Asana has been really helpful
What do you like best about the product?
I like having all of my to-do items in one place and being able to share projects with colleagues.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be difficult to label tasks and I wish tasks automatically assigned to me unless otherwise specified.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing my curriculum and event calendars, as well as what steps are needed to accomplish each task.
Asana is quite easy to use but it lacks more complex features as compared to other PM software
What do you like best about the product?
Asana's best feature is its UX. No other Project management software is as easy to use as Asana. With each project that we manage, getting a summary of it in just one single scroll is a win for anyone that has multiple projects running concurrently. Along with this, Asana's form submission is one other feature that makes it a great software for project management.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana doesnt have a lot of complex features like being able to integrate it with other important software like Pandadoc, Jira so that we can easily correlate other project data via a single platform. This is one thing that makes Asana cumbersome when it comes to keeping up to date with existing project details.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it for project management and for some of our sales management tasks as well. We use it primarily for communicating with clients who have converted and it makes it incredibly easy for us to provide complete transparency to the client as far as the projects are concerned. The client can view everything in a single place and if they want to walk through the project's current status, they can do that easily. Along with this, we are using Asana to create a level of efforts for every client call we have.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for something that offers more complex project management functionalities, then go for Jira but if you want clarity and transparency, then Asana might be the right fit for you.
Also, if you don't want a steep learning curve, then go for Asana.

What do you like best about the product?
It is fairly easy to use internally as well as externally.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see more bulk updates. Example: bulk adding collaborators to groups of tasks, rather than having to do it one-by-one. Also bulk adding due dates for tasks.
Also, if someone is not @mentioned or a collaborator they are not notified that there was something that needs their attention. Would like to see more communication alerts available.

We use this as a project management tool for implementing software. It is a nice way to keep information in one place and keep people on task.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Decide how you want to use it up front and train any clients you want using it ahead of time!

Like any software (jira, trello etc) you need to make sure that all the tasks and related data is kept up to date

We are able to manage our tasks better. We save time. No tasks are lost in the pipeline.

It has a lot of capabilities, and you can view tasks in different formats (list, calendar, workflow).
What do you dislike about the product?
The home view doesn't show tasks that are past their due date, I've missed a few things because of this before.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping all of our tasks organized. The app is perfect for this. There are other apps that can do similar things, but Asana is more focused.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need a task manager, Asana is perfect for you. If you need a task manager along with a file manager, or a timing app, you might have to look somewhere else.

It is a great project management software and makes it easy for teams sitting at different offices to communicate.

What do you like best about the product?
Tag other users, manage due dates, assign reviewers; it has the basic tools you need without unnecessary complexity.
What do you dislike about the product?
You have to make a custom view to see just assignments assigned to you, which I feel should be an obvious default.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a lot of tasks and our projects often have many moving parts. We've turned all of these requirements into easy to clone templates and it helps us keep it all straight.
Mature product that could use some tweaking for better productivity
What do you like best about the product?
Asana looks great. The developers have clearly spent a ton of time polishing the overall UX. The mobile app is also good, and notifications can be customized to ensure you don't miss any tasks that are being assigned or that impact a project that affects your work.
What do you dislike about the product?
Individual project layouts can lead to complexity that creates confusion if you're looking for a particular task nested within a project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have a business that requires team cooperation, and Asana helps us coordinate to ensure projects are completed efficiently.
Virtual Checklist - Remote Team BFF
What do you like best about the product?
I love that it's a virtual check list that a larger team and collaborate on. It's extremely useful to stay on target and hold everyone accountable! It's deadline function is key, that way you can close the loop on any upcoming projects and ensure completion. The assignment feature is great too so there is clear expectations set as to who is responsible for each tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
A lot of moving parts for something that is so easy to use. A bit cluttered! I was super anxious to learn the platform, but now that I understand -- it's not so bad. I felt extremely overwhelmed when learning the platform. But it's all about how you decide to train, and define the program to beginners. There's definitely a lower level and higher level way of explaining its functions and you have to have the discertion as to who needs what training, and how detailed it needs to be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps keep everyone on task. Especially with a team being fully remote, it aids in collaboration and teamwork. Which is vital for a remote atmosphere!! I also think, within a startup atmosphere, it helps with fluidity and exposure to the team so they understand company direction.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be sure to implement this not only to high level employees -- lower level can benefit greatly from this application! So allow management, and entry level, employees to utilize this. It'll create a greater sense of unity!
