Great Platform for Group Work

  • June 04, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the timeline feature, so I can see what stage in the process I am at.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the tagging feature. I wish there was a way to assign a person in charge, as well as the asignee.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving problems of documentation. With asana, any time I make an updated note on a project there is digital documentation which helps with looking back and seeing what has or hasn't been done and who has or hasn't completed a task.

Project management software adaptable to any user.

What do you like best about the product?
Asana
specializes in facilitating teamwork, I like the way it enables up to 15 people to work together in its free version. The tool works with other popular tools: Slack and HipChat.
It can be used on iOS, Android, Mac, Windows, and on the Web.
Asana provides a space for Team Conversations. It is a message board where team members can discuss topics that are not directly related to any particular task, such as the scope of future projects, creative ideas or something related to procedures. In Asana every project has a roadmap. Each task can have subtasks, as well as an assignee, due date, attachments, comments, tags, and followers. These tasks and subtasks are used to track work.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not the best alternative or tool for graphic projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The basic operation is the organization by projects, tasks and subtasks and that, in turn, can be included in sections (for example, of what we have in process, pending or finished). Each section can contain a description, a deadline, and one or more assignees. If we finish the task in question, you can move on to the finishing section and this can make it disappear from the initial view of the tool. We can have it as a list or a board, but in case of having several delivery dates it can be useful to work with the calendar (you can put reminders of tasks to be done on a certain date or of repetitive ones) or the schedule. You can also issue internal notifications, attach files, have conversations (a type of internal chats) and even create request forms linked to a project, which is a way to collect specific requests or comments from people who may be external to the company and They can contribute even though they don't have Asana. This can help you brainstorm or get customer feedback.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Fast and responsive, excellent design, interactive elements and the number of members allowed in the free plan make it a powerful teamwork and personal project management software. The paid version provides the few additional features you would need for more complex workflow management. Asana, in my healthy opinion, is an excellent software that I definitely recommend.

Fantastic Project Management System

  • June 02, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I used asana for more than 6 years. The first couple years it was essentially my glorified to-do list. Then my team started using it, and it helped us get more organized. Then I switched companies and completed the Asana Academy training to get the asana together certificate. Learning the ins and outs of asana enabled me to really maximize the platform, set up sytems for my team and taking on the role of project manager. I loved all the automations and ability to tag other items within the platform. Eventually my team decided to switch to Monday.com because some of them were more familiar with that system and another team in our company used it as well, but my preference is asana.
What do you dislike about the product?
We had to remember to clearly label each task because sub-tasks would show up on individual's to-do list and they wouldn't have context if we didn't write clear tasks or explain in the description.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Aligning marketing team to create content and hit goals. Our production skyrocketed once we began using asana. I also used it to help with onboarding new members.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If choosing between asana and Monday.com, I would select asana.

Can't imagine life without Asana

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is extremely useful and helps you complete a lot of important tasks, yet, it remains very intuitive and easy to use.
I like that there are many project views available: list, kanban, timeline, calendar, depending on the need.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a shame that you have to move to the more expensive version to access most of the automations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We organize work across teams and manage repeatable processes.

Asana Essential Tool

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a project manager with a wide range of tools that are used to organize and plan work and help these projects to be carried out in an easier, more dynamic and efficient way. It is a fairly versatile project manager.
It has functions such as Scrum that allows you to carry out high-impact work, this being very similar to the Kanban method, only with Scrum you can carry out a project and continuously improve it and thus your team can work more efficiently. The Kanban method helps us to see your entire project through a board view and each stage of the project is being represented by columns, with this method each task and subtasks go through stages until their completion.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana really is the best project manager software I have used, there is nothing I dislike, all its tools are excellent and make your work much easier and organized.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is the best project manager I have used, its tools such as document storage, it has a content and questions library, marketing and team calendar, categorization and grouping, team chat, live and real time and with excellent control of approval processes, versions, remote access and business processes, among many other tools.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a project manager for an excellent organization, Asana is the ideal one, you will not need another project manager because this tool has all the necessary things to organize your projects, tasks and subtasks. It is ideal for both small and large companies and its interface is wonderful.

Useful to organize and prioritize assignments

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a great application for individuals or organization collaboration. It is essential to build work lists to monitor everything and to create more comprehensive project panels to maintain and cooperate throughout the workforce. Asana has a good user interface, including the use of color combinations, which helps users and work distinction. It may also be customized to provide you a picture of what’s better for your task. Asana also allows users to view their tasks, projects via their PC or smartphone faster.
What do you dislike about the product?
Whenever we directly block e-mail alerts in asana settings, It continues to deliver alerts from the mails, which is a little annoying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps me to see the progress and accomplishments of my task. This program has enabled me to determine the relevance of each of objectives established in my projects, then provide an appropriate reaction depending on the time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I suggest 100% of this. Asana is helpful program with advantages previously described.

Incredible platform; more than projects management

  • May 30, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana becomes more and more powerful the more you use it. It intuitively aligns teams on the most challenging obstacles. It's beautiful and fun.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's deceptively easy to use. Without a little hand holding, folks get frustrated. Without a little alignment on ways to use it, teams have to rework their projects
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Goal setting; role clarity; task management; team management; and communication. It just gets people all on the same page.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you have some guidelines and expertise with it. Ensure adoption across the org. Asana is more powerful the more people use it.

Honestly just use a planner

  • May 28, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The premise of Asana is to be able to share your to-do list with colleagues and assign others tasks. I would perhaps enjoy this as a manager; as a subordinate, it's annoying. I find that managers tend to exploit Asana to micromanage their employees. This is, of course, not Asana's fault; the product does exactly what it's supposed to. It can be nice to be able to move tasks around on a virtual calendar, but I personally prefer the old-fashioned hand-written to-do list.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like the more communication platforms an organization uses, the more miscommunication occurs. It can become unclear what was communicated where, whether via Asana, Slack, or email. This is especially true when only some people in the organization use Asana regularly. If an organization wants to best use Asana, it should be implemented for everyone at once and made mandatory to avoid confusion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I like how Asana projects and tasks can link to emails and bring together all necessary information and instructions relevant to a to-do item. At times, Asana has helped me manage my time and workload and feel a sense of accomplishment when completing tasks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend only implementing Asana in workspaces that are tech-savvy. I love the Asana interface, but I think some find it overwhelming and a big learning curve. It would also probably be wise to hold an organization-wide workshop to make sure everyone is on the same page about how to use Asana.

Great for handling development and deployment tasks and projects

  • May 28, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Calendar view with all your team's and your tasks and due dates.
What do you dislike about the product?
Gantt view is missing, it just doesn't make sense to manage a project without understanding timelines and dependencies
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration between teams, great benefit is the email notification per task
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for the business package, it has a lot more capabilities
