Fine, but nothing special
What do you like best about the product?
Asana works super well for our R &D organization, but isn't widely integrated into our Sales and Marketing arm of the business.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's great when it's integrated fully into a team, but when trying to work cross functionally across the company it just becomes more noise.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Engineer iterations, product management communication.
Very user friendly and gives descriptive files to place each event details

how you can set up a certain event and assign someone to the task and add details that describe what needs to be done step by step.
What do you dislike about the product?
Notifications. things would sometimes get lost because there is room for so much detail and as I would get notifications I wouldn't know where the notification is coming from
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Brings unity to the team because each team member can see what is getting done. What has been completed and what has not yet been done.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great for a team dynamic to all be on the same page on what is being done. Helps each team member recognize what projects still have yet to be worked on.

Easy to use, create tasks, set up owners and duration, see a time line
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the features are not as easy to use, I can set a task to be dependent on another but only one way (not set one as parent of). I cannot assign tasks to multiple people.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Asana is simple to use project management tool with variety of features that helps to organize the boards in standard way, the drag and drop task management helps us to rearrange and prioritize the tickets.

Asana backlog prioritization is not much user friendly

To organize projects in professional manner, to prioritize backlogs and to generate reports
Great Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to set up projects and customize the layout for each one. Each project that you add on can be adjusted with dates, with sub-tasks, and can be assigned to other people or groups on your team. This is super helpful when it comes to regrouping with colleagues and being able to see which tasks each person has or has not completed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The layout for assigning tasks by date can be a little more accessible. Often times syncing up tasks to days of the week could be important for timelines. I realize that there is an integration available but a direct week-log might be beneficial for work days.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A key problem we're solving with Asana currently is bridging different teams together to integrate insights together in a timely manner. Coming together as a team and all being on the same page as to knowing where everybody is is critical to combining insights.

Go ahead and utilize the assigning feature for tasks for when you are working with a group.

I like that Asana gives you the option to pretty much custom build your product management tool.
As a user it is very straightforward how to populate fields.
As an admin Asana guides you through the different options that you can select for setting up your environment. Asana offers different layouts (Cross-Functional Project Plan, Asana Basics Training, Team Brainstorm, 1:1 Meeting Agenda) or a totally custom build layout
The way that asana integrats with slack is very nice. You can literally start a new task just but chatting with the bot or adding him to a conversation (in a group e . g . )

Asana is amazing for project management across multiple teams.
What do you like best about the product?
We started leveraging Asana as a company to ensure tasks and conversations on the floor didn't fall through the cracks. Since then, we've seen productivity increase and the reminders via email are great as everyone on the team is extremely busy.
What do you dislike about the product?
We just upgraded and are still earning how best to use the timelines, boards and other features. Outside of that, I'd love another field for due dates. We use due dates to change owner responsibility but we don't leverage it as something that's actually "due". I'd love to be able to API this to Salesforce and have a tagging system if possible
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We love that it allows us to communicate with less meetings and ensure visibility across the agency. As I mentioned above, we use this to ensure tasks and important messages are shared and don't slip through the cracks. When an account manager gets off the phone with a client, they input all needs from their media team and assign it to them to make sure they get the message across.
Amazing features but feels busy
What do you like best about the product?
Asana was amazing for assigning tasks and keeping track of them across multiple clients, projects, teammates and more!
What do you dislike about the product?
The overall interface (while it can do most of what you need it to do) felt very busy. When you have dozens of tasks and subtasks assigned to different people among different projects with different views, it can look quite overwhelming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Half of our team uses it for our internal project management software.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is great for task management, but in my opinion, if you want a great project management tool that looks simpler and still provides most of the same features, use Trello.
Easy way to organize projects and communication cross-team
What do you like best about the product?
I like setting up workflow, notifications, task deadline organization by date and the ability to loop in team members automatically to projects with full historical conversation and work thread.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was more ways to creatively display project timeline progress in a chart view.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cross-department project management, daily tasks, deadlines, organization for big projects with lots of small tasks.
