Using Asana to improve workflows and create processes

  • October 19, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the customization and the ability to create regimented routines for things you need to do. By creating workflows, anyone on our team can pick up where we’ve left off and complete a task.
What do you dislike about the product?
The new interface could use some visual work. I find it too spaced out and hard to figure out what is going on from a quick glance. Bring back the simple view!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Task completion, workflows, processes, task tracking, accountability, and progress reporting.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Much better than any other task management software I’ve tried in the past.

Asana is the best tool I have used to manage teams

  • October 19, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is intuitive and complete, it allows to visualize the complete panorama of the activities and to know the progress of the team in its tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far nothing, even the free version is perfect for startups allows you to add more than 10 people to the team and offers a 30-day trial of the premium plan
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has helped us complete the tasks of the teams and plan software versions in the future with small tasks that can be started today. The benefits have been to anticipate the tasks making them less heavy.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
That they use it, it is the most complete software to manage project, previously I tried many but this is the best.

    Telecommunications

One of the best task managing apps

  • October 19, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use. The whole process is extremely easy and user friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The process of editing, because anything we type in the page, even if mistakenly, gets saved and is quite bothersome .
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Task management issues. We can now easily select our target and solve them in a very short span of time.

    Outsourcing/Offshoring

Easy way to organice tasks between all you team

  • October 19, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Just create a task list, assign task to your mates, you could also add a time for the task. Your mates will be receiving alerts to complete the task. You could split tasks into projects. It's pretty easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think that would be a problem, but integrating the task to a Google calendar or exchange server will be good. However Asana could send you emails with calendar objects, so just accepting it will be enough
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing the hole team task and keep tracking in in real time, from your PC or phone. If you forgot to note something via you phone you could be adding tasks for the next day, nothing stops you, unless you run out of battery haha.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Is the best tool, it has a wide free use range, you could test it without limits. You will need to purchase after some team size, but it lets you like 20 people, it is a big enough for free

Very good tool with a good overview of our projects.

What do you like best about the product?
I love Asana and all of its functionality. It is a powerful everyday tool that made my job much easier. Asana is a beautiful, colorful program that makes organizing fun. It's not outdated, it's fresh, and it serves its purpose well. The thing that I like the most about Asana is how easy it is to organize tasks and assign them to team members.
What do you dislike about the product?
Design. Asana has been updating features and working on the design a lot and it has become more of a cumbersome product that many are leaving for Slack or Todoist.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used to use Asana as a company but then changed to other software because it was more suitable for our needs. I love the mission and team behind Asana but the product design changed and we moved onto another product. We had a decent overall experience with Asana just found other applications that fit our needs more and were better suited for what our company does.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Overall, Asana is innovative and helps our team organize. The bugs in the software can eventually be fixed and we're looking forward to staying with it.

Asana is great for remote teams!

What do you like best about the product?
I love the project board and ability to add tasks and check them off when finished. I love being able to archive projects and start team conversations with whom I choose.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think it integrates with anything I use. If it integrated with my time keeping or quickbooks it would be cool. Or maybe I haven't figured out what to use it for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can send and track final weekly payroll. I still do manual payroll so this is huge for me.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it and see what all it has to offer
It made communication better for my team!

Could be much more powerful

  • October 18, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is good at organizing tasks in projects and collaborating for tasks across teams. It is exceptionally easy to add followers to tasks and to assign tasks to other team members. It is also great for organizing projects across a team
What do you dislike about the product?
It could be so much better. There is minimal functionality to show progress on tasks or to meaningfully group tasks. It is difficult to view everything at once. It often requires many clicks to do a simple task. And it just overall seems disorganized.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaborating across a team and assigning tasks to other people Benefits of keeping track of tasks
