Feature risk task manager that encourages transparency in and across teams
What do you like best about the product?
The task boards are very flexible and allow you to change views to lists, calendars, or timelines. It's also easy to filter and sort tasks and to create tasks that depend on other tasks, have subtasks and are shared between multiple people. Asana for business also allows teams to easily get an overview of everyone's workload.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be useful to be able to group projects more clearly. For example, 'emails' may require several projects, so it would be good to be able to clearly mark them as related for ease of discovery.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Transparency in and across teams is easier since we were previously using different task managers that weren't connected. It also easily allows us to see how much work we can take on as a team.
Great program for small and large teams to keep track of projects
What do you like best about the product?
I found Asana to be extremely helpful in tracking projects. Whether you have a large team or a smaller team, it's a great collaboration tool for creatives. In my experience, it can be used across teams and projects, and is a great workflow management tool. It's very flexible and mobile with great desktop and mobile versions. And the great feeling you get when you check a project as done and are rewarded with an animated unicorn and rainbows is priceless.
What do you dislike about the product?
If there were budgeting software built in to this, this would be perfect for the agency I work for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I love the daily reminders I get when a project is nearing a due date - it really helps keep me on top of my to-do list.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have a team that has a lot of different types of projects with multiple deadlines, this is a great program to try - you can even trial it for less than 15 users.
We use the free version, and love it!
What do you like best about the product?
Asana makes it super easy to organize my tasks and tasks for my team. I'm in it every single day, using different features and making sure our team keeps up with all of their responsibilities. The Board features is my favorite - I love being able to clearly see the progress of tasks and how they are moving through the cycle.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing - I think the tool is great and I can't think of anything that should be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I manage several people, and before Asana I didn't have a lot of insight into what they were accomplishing each day. I love Asana.
Great application
What do you like best about the product?
I like the kanban board functionality. I also like the ability to see where my co-workers are within a task.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the look of the application. I think that it's time for a new theme.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using it to create tasks for projects and deadlines for those tasks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would highly recommend it to other Scrum teams that are searching for a better way to organize tasks.
best project management tool I've used, but hard to get buy-in
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is complicated without being confusing. There are projects, cards, tasks or to-do items. You assign who is part of what, due dates, you can comment, attach things, leave notes. It's superior to Basecamp and Trello, by miles.
What do you dislike about the product?
I struggle to get non-project-based folks to use it. Software, marketing? Sure. Sales? Nope. Then again, salespeople resist structure of all kinds.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana to track longer-term projects with multiple deadlines and deliverables. It has reduced stress by bringing to-do items onto the screen vs living in my head or a spreadsheet.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would look at how complex your projects really are - if it's just to-do lists you want to track, use Todoist.
Asana - One of the best PM tools
What do you like best about the product?
We used Asana with several clients. It provides a good way to manage projects, tasks, and subtasks. It's easy to assign tasks to team members, set due dates as well as provide necessary information fairly easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
We did not have much trouble with using Asana. We were able to execute some of the most difficult projects successfully using Asana.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our stakeholders were remote. Communication and collaborating across tasks was paramount to this project.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There are a lot of Project Management tools, some provide more functionality than others. Look for the one that works for you.
Easy to use project management software

Asana is extremely helpful for group projects, especially when your team is spread across the US!
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally, There are problems with syncing the app and the website version and with consistent notifications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've been able to work more collaboratively as a team and better divide tasks!
Keeping Team a Priority
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful thing about Asana for me is the list project list. My company always has at least 3 projects at once and I have a small part in many of them so it's good to see the progress we're making together.
What do you dislike about the product?
I disliked the default amount of emails that were sent to me so I had to tailor it to my own needs. I had a hard time with the lay out at first but like anything you have to invest some time into getting to know the site before it feels like home.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am finding that the issue of getting things done by the due date has greatly improved. I am able to see my assigned tasks in one place and can add to my own work flow list.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend that anyone looking to implement Asana take a good look at their team and ask themselves how productive they have been in their current to do lists. If the answer is that they are struggling with communication or meeting expectations, I would highly suggest Asana. It greatly helped our team to communicate dynamically.
Asana Review
What do you like best about the product?
As a supervisor, I like that I am able to set due dates for my team and everyone has visibility on what everyone is doing that week.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that whenever my team marks a task as complete that the due date shows up still in red. It looks like they did not finish the project on time when they actually did. I would like to see if one of them misses a due date. That would be helpful to track and I could go back and say you missed X amount of due dates last week, what happened?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Teaching my team how to project manage themselves. It works well for them to have visibility on their tasks for the week.
Asana is great in keeping projects in track!
What do you like best about the product?
That it is very simple, clean, and easy to follow.
What do you dislike about the product?
That there is not a guided training when first using the application.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving everyday task/new projects that arise.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Continue to have things easy and simple to use.
