What do you like best about the product?
Asana is actually a fantastic platform, operating under the supervision of ours. It is not difficult to control and run all our actions efficiently. Working commission makes it very important to keep track of daily assignments. Asana works very well as a single hub to check all of my current and upcoming assignments to keep my schedule organized.
Asana can also have certain tasks repeat automatically, which is very useful if I have a regular weekly assignment or reminder like “update your schedule.”
Asana also allows different assignments to be seen by different supervisors. If I need to contact a supervisor for help I can see which supervisor is attached to my assignment and easily drop a comment to let them know.

One issue is that the comment system has almost no organization or subdivision. It’s all just one comment after another, which can make it difficult to find essential information when many people have to comment on an assignment.
Likewise the notification system doesn’t categorize at all. If you have one assignment due, five “likes” from comments, a new assignment added for next week, and an “at” from a supervisor, you will have to read through all of them one by one in the order of newest to oldest.

Asana is the primary management tool used in my business and it works wonders for keeping my schedule manageable. It also helps me feel like I have a clear work/life balance, even when checking my phone or computer. I can schedule specific time to check Asana every day and not worry about being bombarded with calendar notifications about work in my personal life.

Its the simplest project management software. Its team management is the best of its kind. It's very helpful for business teams. Also, its intuitive design and gamification keep it more engaging.

Communication is poor with external users. The learning curve some time seems high due to its vast features.

Boards make life easier
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Asana is the different boards we have created as a company. We have created boards that separate training for new hires, sales processes, marketing collaboration and more. The way the boards are set up gives everyone insight and a step by step look at what the process is to complete it.
What do you dislike about the product?
In the beginning we were not as organized and boards were total chaos. My recommendation is to update these boards often and add to them and take things away that are not relevant anymore. This is not a problem with Asana but with the team ensuring that everything is up to date and organized.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are keeping teams connected and giving new employees a roadmap to success. We are also using it to collaborate on new ideas to move the company forward. We are using it from a marketing perspective to understand where we are currently focused and what shifts we can make. Also from a sales team side to work on the perfect pitch.

A nice view of projects to have it on the calendar, list view, and also nicely integrated into google calendar for team access.

Inability to use date feature, non-custom of the requester name, duplicate task not triggers the ruleset, etc.

I would recommend using asana for project management, collaborate with a cross-functional team to track for 1 project which contains(Planning, budget, creative, content, demand gen, reporting, etc).

This application can not be said to be perfect, or even good. It depends on the needs you have. There are much more complete tools than this. However, they may be too complex for your operation to be effective. Others will be too simple and will leave some of your requirements hanging.

My assessment of Asana is, within these limitations that I have told you about, a great tool. The fact that your company is small, with few workers and with simple projects to organize, does not mean that you should dispense with correct management. In this case I recommend you try Asana.

I like the ability to assign tasks to others and tag others on my tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike some of the UX, but it is improving. Sometimes, it's hard to organize a board because the appropriate features don't exist. For example, you can't have a "header" section to a group of tasks without it being a large task you're prompted to complete. They recently added the ability to easily view sub tasks which is helpful.
