Great individually, almost too powerful for collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is great for those who use Getting Things Done as a task management methodology. It's also opened up to newer methods such as Kanban.
What do you dislike about the product?
In recent months they've also added in other methods but at the expense of simplicity - it's now harder for new users to just get stuck in. It's also missing one feature from Nirvana - being able to tag a task as 'waiting for' someone else, for when you retain responsibility for a task but are not the next person to act upon it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is my offboard brain - I literally couldn't work without it. It helps me coordinate, prioritise and control my work day.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The free trial allows a good roam around the feature set, but you need to set up at least one other user before you can try it 'for real'. Sharing tasks, notes etc with another user is where Asana shines.
Great tool for project management
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a cost effective platform with a very supportive surface for project management. Projects and departments are easy to handle and set up. Although it lacks certain useful features provided by other software for task management such as JIRA. Asana has a really good optical look and is very well constructed. This works in an easily understandable manner to organize programs, timetables, and assign activities. It offers a good version of the app.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has informal interface and lacks certain reporting features. You can't switch between Kanban and regular view after you've created a project. It's somewhat pricey and may deter smaller enterprises.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps me organize my team and track projects efficiently. It is a very fun, immersive application that motivates the users in a timely manner to complete tasks. Some software may jeopardize the design of an easy-to-use interface, while others may sacrifice the elegance of their app to look vibrant and new. Asana is doing both! Our team makes regular use of Asana.

It's a nice project management tool and you should give it a try.
Good product, roadmap a little unclear
What do you like best about the product?
simple to learn and use (relatively easy to train others), effective task management. User Interface is good, and generally reliable. Any downtime is short lived, and we've never lost any data, or had any security concerns.
What do you dislike about the product?
visible updates/changes too regular, sometimes remove features from my priceplan, try and push me to upgrade too regularly (in my opinion).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
managing complex projects with many tasks to keep track of. Easily categorise tasks, and assign them to other users. Facilitates the design and implementation of simple workflows
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be careful of making extensive use of extraneous features (for example, tags), as they can seemingly be sidelined without much notice.

What do you like best about the product?
I think Asana is a great tool for teachers and students, because it's easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe the interface wasn't familiar at first, there's a lot of commands that can struggle with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's slot easier the teacher-students communication, it allows you to clarify the assignments and receive them on time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take your time reviewing, it's not that complicated when you are familiarized with the whole product and it can make you save money and effort.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how intuitive Asana is. It is self-explanatory and requires minimal onboardibg and training of the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how there are too many choices for customization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I’m solving basic project management problems including tracking teammates’ progression.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Assign one project manager to assign and organize tasks in each individual project.
It helps us stay organized, but can sometimes can be frustrating.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the modern design of the web interface and the extensive options for tasks, subtasks, etc. We also benefit from the extensive task features, like subtasks, dependent tasks, and uploading documents within specific tasks. I also enjoy some of the new updates to the inbox feature. For example, now I can filter my inbox to only show updates from tasks assigned to myself. These are good updates!
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features are unintuitive and needlessly time-consuming. For example, when trying to remove dates for multiple tasks at one time you run into problems. Another thing we dislike was the addition of a new pricing tier for new features. It would have been nice to extend the benefits to existing users. Also, adding clients to our projects can be confusing at times, as its hard to control the number of notifications and emails they get initially.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps us keep client projects organized, on-time, and helps us keep team members updated on task progress. With Asana we've been able to make sure that client work doesn't fall through the cracks. We've also been able to easily share files and project updates with our team. Overall, Asana helps us improve team efficiency and communication.

Take the time to learn how to use the features under the hood. These can make the difference between it working and not working for your team.
Manage all your team work in one place with Asana
What do you like best about the product?
Asana organizes everything from company objective to routine tasking in one place. You can easily asign work to team memebers using Asana. You can also mark it completed when the task is finished. This gives clear picture of the tasks completed and pending tasks. Thus you can monitor projects in real time and keep your project on track. You can easily say goodbye to endless email chains and last minute scrambles.
What do you dislike about the product?
You have to upgrade if you want to get more of reporting analytics. Also the paid version is a bit expensive
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been able to easily allocate work to my team members without any issues. It makes project management very easy. I can also track work progress with this tool.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a marvellous tool. It is better than anything available in town. It;s absolutely wonderful for software developers

I love the calendar view and being able to prioritize tasks and projects. I also love the app.

Not being able to drag and drop the order of tasks.

Time management, personal accountability, managing the project breakout more efficiently.
Asana great project management tool
What do you like best about the product?
We’ve tried many tools in my team and asana was by far the most user friendly one.
What do you dislike about the product?
For some people it takes more effort to go update asana at each step of a project, you need to really show them the effectiveness of the tool for being able to convince them of the use of this project management software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Asana I’m clearly able identify which tasks has been completed!
Best organizational tool!!!
What do you like best about the product?
Omg this thing changed how me and my coworker worked together. We have over 200 agents so when we sign them there is a checklist of things to do. The two of us were both doing the tasks, and needed a way to communicate together. Asana changed EVERYTHING!! You can make little lists of things to be done, and categorize them between teams/accounts so we could both work on it from different parts of the building. The notes section was super helpful too so if we were waiting on paperwork or something we could put that in there too.
What do you dislike about the product?
100% honest, it's all amazing. This program legitimately makes my life SO much easier lol.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote communications and organization. It makes it easier to let others know what I have and havent done, keep everything organized in different stages, assign tasks to people so I dont have to tell them. It's really awesome.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You Can use it to organize just about anything. We use it for an on boarding process involving paperwork. But technically you could use it for anything at all including goals, cooking recipes, your schedule, really just about anything. It keeps you organized and gives you reminders which is super helpful
