Asana - the ultimate task management system
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is the ultimate task management system that helps me care for all my needs and gives me the certainty I need to know I'll accomplish my tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because it's so robust, asana can be difficult to navigate in the early stages of adopting the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana solves all of my task management needs.
One of the best task management platforms out there
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, simple set up, great support, easy customization
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be confusing at first, but you get used to it quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Task management, QA, bug reporting, etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for a fast setup task management solution that can be customized, Asana is the way to go.
Best work management system I’ve ever used
What do you like best about the product?
All of the integrations it allows with other programs such as Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Teams, and more. It allows work to be streamlined and organized to get more done in less time.
What do you dislike about the product?
It allows so many sub-tasks that you can lose things amidst the sub task after sub task. Also there is no native desktop app. Lastly, it only allows many teams but I wish there were sub teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting projects and teams in line with tasks and accountability of work getting done. It allows us to braindump all tasks knowing we can come into work and rely on Asana to guide our day rather than trying to hold todo lists in our mind or writing them down and losing it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It’s easily the best work management system we’ve used, and worth giving a try
Asana - simple but effective project management software
What do you like best about the product?
The features are minimalistic so it's easy to find what you need. I mostly just use the 'my tasks' section so I can see what task is due in next and find out all the details. It also makes it easier to contact and talk to clients and team mates.
What do you dislike about the product?
The 'my tasks' tab could be more user-friendly. When I click on the different asks I expect to be able to see all the information I need about the task, but instead the information pops up in a very small tab and I'm prompted to edit the title and information. I also find that when tasks are reassigned to someone else it can get confusing - Asana says they are assigned to a 'private user' but this could be made more clear.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work virtually as a freelancer, and Asana made it easier for me to work virtually with my client. Instead of having to email back and forth with the client I can ask comments straight through Asana by uploading comments and upload documents straight on there. I also like being able to see all my tasks ahead of time as this makes it easier for me to plan my workload.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is good for teams that work virtually. It could get overwhelming if you have lots of different projects and team members as this would make it harder to find the information you want.
Popular product didn't wow me
What do you like best about the product?
I like the general task organization and ability to create steps/subparts. This is very helpful for individual projects but also large complex projects with multiple branches.
What do you dislike about the product?
I thought it was a bit too streamlined/minimalist. Communicating with team members within Asana itself was limited/clunky. I didn't see a big advantage over other, even far simpler solutions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were looking for a solution to manage mid-size coding projects with developers and content writers in a way that didn't lean so much on email. The idea was that we could all keep tabs on Asana for project status updates.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This lacks features of other project management tools, but that may be by design for smaller teams/simpler projects. Evaluate your needs before choosing Asana.
Best Task Management Platform!

I wish it was more intuitive from the start. It can seem a bit overwhelming for someone who hasn't used it before.

Pretty good for task management of technical projects
What do you like best about the product?
It has a lot of features. Kanban board, timelines, lists, it has everything that you can ask for in a task management software. Also allows you to undo accidentally deleted tasks etc. so everything seems to be backed up.
What do you dislike about the product?
The subtasks and dependency. I wish there the hierarchy can be better shown in the task list section. Maybe with indentations for subtasks or dependent tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Just the common problem of recording who should do what and when. Team members know exactly what to do and can quickly see what other tasks depend on their task.
Asana software has helped keep our company on the right track.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the user interface, it can be adapted to our work in the company to be able to choose the appearance of the toolbar. It is very easy to create, organize and monitor tasks with this program. I can assign tasks to any of my coworkers. Asanas also has a significant advantage in monitoring the pace of activities.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some ads are missing and I don't see them anymore. The mobile app does not inform you about new activities and requires a long time to update. A brief overview of all the projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has organized the company's colleagues more efficiently. All colleagues in our company know their jobs, priorities and circumstances thanks to Asana software. Our team has improved interactions. The needs of consumers are always met on time, as the system leads the way. Asana removes unnecessary emails. It saves a lot of time, because you no longer need to send emails and wait for an answer, everything is in Asana.

Asana helps us organize the work of the company's employees, manage each task and identify and eliminate risks even when the plans change in the future, so you can use the schedules to schedule the tasks you must present and see how each one The work is done and what you are proposing in the establishment.
Altogether great task management tool

Asana lets you create different projects with different members. There are provided great templates for different kind of projects. We have successfully integrated Asana with Slack to monitor our departments' activity as well as into our Sprint meetings where we use Asana for a recap of the past two weeks.

What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to have more control over My Tasks. It's quite easy to get lost in there and making my own structure takes time
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Asana mostly for the marketing department. It enables us to stay on top of our tasks and priorities. With the amount of ideas flying around every single day, it's easy to get lost in things that we actually want to do. With Asana, no matter what the importance or size of the task is, it is logged and tracked. The integration with Slack works great, and increases transparency and motivation in the whole department.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great project management tool especially for those that are going to use such tool for the first time. Think of it as a MailChimp of PM.
