general package.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Part of my work is based on planning tasks within an adoption plan according to each client. The use of Asana is essential to be able to carry out each of the plans as planned, controlling that there are no deviations and being able to put together executive progress reports.
Great Project and Task Management Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like the collaboration functionality along with ease of use and flexibility. It makes both working from home and office very easy. It is very easy to create, assign and update the tasks. Also, I like how easy it is to use with so many functionality in one tool. It is very user friendly and it is my go to tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not diskile anything about Asana. It is a great tool for collaboration and project management and makes it much easier to organize tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since working from home, my team has been struggling with collborative work and asana has made it really easy to manage all of our tasks.It is a great tool to be organized and increase produtivity.

The Best Task Management System
What do you like best about the product?
We use Asana as our internal task management system, and it's straightforward to navigate and understand for the user. There are great features like the list that show exactly what is due that day, so a deadline never slips.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't anything particular about Asana that I do not like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deadlines weren't getting met internally and this is a great tool to keep our company on track and keep our clients happy.
Asana: The Zen Approach to Productivity and Work Management
What do you like best about the product?
I love how it keeps me focused on work, not on email, other apps, or other tools. I just get stuff done. It's easy to input tasks into Asana and it's easy to track the completeness of them. Also, it's awesome that I get to use the project management aspects of Asana to work on blog posts, email campaigns, social media management, and more.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's very little not to like, but I don't like that you might need to create many workspaces for multiple teams. My goal is to stay focused on work and toggling back and forth between different organizations can be a struggle and take you out of the flow of work, but if you're intentional about your time, you can get over that easily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't have to constantly check email and other apps to stay productive. I currently handle client work through my business, personal tasks, and client acquisition. This includes all aspects of lead generation, proposal writing, contract origination, execution, and then the work to execute on those terms. Internally, it helps me stay on top of my own marketing campaigns on social media, email marketing, content creation, marketing, and podcasting.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are someone who has to juggle a lot of tasks and projects and personal items, Asana would be perfect for you. I'm a solopreneur and work with clients and other colleagues, so Asana helps me with everything I need. I know it can help you too.
Manage projects & track progress
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Asana gives you the option to format your dashboard/projects either as lists or a kanban format.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a slight learning curve to setting things up or teaching others how to use Asana. However, the videos are very helpful for visual and auditory learners.

I am gathering information for projects in one place and have the ability to track progress and assign tasks.
