Effective PM Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is one of the most effective project management tools I've used to help manage projects, keep teams organized, and effectively communicate the next steps without having to make a phone call or wait for an email reply. I love that you can tag your team members in tasks and see the progress of your project moving forward. I also love the searchability!
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few process things that can be a little annoying, but overall I'm super happy with it.
One thing is that it can be a little clunky to attach an image to a task in the comments. Because all attachments sit at the top (and if you have a lot of comments), it can be hard to connect what the attachments belong to. Also, I find that moving tasks around between projects feel a little clunky sometimes.
I'd love to see this better integrate with tracking Client sales funnels. Perhaps it does and I'm just not aware.

Our company tracks all of our business management through Asana, along with the link to Slack. It's helpful to centralize all of our information in one place.

Their free version is robust and it's worth trying.

As an independent consultant, I don't have a team, but I have to pay for 5 places

With asana, I stay in a constant touch with my clients. Even without seeing each other we follow, at the same time, the progress of our project

What do you like best about the product?
For me this program is extremely important and is among the top five because the responsibility it has goes beyond what it can perform in terms of executions and deployment, that is, I can have organized and automated each task process that is referred to any specific project, which means that I can save a lot of work and adapt an evolution in a short period of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has flaws in the support, they should adapt a better formality in terms of operators at the time of establishing a solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Undoubtedly our organization has advanced in terms of project management, any work must be linked to Asana, because any structuring filter must go through a task planning process. It is very easy to make a query of any project and perform a special search to provide the right information to the work team.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend it because it is simple, the interface is very fast and has theme designs that make me feel comfortable to organize any project if you start using it now you will have a rapid improvement in terms of the distribution of activities to your team.
This service is faulty. once you start paying for it it stops working. Support team unreachable.

It does a good amount of what you'd want it to do.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that we pay over 300/month for a service that keeps kicking users out for no reason even though we have bought all the seats we use. And the damning fact that Asana's support team does not get back to you for weeks on end. It's been over a month and I have gotten no response. I contact the sales team and they respond in less than 24 hours. Funny how that works. Of course, they are useless though in helping us, telling us just to wait!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Nothing. Asana only creates more problems in our company's experience.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do not start paying for it. In our experience, it was the moment we started paying for Asana that we started having issues. It has impeded our operations since. Go for it if the free features work for you, absolutely. But once you start paying for it everything starts to glitch out and mess up.
Project Management made easy
What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Asana with various teams over the past few years, and it is a HUGE help in project management. It makes it easy to plan out projects, assign individuals tasks, connect links and images, and tie everything to company goals. Being the single source of truth for our org has been a lifesaver.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much I dislike! The goals functionality is new, but I'm looking forward to seeing how they add and expand it.

Asana helps me organise my work so I don't have to spend energy thinking about what to do

The UX is amazing, copy/pasting tasks, pics, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Difficult to convince colleagues and/or external people to manage projects on Asana.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing complex projects. In AB InBev I was able to manage a project involving more than 100 stakeholders.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is useful when you have the buy-in of most of the people in the organisation. It is especially important to gain executive sponsorship so important projects are managed on Asana. After that, you will need to spin-up the rest of employees

What do you like best about the product?
I love the status overview / update feature on projects, the ability to have portfolios, and use a project in so many different ways (event planning, content calendar, meeting agendas, kanban, etc.)
What do you dislike about the product?
To really use Asana effectively as a team, it takes dedication and commitment to shared conventions and uses. It just takes some time and energy to get everyone trained , not just on how to use the features, but also to decide and enforce how you'll use the tools together.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've been able to be more coordinated and "together" on projects. I see a huge difference in the way teams are informed and empowered with the clarity that Asana gives us when various efforts are organized and executed in Asana.

Be sure to attend a training and get clear about your plan for implementation and training employees.

You will probably love it after the first few days of using it, but to make it work in a team setup, you need to implement best practices and possibly the help of a coach / certified pro to save you hours of trial and error.
