Have used this at 4 different orgs and love it
What do you like best about the product?
Asana makes intra-team and inter-team communication very easy and the commenting system provides a clear record of work on any given task or project.
What do you dislike about the product?
When you start getting into tasks and subtasks, it can be hard to keep track of "where" you are in a project hierarchy. There is no visualization to show you where you are at the moment - you can only see the name of the previous hierarchical level.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana makes it easy to keep track of projects currently in progress as well as future ideas we want to try, all in the same place. This is better than having a ton of different spreadsheets or documents all spread out in a drive.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do not put "ongoing" tasks in Asana. I worked on a team that basically listed everything in my job description as separate tasks and assigned them to me, never to be marked complete. This was frustrating and cluttered my dashboard. Use Asana for projects and tasks that have a clear point of completion.

What do you dislike about the product?
There is a bit of a learning curve. While there are a ton of capabilities, it takes time to optimize your use of them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Great Task Management Software
What do you like best about the product?
There are so many great things about Asana. To name a few: the project tabs are user friendly and visually appealing, The task lists can be viewed in a timeline format, board format, list, and a number of other ways. It's easy to add users and assign tasks to them, and you can customize the columns to then show the measures that you want to see (eg. status, % completed, notes etc). I also love the overview page, which connects to your company goals.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see a Desktop app for Mac
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing a team and the team's tasks has never been easier. Things are getting done faster, and we will never go back to using a spreadsheet as a task list!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't be daunted at first. Take it one step or one project at a time.
Best Team Workflow App For Remote Working
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is every organizational tool you need for business in one platform. Task manager, calendar, file-sharing, collaboration. When it comes to planning projects, the software easily allows me to organize tasks, assign tasks to team members, and upload related media for review. In this age of remote working, I can't imagine a better way to streamline my team's workflow. The interface is easy to navigate and I've been using Asana for several years now.
What do you dislike about the product?
Absolutely nothing to dislike here so I'll share a snazzy secret. Sometimes when you complete a task in Asana, a rainbow unicorn flies across the screen. Talk about productive satisfaction!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana declutters my Slack email, consolidating all relevant files and updates in one free app.
A Virtual Assistant’s dream! Played a key role in helping us cross six figures.
What do you like best about the product?
The way you can add in people to complete exactly the tasks you want done;the built in templates and the fact that they are so customizable and can be used repeatedly with just small tweaks. As my virtual assistant said she credits the organization and collaboration and accountability we were able to create using Asana with crossing the 6-figure mark.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the design is a little boring. I know that's minor but it's the one thing that comes to mind.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization across multiple remote team members and clients. As well as the need to systematize processes and our ways of doing things and handing projects. Might sound cliche but asana has helped us save so much time and hold ourselves accountable in a way that helps tremendously.
Look out, Trello
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Asana is the options for swapping the views for your boards. Don't like the Trello card format? Try the list. this makes it great for lists/tasks, agendas, and anything else you need to organize and track. I also very much like being able to comment and see discussions for a historical view of what was talked about with regard to a particular task.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main quibble would be with the interface with regard to the project or group. Sometimes it's confusing which group project I'm viewing and it seems like there are a few extra steps of busy work in the setup of a project. Most likely a learning curve thing.Honestly, I haven't found anything else yet I dislike aside from the brand logo, which makes me feel like it's an app for tracking your cycle... It would be a great addition to be able to customize the app icon and maybe some of the other visuals as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This has helped me be more organized since comparing it to Trello. I love the conversational threads that can happen on tasks so I can go revisit what was concluded about a given issue with my team. I've also been able to bring more focus to my tasks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're working with a team of coworkers, I recommend getting them to adopt the use of Asana so they are not going outside of the app to update info or add new projects and tasks. Having the entire team use the app will make things run so much better.

What do you dislike about the product?
* I personally dislike the design - it looked like an organized mess. Still a mess though
* on the same note, I don't like the design - lack of graphics and visuals to make it easier for an eye
* I don't like templates that they offer - it's easier to create a new one myself rather than using one of their templates and wasting so much time to customize it to my needs
* Recurring tasks are a pain - you can only see the first line of the tasks and can't see the remaining ones until you complete the first one. It doesn't even make sense. They probably think they're helping us to stay on track, but in reality, it creates a hassle.

We're a small business, and each person in our company wears multiple hats, which means we have lots of responsibilities and things to do. Asana helps us track our tasks, collaborate, assign people and follow up.

One of the best collaborative tools for WFH teams
What do you like best about the product?
Being my first experience with project management tools, working with Asana was really so easy. You will require little or no help to understand the task distribution and the overall workflow. Managing our day-to-day task with Asana is quite simple. For the project managers, creating a new project and its subtasks is straightforward. Once the tasks are created they can be easily assigned to teams, just by names.
What do you dislike about the product?
Actually, there is no demerits or disadvantages to this application. The app works the best for all scenarios and project handling. Even if I compare it with EverNote I will prefer using Asana as it covers all the worthy features for project management. However, if I had to list one demerit then it would be its pricing. Once the pricing structure for paid Asana editions will become less, it will do wonders in the IT market.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I feel Asana is capable of handling everything, basic to complex projects. Task handling is very smooth and you don't need to refer to any tutorials for it. Yes, I have used a limited set of features but the free version is still better than the other tools. Talking about its visuals, the interface is neat and easy to understand. You can keep a track of all the tasks that have been assigned to you and you can change their status accordingly as working, done or completed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For new startup businesses, who have just entered into IT industry, Asana is the best tool for teams collaboration. The way it offers an option to create multiple projects and their subtasks is super. On top of that, you can set up priorities and deadlines for a specific task. Managers can easily keep an eye on the progress of the work whether it's pending or has been completed. Though I have not used the Premium and Business features, the Basic version will also do a great job.
In short, I would highly recommend it for the work for home culture.
