Great Collaboration Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Personally I think the task management aspect is the best feature - version control, ability to collaborate, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the plans themselves were better - for example, we wanted to measure capacity for a specific person, but it ended up costing a lot more than expected since we had to upgrade the whole team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Task management, collaboration, product launch management. We've definitely seen improvement with tasks not being lost/forgotten.
Best app for organising an organisation
What do you like best about the product?
I have used this app from the day it was launched and it has been an absolute pleasure since the user interface is extremely easy to use, beautiful and always on your side. Management of each user is a bliss with individual time tracking per task.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does not work on my old iPad mini anymore. Takes up a reasonable amount of ram when open in your browser.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have managed crews for shooting student short films at university.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This app is the best out there.
Home in Asana
What do you like best about the product?
What don't I like!? Project management at it's finest. Let's start at the home page. From the moment you sign on, you can see all the tasks that are assigned to you be it late, that day or future. I love that people can have their own private individual or group projects, that you can assign tasks and dates and deadlines. Asana is constantly updating and improving and presents these updates to you in a a user-friendly way. It's amazin!
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, there's not much I dislike about Asana. Nothing that particularly comes to mind, anyway. Yes, at first glance it can be totally confusing. But there's so much to do! I guess I would wish they'd have a cheaper option for teams of 2-3 people who still want full access to the site and everything it allows. But at the end of the day the cost is worth it regardless.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Asana I was able to get a very disorganized and disoriented team member on the same page as everyone else. Asana allows you to create really user-friendly custom fields. We collect a lot of information here, and the task management in asana allows for easy staff turnover, as most of our processes are saved in here just by sheer tasks.
The program just didn't work for our small team
What do you like best about the product?
The design and overall look of the program is great. It's sleek, clean and well thought out. it seemed easy enough to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
For our small team, it was almost more work to track the work than to just have our own to do lists. By the time we input the data to track things we could have completed certain tasks. It just wasnt worth our time while we used it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were trying to get our team all on the same page and have a visual representation of the work that needed to be done. Asana gives you a way of tracking that, but we realized we weren't ready to use the program to that level yet.

What do you like best about the product?
For meetings, everyone is able to add to the agenda, it makes it dynamic and useable

I do not have anything I dislike. I don't use all of the features

we are . able to run meetings much more efficiently, and I am personally able to keep my to do lists dynamic
Asana is OK for managing projects
What do you like best about the product?
We use Asana to organize promotions for our store. So I like that we are able to see it all in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
I personally don't use Asana a lot. I only use it to view promotions, but I can find that information elsewhere.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can easily see promotions, and what is coming up on our schedule!
Great way to organize task across clients
What do you like best about the product?
This allows for new projects and recurring tasks to be in one place. You can also respond to each task in the tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to have one account across all clients to keep things in one place.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps to be transparent on when things are getting done.

What do you like best about the product?
I really like the Asana because it is a very good project management tools. It makes people's life very efficient and productive.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not that easy to navigate in the system. I wish they can made it easier for people to use. As people said. Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. I hope asana can work on that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project and personal life management. It brings a great benefit to me.
Great for teams
What do you like best about the product?
The best feature is setting up subtasks. This effectively makes complicated tasks like an automated Gant chart. The project just flows to the next person, with no PM needed to move it to the next player. Great for creating efficiencies and smooth workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a lot to get familiar with, so many different ways to view things - but once you figure out its actually an asset because you can dial in your "dashboard" or preferred view just the way you like it. All those options afford you that personalization

"too many balls in the air" problem reigned in!
Fantastic way to collaborate across teams
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Asana offers project tracking tools in many different formats (Kanban, Gantt, calendar, lists, etc) so everyone on your team can track projects in the way which works best for them. The notifications help keep me on track of all of my work, and it's very easy to learn, but also offers the opportunity to dive deeper into full mastery.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform's inability to convert one template type to another (List to Board; Board to List) is frustrating and leads to redundant work when a workflow changes and you need to recreate a project task-by-task. Also, when you copy a task, it does not send you into the new copy, but keeps you in the original. This leads to data being lost if a new team member doesn't notice that they're not editing the duplicate they created.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're using Asana to collaborate across teams within the same office as well as remote teams. We've simplified our bug reporting process so Customer Support can easily report issues to the appropriate people to triage to Engineering,
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely give Asana a try if you're looking for a project tracking tool. Like any tool, some people love it, some people are ambivalent. But with their bevy of features, it's worth a try.
