Asana: Easiest Project Management Platform That Keeps Everything Organized
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is honestly the best thing that has ever happened. It’s the easiest platform I’ve used for project management, and I really love that you can manage your own projects while also being part of multiple different teams and projects. Everything is housed in one place on the homepage, which keeps things super visible, organized, and easy to view. I’ve recommended this platform to many people.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, there isn’t much I dislike about Asana. The one thing that’s been consistently annoying is the Mac app: I have to re-log in over and over, and the whole process takes around two minutes. It’s especially frustrating when it involves linking it to Outlook. I’ve also run into situations where I get logged out unexpectedly and then have to go through the re-login process again, but those are the two main issues I’ve come across so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has solved so many problems in my day-to-day work. It’s the best place to keep everything in one spot, and to maintain a clear to-do list for any project I’m working on. I especially love the comments and tagging features, along with the other options you can add and customize within your projects. Overall, it makes it easy to tailor everything to the way I work and keep tasks organized.
Easy Task Organization and Clear Progress Tracking

Email notifications from projects that I'm copied in on can get noisy and create a cluttered inbox, sometimes making it difficult to determine notifications are meant toward me, and what are just team members making updates or comments on projects I'm not directly involved with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is helping me stay organized with day to day tasks, as well as visibility into company wide projects. I have a much clearer image of what tasks are important, what is due, and what can be deprioritized.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how Asana looks and the versatile use inside the tasks and projects. Being a very visual person, I appreciate the clear paths and oversights. It's important to me that a software looks good, and Asana meets that expectation. HubSpot was too complex and not visually appealing, whereas Asana is easy to use and looks much better. The initial setup of Asana was also very easy.

For user that prefer a visual over plain data, GANTT chart is your savior, it gives visual aids to track progress, status and issue tracking so you can know the status easier by a glance. Identifying people's levels of importance based solely on their tasks takes time. Perhaps assigning colors to the hierarchy would make it easier to see who is above and below them at a given level.

Frustrating Experience with Poor Usability
What do you like best about the product?
Nothing
What do you dislike about the product?
I find Asana more trouble than it's worth to use. It's not easy to use, and importing and exporting project plans from other software platforms is difficult. You can't share in a good format with customers without them having to sign up for an account. You can delete things very easily and never get them back. The notifications are horrible, and they go to people who shouldn't be notified, with no easy way to turn it off. The initial setup was horribly difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana does not solve any problems and is an adds unproductive administrative work for me.
