Great, Flexible Project Manager

  • October 24, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It easily organizes everything we’re doing as a business. Like any project management software, it takes regular checking in on everyone’s part to use it effectively. The phone version gives notifications which is perfect to get the attention of all your staff and stay on top of things. It gives good updates to a boss on who’s completed what tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
It seems like it could be simpler, but the complexity gives good customization and might cover some people’s needs better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are keeping track of projects that need collaborated on. Not everyone works in the office since we work with subcontractors. Gets every project to completion.

The Platform I Rely on Most

  • October 24, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a project management tool that I use everyday. The auto-generated to-do list keeps my team on track. All project details are contained in one place. It's easy to see updates, share files, and have a conversation. Asana makes it easy to stay organized and also report productivity to other departments. I even brought it with me to a new company when I changed jobs and it revolutionized their workflow & process.
What do you dislike about the product?
The typical pay-per-member-per-month gets expensive quickly. I've been reluctant to add on some part or freelance employees due to cost which is a detriment to my team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workload distribution can be tracked, productivity monitored, and project assets organized. You can even connect it to outlook. This solves crazy email chains and misplaced assets.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I'd highly recommend trying Asana. The organization will be helpful for managers, users, and even sharing with other departments or administration.

It’s great for assigning a task to someone and following up on that

  • October 24, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- The action items of our staff meetings are based on Asana tasks
- All the history is dated
What do you dislike about the product?
- At least in the free version of Asana, there is no way of setting condition, such as, if there X task is not completed, task Y is not active
- Also, tasks completion should require an approval from the person that created the task or the admin for that project
- Anyone can modify the description of the tasks
- If someone was assigned a sub task, but the person is not a follower of the main task, he/she cannot see it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are now able to track each other’s tasks and move forward with projects that were not developing well beforehand

Sleek and Simple

  • October 24, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the various template options to fit whatever kind of project or project management format you prefer. I like the accountability built in—like being able to see all the tasks of everyone on my team and receiving email alerts when changes are made or tasks updated.
What do you dislike about the product?
The limitations of the free version. I haven’t seen a way to save project boards or lists for future reference.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team task organization, delegation, and accountability. Asana has made it easier to assign tasks and keep track of what everyone on my team is working on. It’s easy to access in and outside of the office and it updates in real-time which saves time.

Works well but could use better integration

  • October 24, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to manage tasks and open projects collaboratively. Sub task functionality makes it easy to knock out large projects on step at a time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana doesn’t integrate well with the other programs I use. It would be nice to have calendar appointments for due dates and open tasks instead of receiving emails all the time — all of the emails are super annoying. It would also be nice to have subtask timelines.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Better time management and assignment of tasks to team members

Corporate Communications Specialist

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Very convenient project management platform. It is easy to use, plan workflow and projects, organize your team and follow any updates. It has useful features like subtasks, boards view and calendar view.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no option to hide team members from the sidebar and templates are very basic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I do use it to view the overall progress per project or team. I also use boards a lot, so I can post social media graphics and get approval from upper management.

Great Product

  • October 24, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
A simplified approach toward project management.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have not had an opportunity to explore business/pro features which I'm assuming address any friction points I may have with managing priority on tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Task ownership and progress in larger team projects where cross-departmental collaboration is critical. Individual management of weekly tasks and due dates.

Powerful workflow management software

  • October 23, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is extremely flexible and has an incredible kanban view for categorizing tasks and is robust enough to allow us to customize different boards for different purposes.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice to have a centralized dashboard for everything that someone is working on - as it is right now, they have to go into each individual board to see what tasks they're needing to work on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have used Asana to better coordinate authorizations between team members and determine what needs to be done for auths to be submitted and us to properly be paid by the insurance company. It's a very powerful program that is also easy to use. We've been able to cycle through multiple people in those positions since implementation and during that timeframe we haven't lost any revenue due to auths not received. Normally we would have seen a 10-20% reduction in insurance revenue.
